Having read numerous books and articles on LoA - I have to say that this book is inspired!

If you've ever felt like things just aren't happening - and are tired of reading the same thing - then this is definitely the book for you.
Jonathan has packed it full of tips and techniques that will have you regularly putting the book down to try out. So many others focus on theory, which doesn't really shift our thinking, (once it's read, it's forgotten).
But with Jonathan's book, you get the nuts and bolts of MAKING THINGS HAPPEN. Effortless, lasting change comes about because the exercises and visualizations are so quick and easy. The new mindshifts rapidly sink in at a sub conscious level and trigger changes to start immediately happening on the outside.

Without doubt, one of the very best Law of Attraction Books out there.

This book was ok, but not worth $19.95! I got a lot more from the book The Law of Attraction by Esther and Jerry Hicks.

If you are tired of reading fluffy (law of attraction book)s and want some step-by-step things you can do in order to bring about real change in your life, get this book. It's a quick read and written in a way that is easy to understand so you can start implementing it today. I've also had consultations with Jonathan and he is a great law of attraction coach.

This book was outstanding! Not only did I have trouble putting the book down, but I learned so much. Jenna's writing style is magnificent. Because of the level of detail that she included in her beautifully-crafted sentences, I was able to totally be in the moment with her and truly experience the myriad of feelings and sensations. So even though I do not think I meet the criteria for being highly sensitive, I thoroughly get it and could relate to it. I am grateful that she shared her journey with us because I know it will be so helpful and validating to many. I have already recommended the book to quite a few of my own patients. I only wish the book continued so I could witness how she evolved past her teenage years...I hope she is writing Volume 2!

In this book Jenna Forrest gives us insight about her life and how growing up sensitive was for her.
Through this book I re-lived my childhood years; years of living in homes that I never thought to be mine, growing up as a kid from a broken home and divorced parents, living like a ping-pong ball from one house to the other.
This book is powerful because it confronts us with our past and makes us talk about those things and feelings we never talked about because in those times, we simply accepted our lives as they were, thinking that life was supposed to be that way.
Jenna in this book makes us go back into our past and unwind all of those moments of conflict within ourselves and empowers us to face them, discuss them and even cry what we never did. The result is a sense of forgiveness of compassion for that child we were and a great sense of responsibility for our family and our children.
If you still have unresolved issues in your life, this is a book that will help you understand the path that many of us have walked so far, and will help you understand that help is no longer "on its way", but help is here now.

A must read for parents and educators

Jenna Forrest takes the reader on her private journey into the life of a child lost in the mire of family dysfunction and the confusion that those of us who are sensitives can relate to and understand as we try to fit into the world around us; Jenna shares her innermost feelings from a child's perspective as she realizes even though living in a dysfunctional family, help and hope are delivered in the form of real human angels who do appear for support and empowerment! This book is a must for anyone who feels overwhelmed by visual, tactile, intuitive, and auditory stimuli that is unavoidable in our busy world.Jenna guides us through her reality into a world of awakening to the fact that sensitives and intuitive people are blessed with a gift which is understood by such a minority; Thank you Jenna for your inspirational memoir!

Jenna Forrest shares a profound gift with us by allowing readers of her memoirs to peer into her soul. Her poetic prose amplifies the experience to the degree that we can feel the vinyl on the chairs and hear the scratch in LPs she describes in her journey through childhood. Her words give voice to our child's mind with authentic eloquence, beauty, humor, sadness, fear, and hope.

If you are sensitive person, the parent of a child who is highly sensitive, or in relationship with a sensitive person, then you should read this book for its many, many insights and honest reflection. The reading is not always easy because a child's truth, so well expressed in this book, tells us all how much help the world and the people around us need.

The Genius of THE VISION BOARD

As an educator, writer, lover, artist & social activist, I truly appreciated the genius of The Vision Board: The Secret to an Extraordinary Life (Harper Collins, 2008) by Joyce Schwarz. What is most telling about my experience with the book is how successful it was in my classroom. I took what I learned from The Vision Board and incorporated it into a lesson for a graduate school course that I taught earlier this November. The result was eye-opening: not only did my class of graduate students make their own vision boards and intelligently discuss them, but one of my colleagues went on to teach a lesson on vision boards in her own high school classroom. The theory behind The Vision Board is simple yet brilliant: if you can actually see your goals, dreams, aspirations, visions, manifested through images and words right before your own eyes then you will be more likely to achieve them. Joyce Schwarz presents the magic behind vision boards in a dynamic and inspiring way--I was left with a renewed sense of hope for my future and an eagerness to see my aspirations manifested in my own vision board. I promptly created a poster-sized vision board that revealed desires I had scarcely admitted to myself. When my vision board was complete I saw that I had constructed a vision filled with love, health, poetry, art, nature, spirituality, community, optimism, creativity, ambition, color, wealth, and compassion. I realized that the vision statement carpe diem (seize the day) succinctly embodied the way I want to live my life. If I were a marketer for The Vision Board, I would certainly market the book to other educators; the book is a perfect resource for both higher education and primary school.

This colorful book will inspire you to vision your ideal life!

This book is beautiful. I was really impressed at the quality of the vision boards included in the book. And, the stories behind the boards are truly inspiring. Joyce Schwarz did an excellent job guiding readers to create their own boards. The chapters offer all kinds of insight and tips into how to create your perfect life by pulling together a few images.

The Vision Board will make a great holiday gift for anyone who wishes to be inspired.

The Vision Board book is exactly the inspiration that I needed as well as the direction for focus to help me begin the next chapter in my life. The art work is simple and complex-beautiful and stimulating. I could see so many things in each board that inspire me to set my own goals and set my dreams on paper and connect with them.
My favorite boards are on page 157 and 145- so different but both so filled with Love and Hope- I would love to know more about each artist.
The affirmation statements are so basic but key to personal success. I had never seen them before and like so much of this book, I found them to be an extremely simple, direct, and powerful guide to focus on changing my negative feelings to positive change.
A great gift for any age- I plan on doing a vision board with each of my children, what a great way for them to express who they are, who they want to become and what they want in their life.
I think even though I am not an artist- I can create something to represent the beauty of my life- that is amazing to me.
I thank all the artists that contributed to the book for sharing their boards- you are all an inspiration!

The Vision Board: The Secret to an Extraordinary Life is an apt title for this book.

The Vision Board is a book to help people in all aspects of their lives with exercises and education about the use of visioning and an area in the back of the book for taking notes about the exercises and anything else you've learned or noticed along the way in this guidebook.

A step-by-step guidebook on how the use of visioning, and vision boards can lead you through the law of attraction can help you reach your goals and achieving what you desire for yourself in the process. Vision boarding is much like the "Power of Intention" by Dr. Wayne Dyer. The difference is that this book will guide you through the process with simple but effective means to help you achieve your goals with exercises and anecdotes about celebrities that have achieved their goals using vision boarding techniques.

Vision Board shows how to create and use the technique of boarding in your life to attract what you desire. This will work in all aspects of your life from personal to relationships, to wealth and well-being.
Joyce has written a wonderful book that can lead you to the kind of life you desire, and helping you find out what your true desire really is. Through the art of visioning, you can attain it.

I was fortunate to learn early in life the simple power of writing down what I wanted in life. The act of putting to paper the desires of my heart always seemed to prepare me to receive. In "The Vision Board" Joyce Schwarz takes this concept a quantum leap forward to a more profound and powerful level. And, while I gained insights and inspiration from the many featured examples I keep coming back again and again to Jennifer Haught's image on page 157. I am sure all will find inspiration there.

Many people are mentioning that this book is about wealth in all its forms, not just money, which is true. For me, it stood out from the other books on the subject for the following reason: It discusses the positive character trait(s) that may be behind the desire for achieving more than we have. In other words, if we want something more than what we have at the moment, what positive characteristics would we have to develop within ourselves to get it and maintain it? Confidence in the face of authority? A higher knowledge about the world or about business? Being more savvy about other cultures? It isn't always "greed" that causes people to push for more. Underneath the obvious goals of world travel or being a multi-business owner, what desirable personal characteristics would we develop by gaining those higher desires? It's the potential positive personal characteristics that we'll gain that we might want to take a closer look at, and work towards developing those. Overall, it was funny, had a great conversational style, and found ways to explain and describe some of the new truths coming out about finances and wealth in a fresh way. It also offered an actual system that can be followed, very helpful. We read it aloud in a group, and enjoyed it a lot.

Gratitude and Compassion

Review Date: 2008-07-20
Mark T. Rafter states on the very first page of the introduction that a manifesto has three steps: Intention, Declaration, and Action. The Wealth Manifesto: Transforming Your Life from Survive to Thrive leads by example. Within each chapter there is an Intention that introduces each of the 14 Articles, a Declaration of the article itself, and a call to Action where you are guided through specific steps toward achieving the declaration.

This is heady stuff, and yet not patronizing or condescending in any way. Mr. Rafter shares his own journey through the various pages, letting you know where he faltered along the way. Learning wealth is not an overnight process, nor is it a simple practice of the imagination. The free downloadable companion workbook is an important complement to the book.

From reading this book, I am reminded that gratitude and compassion go a long way toward transforming my life from one of merely surviving from one paycheck to the next, to a life of thriving because I am wealthy in so many non-financial ways. This gratitude and compassion can unblock energy that, with proper attention, can then generate and grow financial wealth.

Blueprint for Wealth Creation

Review Date: 2008-07-14
How do you define wealth? Do you even know, or do you just assume it has something to do with how much money you've managed to accumulate? According to Mark T. Rafter, money is only part of the wealth equation, and The Wealth Manifesto shows you what makes up the missing pieces.

This book, along with the downloadable companion workbook, helps you define a lifestyle that will ultimately make you wealthy, through a series of thought-provoking exercises. The first section looks at the path to wealth - how you define wealth and what you need to make you happy. The second section invites you to determine your own value and competencies, as you offer your services to the world. And the third section explores the accumulation of wealth through the concept of building systems.

If you've ever read The Science of Getting Rich, you may have felt the author left out a key element of how to get rich. Focusing on metaphysical elements has its place, and it certainly helps us to stay on course as we plan our future. The Wealth Manifesto explores those metaphysical concepts and takes them a step further, explaining exactly how to create systems that can generate wealth for us long into the future.

Creating wealth can feel like an insurmountable task, but Mark T. Rafter makes it seem simple and effortless. Follow the directions as laid out, and you'll be inspired to take action and become wealthy yourself. I highly recommend this well-written and motivational book.

A geographic arrangement aids in the journey, with chapters offering addresses, hours, directions, web sites, and long paragraphs of enticing description. Having recently moved out of NYC after a LONG time living there, reading this book makes me want to move back right now! I wish I knew about all these cool places while I was living close by.
This book highlights a lot of little-known and interesting places all over the city that are easily accessible on public transportation. The wide range of places means that anyone can find something of interest. It is organized by location, so the visitor can plan on doing several things with one trip and gives great directions on how to get there and what to expect. A little bit of the history of each place rounds out the vivid descriptions, so I felt like I was actually visiting the places just by reading. What a great and out of the ordinary guide-book!

Indeed, this travel book is truly unique. Blending fascinating information with humor, mild expletives, and Yiddish phrases, Ms. Reisman creates a relaxed writing style that is as appealing as the colorful cover is eye-catching. The perspective traveler wants to peruse the book from cover to cover as if it were a novel, and not just a catalog of destinations, in order to discover what she has to say. The reader is simultaneously enlightened and entertained. Whoever dreamed that guidebooks could be so much fun?!

Plus, each attraction's description is not only digestable, but filled with a great traveler's context, unlike some Lonely Planet versions where you never really get the context of WHY something is fun to visit!

"Living an Extraordinary Life" was written to help you find happiness and fulfillment within your life. It is written around a framework of three concepts that need to be worked on in order for us to achieve our goals. These concepts are: Awareness, Responsibility and Communication. White teaches you how to apply these concepts into your life so that you can find your true purpose and achieve your goals. White uses eye catching chapter titles, lists of the differences between ordinary people and extraordinary
people, and meaningful quotes to get you thinking about what is coming in the chapter. White also points out behaviors and thought patterns that we tend to have that keep us just "ordinary" and not very happy. He discusses what extraordinary people do to keep themselves at that higher level. A lot has to do with how we deal with a situation. An extraordinary person can be going through a rough time, like us, but how they process what they are going through tends to be very different from what we are processing.

Everything that he writes makes so much sense. This is the type of book that will take you some time to read. It is also a good to time to be journaling what you are thinking and feeling. I know that this book has changed my life. It is up to me to continue to
work on what I need to, so that I stay at this higher level.

"Living an Extraordinary Life" is a keeper, do not let this book out of your hands. You will want to read it again at many points in your life. If you want a friend to read it, which you will, buy them a copy and hold on to yours!

Don't let the size of the book fool you. When I first received my copy I was thinking that it looked a little small, but once I started reading it I realized that Masha had chosen her words carefully and this is a very complete book and not one filled with a lot of fluff.

People at any level of success can easily go through the various exercises. It takes only a minute to read through each section, but you should spend some time doing the action steps at the end of each chapter to really maximize your chances to succeed.

Overall a very easy read, with a great message throughout.

Honestly I was a little skeptical when I first heard the title, even though I knew that Masha had overcome extraordinary difficulties beginning when she was exiled from her country at the age of 17. But "One Minute" Coach? -- I had my doubts.

After I read the book, I realized that it leads you kindly but firmly through a series of one-minute shifts that WILL change your life.

All without lectures, without aggressive "motivational" attitude, and without assigning you overwhelming exercises and endless homework.

In other words: you can DO this.

If you're open to having success be simple, "The One-Minute Coach" makes a great guide and companion.

Change Your Life in a Minute - You Really Can Do It

Review Date: 2008-11-10
We all have very busy lives and we know how hard it is to work anything else into our schedule. I sympathize with the lack of time. However, can you find a couple of minutes in your day? Some people will find time at breakfast, on the train to work, in the restroom or some other place. The location doesn't matter - the important thing is to find a few minutes.

This book is set up in a layout that I've really come to appreciate. Masha gave you a series of short points and then action steps to help you actually move forward and to make a difference in your life. Each chapter contains a series of these points.

There are over 50 points and over 50 action steps in this book - so literally, there is something for everyone. She discusses the topics listed below.

* Freedom to be Who You Are.
* The Secrets of People Who Are Successful.
* Why Do We Suffer?
* The Secret to a Great Life.
* Are You a Natural Leader?
* Time Management and Decision Making.
* The Best Source of Wealth.
* Is It Ever Too late?

To give you some examples of the talking points in the book, I'll share some of my favorite sections.

Freedom to be who you are - "Don't say if I could I would. Say instead, If I can, I will." - Jim Rohn.

The Secrets of people who are successful - "Successful people make a habit of doing what the failing person doesn't like to do." - Thomas Edison .

The most important ingredient to your success - "Calm self confidence is as far from conceit as the desire to earn a decent living is remote from greed." - Channing Pollock.

Are you guilty? - "Lack of forgiveness causes almost all of our self-sabotaging behavior." - Mark Victor Hansen.

How much do you love yourself? - Let's talk about LOVE. More specifically, I would like to focus
on self love. Why? Because you cannot give more than you have - in order to give and receive love, you have to first love yourself.

Using words with good purpose. - Did you know that you can positively transform your environment just by changing the words that you use?

Personal satisfaction at work - "We can change our lives. We can do, have and be exactly what we wish." - Anthony Robbins.

How much do you rely on logic? Do you make your decisions using mainly your logic or your intuition?

Produce the results you are looking for - "The definition of insanity is doing the same things over and over again and expecting different results." - Albert Einstein.

What did you miss out on today? "If a man empties his purse into his head, no man can take it away from him. An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest." Benjamin Franklin.

The power of questions - "The quality of our lives is closely related to the quality of our questions." - Michael Angier.

Ask and you will receive - "Quality questions create a quality life. Successful people ask better questions and as a result, the get better answers." Anthony Robbins.

Excellence is not an act, but a habit - "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit." Aristotle.

Can one person change the world? - "You are where you are and what you are because of what you believe yourself to be. Change your beliefs and you change your reality." Brian Tracy,

Each of these headings and sayings begin a two page section of the book. There is one page that gives an in depth explanation of the saying on the left page. On the right page, you see "action steps". These action steps are included to help you see how to apply these principles in your life. It is very possible to change your life to make it better and you can change your life, once
minute at a time.

I highly recommend this great book. It is only about 130 pages, but it is packed with so many great thoughts and recommendations about how to get your life on track and how to excel. Like Brian Tracy said - we are each responsible for where we are in our lives and that means that we are the ones who have to put forth the effort to make a change.

In this day and time, there are many people who are facing trying times, but it is amazing how we can change our reality and our future by applying the points Masha Malka gives us in this power packed book. Newscasters keep telling us that we are in the worst financial situation in over 70 years, unemployment is soaring and the future looks very unsure - but if we make the most of our life, that is a great step in the right direction. Let Masha Malka show you how to start on the path to a more happy and successful life - one minute at a time.

Great Common Sense Advice on Life Success

Recently I had the opportunity to read a great little book, The One Minute Coach, by Masha Malka. Masha is a young woman, but she is wise beyond her years. This is a book worth reading if you are interested in becoming a success in your life and career.

I love the way The One Minute Coach is organized. Masha has provided bits of wisdom in a great format. Each chapter is two pages. The first is a discussion of the topic with a related quote. The second page is devoted to action steps. In other words, if you spend a minute a day with this book, you can find some great success advice - and common sense I might add.

Here is an excerpt from the last chapter.

"Make the most of yourself; for that is all there is of you." Ralph Waldo Emerson

"What is the most important job that you do? I believe that the most important job you do is the one that is unheard and unseen. The most important job you do happens within.

"It is the journey to be becoming the best you can be. It is becoming the kind of person who attracts all that you want in life. The most important job you do, is getting to know yourself - who you are, and what you want to had, to do and be in this life.

"You become the best you can be by taking your time to be with yourself, to understand your wants and needs, to understand and honor your uniqueness.

"You do it by realizing that you are in control of your life and your future and by taking consistent actions to create that future - taking full responsibility rather than blaming circumstances.

"Action Steps:

"Before you move on to the next page, before you close this book and
immerse yourself into your day-to-day tasks, please take you calendar and schedule a date with yourself. It doesn't matter if you schedule a full day or just 20 minutes. As long as you know that this time is just for you - to do what you want, to think about what you want, to just be. It is the time to honor yourself as someone important enough to be with.

"Make an ongoing date, a time or day you can look forward to.

"Be patient, be good to yourself, and enjoy the journey!"

Every chapter is organized this way. That's why I think The One Minute Coach is a great book. It's the kind of book you can carry with you to read in spare moments.

Check it out, I think you'll find it helpful, easy to read - and full of good common sense advice on becoming a career and life success.

This is an excellent "how to" coaching guide for people who are wondering what the heck all this Law of Attraction buzz is all about, and how to get it working for you. I noticed one other reviewer considered it somewhat redundant (there ARE plenty of authors and coaches emerging these day), but I've read a bunch of them and found author Murasso's style and unique slant refreshing and easily accessible. I read it in one long sitting, even with several stops to ponder and assimilate some of the light bulb gems he offered. If you are a novice, I would highly recommend Born to Manifest as a textbook for fashioning your own LOA regimen.

Good job, Tom Murasso!

If you are interested in the Law of Attraction, Creative Visualization, New Thought, Unity, Religious Science, Abraham-Hicks, Carole Dore or Rev. Ike, I think you will want to read and re-read this extremely well-written book. It is different from other New Thought books in that it not only has new techniques to apply, but it also explains in very clear English WHY we aren't getting what we are visualizing. The author explains why affirmations don't work - and gives a work-around to use - another technique to create your treatment (he doesn't call it that). This is a book to read, re-read and keep re-reading. The tone is friendly, not preachy or condescending. This book is too good to fall by the wayside like so many New Thought/New Age books. IMO, it is destined to be a New Thought classic.

If you've read others, don't bother

I have been a Christian for many years and student of the laws of the mind for the last 8 or so. Im all of my readings, this book, by far, has been the most clear, concise, and complete presentation of the Law of the Universe that i have ever read. 100 or pages of pure power packed truth that is easy to read and understand whether you are just starting this path or have been on it for many years. Whether you believe in Jesus or not, whether you believe in the laws of the mind or not, this IS the way the world works. This book is a must read for the entire world. We are all putting these truths into effect every day consciously or unconsciously. If you dont read another book this year, read this one.

I used to think that success was all about having a lot of money, having a big house, and wearing diamond studded underwear. Sure, there is nothing wrong with these things...except maybe the diamond studded underwear, that is just wrong on too many levels...but to me, success is not so much about externals as it is a deep inner feeling of knowing that you are doing something with your life that can make you feel good about who you are as a person.

I've mentioned in several other reviews how there was a time in my life where I felt like an abject failure...that I was a huge dissapointment to all of life. I'd look at my world and see nothing but despair and negativity and hopelessness. I really wanted to end my life at one time. But looking back on those days, I realize that I didn't want to die as much as I wanted all those thoughts I had about my life to die.

But how do we change our thoughts? How do we go from thinking that we are failures to thinking that we're successful? We change our thoughts about ourselves by changing the thoughts we have about ourselves. I'm sorry to be so simplistic. I'm sorry I don't have some "Wa-zoo" device I could sell to you like the Nega-vac 3000 that sucks away all your negative thoughts and feelings, but the bottom line is that if you want to start thinking and feeling good about your life, then you are going to have to start thinking and feeling good.

You see, we do play a role in our own lives. We do have a say as to what we are going to think about. If you woke up feeling kind of lousy this morning, I want you to do something. I want you to go back to bed. That's it. Put the covers back over you and get up again...but this time get up thinking a positive thought about yourself...this time get up feeling as though you have something to offer life because you do; YOU!

This book is a total Godsend. It is to be devoured. It is to be assimilated. When you read it you can just feel little skyrockets of joy going off in your mind. I'm not gonna kid you, it does take work to change your thoughts and it takes even more work to keep them changed but think about this, the moment you begin to change, the WHOLE UNIVERSE will change with you. It has to! There is no set reality! All reality is, is your ideas about it, anyway.

So you could be a totally boring, mouth breathing drone or you could actually become something wonderful...something beautiful...you could be like me! And I am wonderful! I am beautiful! I am rich! I am successful! But then again, so are you. The only difference is, is that you aren't thinking it...you aren't feeling it. You are a success now. You really are. Consider this your invitation to become even more successful!

I wish you well on your journey of Light.

Ernest Holmes at his best.

If you have never read Ernest Holmes before, this is a great book to start with. It is simple to read, yet it conveys Ernest Holmes' wisdoms at the core, and directly.

Ernest Holmes will tell you about the concept of Divine Mind, Spiritual Supply, Mental Laws, and why our thoughts create our experience.

The first time I read his concept of "Entering The Absolute", it really opened up a new way of thinking for me. He says that to enter the absolute means, be able to think independently of any existing circumstances or problems. Meaning, if you have any problem or situation which you wish to solve or get out from, the only way to get out from it is to spend your focus mainly on what you really want - which is the solution/answer. If you are poor, you have to think thoughts of wealth, abundance and success, to dwell on the "Infinite Supply" and never on the present circumstances. Many other authors have written about true stories where people have gotten themself out of their situation of lack, by daily thinking and feeling about what they truly desire.

I recently read that the author Anthony Robbins, many years ago when he was broke, he set such big 'impossible' goals for himself such as owning a huge castle to live in, a limosine, being a multi-millionaire and being the successful person he desired to be. And he mentally rehearsed each goal everyday, as if its already achieved, that within JUST ONE YEAR he achieved all of his goals above! The castle, the limo, the wealth and life he dwelled on everyday!

For those who are interested in this topic, you may want to read "As A Man Thinketh" by James Allen. However, I still think 'Creative Mind and Sucess' is the best. If you are interested in Ernest Holmes, I recommend his other books such as "This Thing Called YOU", "Love And Law", "The Essential Ernest Holmes".

Its kind of hard to believe that this book proceeded Ernest Holmes classic text "Science of Mind", but I am glad it did and would recommend this book prior to reading Science of Mind. This is truly the secret unlocked but with a powerful spiritual foundation. Bottom line we are each God, the Universe in expression, and that truth appears in our life according to consciousness (awareness) and I will say it again and again BELIEF. For those looking for a quick fix, put this book down and go out and find something else. While results may happen rather quickly this spiritual path is for those willing to commit themselves to a better life by expanding their consciousness and putting out to LIFE. Once I embraced and realized my relatonship to the One, a great sense of peace, poise, fearlessness and confidence starting expressing through me. I thought I had these before but the foundation was largely ego based. Many of the ideas and concepts I believed as a child have been revealed to me in this book, concepts, ideas, and truths of prosperity, abundance, peace, poise, health and that I can live in this world bu not be of it. I am by far not a religious zealot or fly by night "im spiritual" type. I use these ideas to better my life and they are expressing through me here and now. I am manifesting more prosperity and abundance in all forms like never before. I pull this book out as a part of my daily study when im feeling good and when I need a pick me up. Former Oaklund A's pitcher Barry Zito sings the book praises for helping him become a a star pitcher.

Ive read all of Ernest Holmes book, but this one has to be the best for those on a new path or wanting to study and practice these principles especially when you cant make it to a local churtch or study group. Science of Mind is the ultimate text, but the language is very rich , Creative Mind was written almost 100 years ago but is still very prevalent today. YOU CANT DO WRONG WITH STARTING HERE!

...this is the best book for understanding your role and your partner's role in a love, an employment, a friendship and a family relationship. know how the other person will react/ respond by knowing whether they are "the giver" or "the taker". find self discovery of one self. you will see where, why, and how you are networked with people in your own naturally born choices. psychologically understand yours and theirs weaknesses and strengths in your two way street relationship. understand compatibility of "opposites attract". why you are attracted to that special someone, understand how you are categorized at work, understand why you are "best friends" and see your immediate/ distant family in their characteristics and influence.

At first, I had a love hate relationship with this book. I sensed that everything in it was true, yet I wasn't ready to face it. Once I got past my denial, I began using it as a reference book for all of my relationships.

THE GIVERS & THE TAKERS in not just about boyfriend and girlfriend issues. The information is relevant for any relationship: mother/daughter, friends and co-workers. A great read.

When I'm troubled over relationship issues, I can usually find some insightful piece of wisdom that reminds me that I'm giving too much to someone. And, I learned that Takers exist because Givers focus more on other people than on themselves.

I'm a Giver and this book is terrific. Enlightening! It features a powerful tool that enabled me to see my apologetic personality and lifestyle of serving others way too much. Now I'm practicing receiving. I am encouraging people to give more to me. I hope there's a sequel.

I Didn't Know I Gave So Much!

I used to give too much to everyone: my teenaged kids, my husband, and my co-workers. I was a pushover for the Takers in my life. This book changed me. Reading it was a "Big Aha!" I now say "no" to others without feeling guilty. I walk different, talk different, and dress different, and I've stopped apologizing so much. Until I read THE GIVERS AND THE TAKERS, I was addicted to pleasing others and didn't know it. I actually thought I was assertive. After reading Evatt's and Feld's 30 Giver Traits, I saw my self-denying pattern clearly. Also, the authors say that "Since Givers expend more energy than they receive, they often eat to make up the loss." That was me, too. This book is not frivolous. It contains an original personality theory that is quite sophisticated.
