The lights came on! I understood the power of the way we think but I never understood how to turn it into manifestation.

My negative situations started to change positively after listening to the first and first quarter of the second CDs. I'm on my third listen now and it's starting to get easier to block out the negative thoughts and bring in the positive. I and my sister are seeing everything we had lose (esteem, confidence, patience to businesses, properties) come back to us better than before and easier also.

Since I'm more of an audio/visual learner, I'm going to purchase the book just for the diagrams.

If you're around negative situations or people spouting negativity you need to get this and allow it to penetrate. Your life will change for the better!

The Laws of Thinking: 20 Secrets to Using the Divine Power of Your Mind to Manifest ProsperityThis book has changed my life forever. Had I had this ensightful knowledge taught to me when I was 21 years of age or younger, there would not have been the same unnecessary struggles that I was lied to about, that said I had to do this, would not have been a part of my forced makeup of lack and defeat... Thank you Bishop E. Bernard Jordan for being the conduit that brought to us this consciousness of God...

Very good LOA guide

Review Date: 2008-08-12
I appreciate the fact that this book isn't as long-winded and confusing as some other LOA books; just cut to the chase and give me the tools I need to manifest what I want! I can also sense the author's sincerity in reaching out to others; I don't feel like she is just trying to make money off the whole LOA thing. This is very easy to apply and I do feel a shift in my "vibration" just from reading the book! This is a book I will definately add to my book collection and wouldn't hesitate to share with others.

A concise version on how to manifest

I thought this was a good book for people who have short attention spans and just want the quick overview of how to manifest what you want. If you have already read The Secret or Excuse Me, Your Life is Waiting and understand how to manifest, I would not waste time reading this book, on the other hand, if you are new to the whole idea of manifesting this would be a great start.

I don't understand the comments about not being to put the book down until they had finished it. How hard was that? The book isn't very long or all that informative either. It's just the same LOA stuff being re-hashed into her own "let me talk all about me" story. Check out her website before you order her book and see if this really is the type of person you want telling you how to live your life. She seems a little self absorbed to care how you or I live.

Taking the advice of one of the other reviewers, I visited the author, Cindy Day's website. After reading about the author, I just had to buy this book! Overcoming poverty, homelessness, and many other ups and downs in life, if she can turn her life around using the LOA, that's someone I wanted to hear from! I enjoyed how simply she explains it, and the fact that she keeps it light. Also, it doesn't matter who or what you believe in, this book is easily for everyone. If you are new to the LOA, then you must get this!

Ive been reading so many self help/LOA book lately. Think and Grow Rich, The Science of getting Rich, The master key system, the power of the subconscious, all great books. But this book is sums up everything and anything you would ever need to improve your life. This book is also enjoyable to read, I honestly laughed about 5 times and thats honestly the first time I laughed while reading a LOA book. Only reason why I laughed was because it is so easy to relate your life to everything she explains which is freaking awesome. Get this book!!

Good effort to debunk the principles behind the popular craze involving the law of attraction, especially insightful in pointing out its shortcoming relative to the quantum aspects. But I am not sure if it was successful in dissuading readers in turning away from the Law of Attraction.

Not exactly what I expected.... but interesting...

I was looking for more information on how to apply the Law of Attraction... I ordered, took a 9 hr trip and started listening to it. It reads more like an investigative reporter... I think I trust most of what was said and I certainly have come to respect Jerry & Esther Hicks more. I'm not sure it is really for the person who has just been exposed to the Secret. Once someone has experienced some incredible results I think they are then ready to listen to someone pick the Secret and Law of Attraction apart. Interesting read.

Kelly wrote a great piece, well researched, on the success of a booklet/dvd and thought that seems has taken the world by storm. Kelly does not ridicule but takes a tep back to be able to figure out why and how 'the secret' became a hit, as well as what is true and not true about the many claims made by its author and the people Byrne decided to use for her dvd and book. Does quantum physics really hold a key to acquiring wealth? Is that really what the scientists say?
Kelly makes it abolutely clear that sitting down and dreaming of success has never been a proven formula for succes, and also makes a strong point that contentment in life does not necessarily come from eating the fruits of one's labour, but from actually getting out there to search for those fruits; i.e. the journey is more interesting than the goal.
That messsage might not be as popular as the promise of 'instant gratification' through the acquisition of great amounts of matter carried by "the Secret", but definitely more realistic.

A Good General Sociocultural Approach, But Lacking Depth
Helpful Votes: 4 out of 4 total.
Review Date: 2008-05-09
Kelly's book approaches The Secret from a sociocultural perspective, attempting to find a middle way between the secular and religious critics while also being sensitive to the supporters of Byrne and company. Naturally, this approach may seem too neutral for some critics, but will find favor with some supporters.

Given that Kelly researched and wrote the book in six weeks, and provides historical and biographical details from original research that are not found in other books, it is a welcome effort. However, there are some notable omissions due, perhaps, to her lack of deeper familiarity with the New Age Movement (including esotericism/occultism) in general and the New Thought Movement in particular, especially as they relate to the Self-Help tradition in American culture. The following books would have helped fill in the gaps: New Age Religion and Western Culture: Esotericism in the Mirror of Secular Thought (1998) by Wouter J. Hanegraaff, The Roads to Truth: In Search of New Thought's Roots (2005) by Sherry Evans, and Self-Help and Popular Religion in Early American Culture: An Interpretive Guide (1999) along with its companion Self-Help and Popular Religion in Modern American Culture (1999) by Roy M. Anker.

Although Kelly admits on page 34 that a "history of the self-help movement is beyond the scope" of her book, her statement that after Benjamin Franklin "the most influential person in terms of the happiness and self-help movement may be William James" is seriously questionable, although both individuals are important. Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803 - 1882) and Phineas P. Quimby (1802 - 1866) should also be mentioned as the fountainheads of Transcendentalism and New Thought, respectively. Regarding the latter as it relates to the law of attraction, the influence of Ralph Waldo Trine (1866 - 1958), especially his popular classic In Tune with the Infinite (1897) should be mentioned. For what it's worth (which may not be much), Sherry Evans in her above-mentioned book stated that "Henry Ford credits his success in the automobile manufacturing business to Trine's book" (page 142). This is not addressed by Kelly in her section on Ford in chapter 9, although some websites say the same thing. Trine's book mentions and expounds on the law of attraction. Also, Roy Anker in his first book referenced above shows the impact of the revivalism of The Second Great Awakening at the beginning of the 19th century on individualism and self-help in America. For more details regarding the conservative influence in 19th and early 20th century America, see not only Anker's books but also The Holiness Revival of the Nineteenth Century by Melvin Dieter and Faith Cure: Divine Healing in the Holiness and Pentecostal Movements by Nancy Hardesty. For a broader perspective, see Healing in the History of Christianity by Amanda Porterfield who makes an insightful comparison between Benjamin Franklin and John Wesley in terms of health related to self-help and doesn't leave out the impact of New Thought and Christian Science.

Although it is acknowledged that Kelly begins Part II (The Ideas Behind the Secret) by stating that her "look at the philosophical, scientific, and theological ideas behind the law of attraction is far from exhaustive" (page 79), she still overlooks the role of 19th century Spiritualism in the history of the law of attraction as well as the impact the ideas of Emanuel Swedenborg (1688 - 1772) had in America. J. Stillson Judah in his book The History and Philosophy of the Metaphysical Movements in America (1967), ties the law of attraction to Andrew Jackson Davis (1826 - 1910), the primary theologian of 19th century American Spiritualism. He states: "The law of attraction, so important to Spiritualism and to other metaphysical groups, also had its basis in Swedenborg's doctrine of correspondences. This was the name which Davis gave to his theory that effects correspond to and represent the essentials of their causes. Like attracts like. In Davis' application it meant that after death a person would be attracted to the spirit plane corresponding to his development and progression in this world. Conversely, Davis maintained that thoughts of love and kindness would attract spirits of the higher planes to the seance... The metaphysical healing groups add a further interpretation to this law: each person's conditions, e.g., health, sickness, prosperity, poverty, etc. are attracted to him according to his thinking" (pages 39 - 40). In Spiritualism in America (1861) by Benjamin Coleman, there is a quote from a Mr. Newton which states: "We were taught that the great law of attraction or affinity holds as universally in the spiritual as in the physical world; that we draw around us spirits like ourselves, those whose motives, feelings, aspirations, are most in affinity with our own, and that if we would attract only the good, the pure, the exalted, we must ourselves be pure-minded, sincere, devout; and the channel of communication must also be pure and elevated" (page 80). 19th century Spiritualism is a precursor to contemporary channeling such as that of Esther Hicks.

Other areas not covered by Kelly include the historical relationship between the law of attraction and mesmerism, spiritual evolution, and the law of karma. Regarding the last two, there are several New Thought authors, including William Walker Atkinson (1862 - 1932) and James Allen (1864 - 1912) that relate these concepts to attraction. However, like Kelly's book, Rhonda Byrne's The Secret doesn't cover these topics either. Just like Kelly's research may have merely introduced her to the New Thought Movement, I believe the same applies to Byrne. Byrne's enthusiasm behind the production of The Secret film and book is that of a new convert, not a seasoned New Thought practitioner with an in-depth knowledge of esoteric ideas. Keep this in mind when reading either Byrne's or Kelly's book. Taking the above into consideration, I still recommend The Secret of "The Secret" and enjoyed reading it.

In the beggining of this book the writer claims to keep an open mind about the law of attraction theory during the investigation to uncover the truth. Its easy to say less then half way through that it is clearly debunked by the writer from the start who seems not to give it a chance. Also it was done, I feel in a way to quickly cash in on the success of the secret , It seems the writer didn't take the time to note true facts. An example in one part there is a reference to jesus saying ask and it is given. A reverend totally debunks the notion as a reference to the law of attraction. But no one mentions what else jesus said even though it is on the very same bible page !! The quote " i tell you if you say to this mountain go into the sea and you beleave this in your heart then what so ever you ask for shall be given to you."
This is not keeping an open mind in my opinion. Also they claim all the quotes from einstein " imagination is the preview to lifes coming attractions is fake. ok but they don't mention that einstein did say " imagination is more important then knowledge"
also they say andrew carnagie knew nothing about the law . But they missed the quote" immense power is acquired by assuring yourself in your secret reveries that you were born to control affairs" or the man who acquires the ability to take full possession of his own mind may take possession of anything else to which he is justly entited"
And they dubunk every other historian saying they were miss quoted and alaxander bell and his quotes are cut out completely
The writer never mentions these quotes in order to at least show she is truly calling it even. according to her nepoleon hill too is a liar and never interviewed carnagie. This book is a shame and it seems that the writer didn't even take the time to note important facts . This book is just an excuse to cash in on the secret nothing more.

GREAT GREAT GREAT Message except bad batch of CD's had to send it back to amazon. The recording production of the what amazon bought was bad. A botched recording segments would over lap each other at the end and beginning between each segment. I would suggest buying this set from Mike Dooley's web site if you want a good recording. 5 star on the message 1 star on the quality of the recording.

Save your money. The philosophy is simple - positive thoughts are better than negative. Yes, thinking positively about something can only help to lead you to it since it becomes a goal, but to imply that the universe will magically make it happen is hogwash. The author sites examples in his life that support his theory, but I say it's coincidence. If you drank a glass of water before each time you drove your car and you never had an accident, you could conclude that drinking water makes you a better driver or protects you while you drive. This is the same silly conclusion that he wants you to believe. "A drink of water protects while driving". Uh oh, I just gave him an idea for his next earth shattering inspiration.

Like another reviewer said, these books are Christian based but she does have some Eastern philosophy sprinkled throughout that creates a nice balance. Combined with the Abraham/Esther and Jerry Hicks books, Florence Scovel Shinn books pack a powerful POSITIVE punch. Her books will lift your spirit in your darkest moments.

"Life" by Lauren Tratar is an excellent book that delves into some astonishing information about the nature of personal reality, negative energy vortex, adamantine particles, and magnetic evidence. This is a very valuable workbook and guide. Firstly the reader explores their present beliefs, and then identifies what is wanted out of life, and finally how to use the law of attraction to manifest what you really want.

Also included are some extremely vlauable tools to guide you back on your path if you've lost your way.

A must read for anyone who is serious about personal self development work.

Purporting to unveil the secret behind The Secret this book is a confused mish-mash New Age philosophy and pop psychology.

On the positive side, this book is physically quite attractive. The binder and section dividers feature lovely photographs and I thought the format was promising. The problem, however is in the contents. The author's style is clumsily self-conscious and she doesn't have an original idea.(In all fairness, there is not much new on the Law of Attraction. The trick is in a fresh presentation.) The book is packed with quotations of other people's works and song lyrics. Apparently, the author once ordered one book and another, a book of inspirational quotations, came instead She found this book wonderfully inspirational and each chapter features not just one or two quotes, but sometimes pages of them. Sorry, if I wanted to read Conversations with God I, II and III, The Nature of Personal Reality or any of the others she relies on, I would not have been reading her book. This over reliance on quotes is disruptive and contributes to the careful, term paperish effect.

This book quickly loses focus, jumping wildly from a clunky law of attraction formula to a recitation of the author's traumatic and abusive childhood and journey through different recovery modalities. While I credit her for addressing these challenges, it reads like a bad episode of Dr. Phil. It is somewhat troubling that she disparages the classic twelve step method as it does not fit within the precepts of her message.

The author refers to her higher self as "Angel". If you subscribe to the traditional definition of angels as being messengers of God, you will find his usage jarring.

If you are interested in the law of Attraction, there are many fine books that present it in an accessible manner. You can't go wrong with the classic Dynamic Laws of Prosperity by Catherine Ponder. The Abraham -Hicks materials provide a contemporary look at the law of attraction as do the Attractor Factor by Joe Vitale and Lynne Grabhorn's Excuse Me Your Life is Waiting. Michale Losier's Law of Attraction workbook is simple but effective while The Sedona Method and Larry Crane's Abundance Course are superb tutorials on releasing. If you opt for this offering you will receive a really neat binder and a headache.

This is one of those books that can truly change your life - if approached with an open mind...

Within "A New Beginning", the author discusses the laws of the universe, and how by following these laws, one can achieve the life they want. This book is about how important our thoughts are in creating our experiences, including how they attract certain "types" of people into our lives. Exercises are also included to help you utilize these universal laws to attract those experiences/people that you DO WANT, instead of those you'd like to avoid.

It's shown that we are responsible for EVERYTHING we experience, as we are the creators of our current life experiences - therefore, it no longer makes sense to spend time blaming others for our plight. Instead, we need to figure out where we miscreated, and fix it by creating what we do want instead.

Although everything makes a lot of sense, and I can see how my thoughts have impacted my life, I still have 1 question... and that is re: the horrible experiences that some children go through - I'm uncertain as to how they brought those experiences into their lives. But I feel certain that I'll gain a greater understanding of this as I research the other works by this author further.

As a side note, the information included in this book was obtained through the channeling of ABRAHAM - a group of entities in the non-physical universe - through Esther Hicks.

Overall, I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested in changing some aspect of their life; those interested in universal laws; and those interested in communications from the other side.

I would also recommend that you read "The Power of Intention" by Wayne Dyer, as this is another excellent book on the power of our thoughts, and how we can literally change our life by changing our thoughts.

I found this book a little murky especially when I got to the earth quake prediction (a date that came and went already). If you are new to channeled material (like I was) I would not recommend this book or its follow up of A New Beginning II.

If you are interested in Creative Manifestation try Sanaya Roman.

The best of the Abraham-Hicks books

A New Beginning I : Handbook for Joyous Survival is the best of the Abrahm-Hicks series and can be considered to contain the main messages of Abraham. The other books by Jerry and Esther Hicks are sequels to this edition and contain elaborative information on the teachings in this book. This book easily presents to the reader a philosophy of the creation of personal experience. Like in the Seth books by Jane Roberts, the non-physical entities repeat to us the message that we are the creators of our own life-experiences, through the constant application of the laws of the universe consciously or by default. A new beginning presents us with a practical guide on the way of creating our life-experiences consciously and deliberately the way we want. I recommend this book highly and as supplements, all the Abraham-Hicks books. I also recommend all the Seth books. As they fit together beautifully. A must to every seeker's library.

This book is one of the many books that speak of the Universal laws and Truths of manifesting. I was quite disappointed by one of the readers who reviewed this book and implied at the end of the review that this material could have possibly been plagerzied by a well known spiritual and motivational teacher. Universal laws and truths have existed throughout the ages and the truths are uncovered on a soul level when the spirit is ready to receive them. They are not the discovery or copyright of solely one individual. Source has many methods and many mouthpieces, each bringing and teaching Truth in their own way.

As with many other books on the laws of manifesting, this book adequately outlines the universal laws and gives some great insights. What sets it above most of the others is that it provides non-abstract methods to actually apply these laws without alot of the new age lingo. I also really enjoyed its reading format - sometimes the smaller print books can bother the eyes!

Enjoy this fabulous book. I would also definitley recommend A New Beginning II.

Still awaiting the earthquakes

This book predicted earthquakes on the eastern and western coasts, and the south, and northwestern portions of the US in 1988. Of course, it could still happen...

I have trouble grabbing the big picture and wrapping my mind around the notion we "choose to return to our physical manifestations". I see handicapped, neglected, homeless people and I wonder if an entity actually chose this?

I recently listened to a recording of one of the Abraham channelings. It was interesting. What exactly does Jerry Hicks do?

Gerry did a good job in breaking it down for the Fellas. Writing in a language that most men can relate too may prove beneficial for some. However, I did get bored with the b-ball analogies. I turly felt there were just too many, but I did understand and agree with some of the points being made.

First of all, I have to say that it's refreshing to hear a man talk about how to physically please a woman in such detail, as a woman's sexuality is indeed complex on so many levels. It is obvious that the author took the time to know what he was talking about. I was impressed with the attention the author gives to a woman's emotional and spiritual needs as well. This book was definitely an easy read. I read both volumes in about 4 hours. My only question is, Does the key to a sucessful relationship really live in these books? I think this is just a piece of the puzzle. The author tailors the language for men with layers of sports analogies and "game time" advice which gets the point across but a little tiring at times. Especially when most women automatically assume that a man is running game and therefore insincere. In volume II, he offers pretty much anything you need to know about making your sex life as exciting as it can be...Now, that's what I'm talking about. Something is missing, though. As we evolve as couples and individuals, there are many factors that come into play which definitely affect our intimate relationships. For example: careers, physical changes (especially women), children, ambition...you see where I'm going. I don't think men really understand the changes women experience throughout life and how profound they are. Take a woman in her 30s. A high percentage are career professionals, mothers, etc. Myself included in this category. We aren't supposed to be freaky and hot but here's a newsflash. We are freakier and hotter that ever! There are a lot of men that don't take advantage of it. Take note gentlemen, there is nothing like a woman in her thirties! All in all, you can see that Straight Talk has definitely been thought provoking for me. It's just another piece to the puzzle of continued growth. Thank you for your perspective Mr. Wright.

This book should be required reading for every young man...would be a great gift of love to give from a caring brother..or a caring girlfriend. Striaght Talk is a delightful read....bought it as a gift for a young friend and read it cover to cover myself!!! In straight, honest, and amusing style the author unveils things about love and loving that every man should know...and every woman would benefit to read too. I loved the down to earth messages conveyed frankly and without preaching. This book reaches out to the younger crowd in its language and style but the information would be invaluable to couples of any age. Great book...loved it!!!!!

Finally!!! No psycho babble, just plain old english!!!!

Straight Talk Volumes 1&2 is not for just a man or a woman. It is a brilliantly articulated account of the couple who wants to advance to the most fulfilling relationship imaginable. It should be must reading for young adults who begin to search for lasting love and for any one who has felt like they have failed at love. It is also not for the faint of heart man who is too scared to travel to the depths of his soul to find out that pleasing his woman leads to pleasing himself! It is in language that anyone will understand and goes straight to the core of truth seldom acknowledged by men. It is captivating and sets Cupid free with some new arrows!

"Straight Talk" is one of the best relationship books I've read in quite a while. Gerry's writing style is both contemporary and to the point, which makes the 2 volume set an enjoyable read. I'll have to admit, initially I was very skeptical based on the plethora of "relationship" books currently on the market. But after reading a few chapters I was locked in. My relationship with my wife has already begun to benefit as a result of the insight I received. Straight Talk is a must read, especially for those guys that want to move the sexual aspect of their relationship into the "turbo lane".

An important chapter in the history of Magneto

Review Date: 2005-11-23
This story is quite different form most other X-Men collections in that most of its chapters are only loosely inter-related, and by far the main character is Magneto as opposed to the heroes themselves. This tale had been brewing in the X-Men and related books for quite some time, and mainly picks up the saga of Magneto, their greatest rival, following the events in (New) X-Men #s1-3 (collected in X-Men: Mutant Genesis), which is considered by many to be one of the greatest X-Men stories of all time (art and writing both).

The story is choppy due its determined effort to keep the focus on the leading characters of the titles in which each chapter first appeared in terms of their reaction to the latest (with many more to follow) resurrection of Magneto. Before Magneto make is return public, the Acolytes, mutants who follow (the memory of) Magneto with religious zeal battle X-Factor following their horrific slaughter of hospital patients, and make a failed attempt to draft his son, Quicksilver. The self-styled mutant messiah has developed a god-complex, and seeks to save the uninfected and those he see as worthy mutants from the ravages of the legacy virus unleashed by Stryfe at the end of the X-Cutioners Song story-line. To do this, he has salvaged the Celestial starship that once house Apocalypse, X-Factor and more recently Cable, a sort of improved Asteroid M. A new group of Acolytes is gathered around him, Fabian Cortez's treachery is revealed, and the mysterious and powerful Exodus serves as his herald.

Magneto goes about his quest as self appointed savior of mutant kind and as expected butt heads with the X-Men and all related parties. Several X-Men suffer tremendously at his hands, but in the end Xavier is forced to make a rash decision that will have dire repercussions in the days to come.

Up sides: Magneto took Xavier's role as headmaster of the school for a time, when he had reformed, and mentored the New Mutants. His confrontation with X-Force addresses this major and mostly forgotten piece of X-Men history, as well as addressing the relationship between Cable and the ship that was once his that Magneto claimed for his own. Later, when Magneto crashes Illyana's funeral at the Xavier estate, a long time X-Man and fan favorite turns his back on the X-Men and joins Magneto.

Down sides: The action involving Magneto directly is muted and extremely brief. The effort to bring in every X-Men related title of the day was pretty hit-or-miss; some stories were just brilliant while others seemed forced efforts, at best. Yet the only real problem I have with Fatal Attractions is how Wolverine was tampered with unnecessarily. What he suffered at the hands of Magneto was brutal and innovative (although when it happened I was not too pleased with the tampering in the essential fabric of one of the major X-Men characters) it was just a rehashing of the worn-out thread of making him more savage and blah blah... I think this was about the third or fourth time his humanity was diminished in as many years, and had run its course as an interesting characterization ploy. From a distance and in the context of this collection alone, it's not so bad, but in the overall scheme it's just beating a dead horse. "Its time of year again, Wolverine needs to be more savage!"

Overall, this is a great story, and fans of Magneto will greatly appreciate it, while fans of Wolverine might enjoy it less so. However, it is by far not one of the best X-Men stories out there, and those who are new-commers or not hard core fans will be a little lost as it draws from and bridges several other stories that for the most part do not show up in other collected editions, rather than being self-contained.

X-men fatal attractions was a wonderful book and I liked it a lot, Marvel does a wonderful job in bringing out the action in this book and keeping me at the edge of my seat. This book puts an interesting perspective on being normal; it makes you think "what does normal really mean?" and if it's something you want to be. If you're into X-men books then this is the perfect book for you. But my favorite part of the book is the artwork. I don't know how the illustrator does it but the artwork is just amazing to look at. I would give this book a four out of five. This book begins with the son of magneto, Quicksilver, joining the X -men in a battle against his father's follower's the Acolytes. Quicksilver doesn't want to believe in the dream that his father laid down for him but then something happens so unexpected that I'm going to make you finish the book now (lots of Laughs) hehehehehehehehehe.fi

Fatal Attractions collects X-Factor #92, X-Force #25, Uncanny X-Men #304, X-Men #25, Wolverine #75, and Excalibur #71. When Magneto returns to his Acolytes and becomes more of a threat to humanity than ever before, all of the X-teams become engaged in battle in this then shocking cross over; the effects of which were felt in the X-books for almost a decade. Many memorable moments are to be found here including the fight between Magneto and Cable which leaves Cable a bloody, ripped apart mess, Colossus betraying the X-Men and siding with Magneto, Magneto ripping the adamantium out of Wolverine's body, and the final showdown between Magneto and Professor X; the culmination of which would create the Onslaught storyline years later which crossed through every Marvel title and caused the deaths of the Avengers, Captain America, Iron Man, the Fantastic Four, and countless other heroes. If your interested in picking this collection up, I'd go for the single issues (each of which had really cool covers with an attached hologram card) instead of this TPB. All in all, this is one of the most dramatic X-stories in years, and undoubtadly one of the best.

I can still remember the shock and amazement on my face nearly ten years ago when this storyline appeared in the X-titles. Here we see the return of Magneto, the greatest enemy of the X-Men, ready to bring his plan of mutant domination to a head. Dramatic moments are aplenty here, most of which would effect all the X-titles until the end of the decade. The scenes of seeing Magneto using his power to rip the adamantium out of Wolverine's body still gives me chills, not to mention the unforgettable final battle between Professor X and Magneto, the culmination of which would later go on in the "Onslaught" storyline that would cross through nearly every Marvel Comics title and cause the death of Avengers and Fantastic Four. All in all, "Fatal Attractions" may not be the best X-Men TPB to get, but it is very dramatic and completely unforgetable.
