As we know, there 's a popular film showing in US named' The

Lizzie McGuire Movie'. Unluckly, I'm not in US, so I can't

watch the film.I've watch the preview and I like it very

much. This book is full of imagination, it's a bit similar to the

book' The Princess Dairies'. It's the best book for all the

girls who liked to dream(including me) ------being a famous pop

star, having all the clothes and food you want. I like the

ending best, because it is unexpected. I think that it will be

one of the favourtes of the girls who liked to dream !!!

Totally Awsome Book!

The Lizzie McGuire Movie by Susan Estelle Jansen is an awesome story about one girl that is to clumsy to do anything and then she goes on a trip to Rome and finds out otherwise.

Lizzie is just about to graduate from junior high and she messes up real bad! Her brother tape records it and sends it to Good Morning America. Then she goes on a class trip to Rome and she tells her best friend Gordo that they need to find adventures. Then Lizzie bumps into pop superstar Paolo and she does find adventures. He tells her that she looks just like Isabella the girl he sings with. He tells her his story and she agrees to help him. She becomes Isabella for a couple of days dodging her new principal while doing so. Gordo covers for her and gets himself in tuns of trouble. Read this wonderful story and find out what happens with Lizzie and her singing career and Gordo and Isabella.

The characters really jump out at you. Lizzie is so clumsy and she seems to always fall down. The characters were really believable and the story seemed to be real to me. This book is really hard to put down you always want to know what is going to happen to Lizzie and her friends. You have to pay attention very closely so you aren't lost or confused. The plot is so interesting and the ending will blow you away. I really believe any girl who reads this would want this to happen to them.

I loved this book. It is every teenagers dream. This is such an exciting book it really lets you feel like you are leaving the `dream'. I would recommend this book to teenage girls looking for a good read because they would enjoy it and keep it as one of there favorites. The book will be enjoyed by all whom read.So read this book and please with all means `enjoy'!!

Here is my updated version of my past reviewer as a 12-year-old reader:

I urge you to pick up a copy of this book! As well as four Lizzie quizzes about the TV show, it also has lots of quizzes about guys, school, clothes and friends.
Like
Who are you most like?
What's your crush really like?
Is he crushin' on you?
and much more! With this cool book you can find out loads more about yourself and it's perfect for sleepovers so you can find out more about your friends too and what they know about Lizzie McGuire. But watch out, the last Lizzie quiz (Ultimate Quiz) is REALLY hard! (I think the Lizzie quizzes are about the first and second season. I'm not sure, we have only had two seasons of LMcG over here and I managed to get the questions right.
UPDATE: The only thing wrong with this is that it doesn't go on for long enough! I mean, the quizzes are great, time after time, but I think there should be a 'sequel' or Lizzie McGuire MOVIE quiz book!

EVEN GREAT FOR NON-LIZZIE FANS (HOW CAN YOU BE ONE OF THEM?). THIS BOOK HAS SOME EXCEELENT QUIZZES, ESPECIALLY PERSONALITY QUIZZES. GREAT FOR ALL GIRLS, ESPECIALLY LIZZIE FANS AGED 8-14.

Although I wasn't born yet (at the time of the premier), I did in fact grow up seeing the program on syndication, during the early 60s'. Of course, I was one of billions who had a crush on Annette (Funicello). So when I saw the book at a Barnes & Noble store, I quickly purchased it!I must say, it really brought back memories. Not only were the photos great, the personal stories relating tothe mouseketeers (on a past to present experience) was just fantastic. I hope that, maybe, another book will be published in the near future.

My 5-year old daughter is just learning how to read, and this was the first book I bought her that she could read all the way through on her own. Step Into Reading Step One books have large print, repetition, and only a few words on every page--perfect for a child just in the beginning stages of reading. My daughter was so proud of herself after she read through this story (which, by the way, is very cute--and the illustrations are nice too).

My daughter says: "Piglet is small but he is a big friend."

The message of this book, which is that even if you're small you can do lots of things, will boost a child's confidence even if they can't read the book on their own.

Cute Book for Young Children - a review of "Piglet Feels Small"

Review Date: 2006-07-07
This little book has multiple personalities (in a good way!) On the one hand it has a very nice story about focusing on the positive instead of the negative. For example, at the beginning we find Piglet focusing on the fact that he isn't big enough to climb a tree like Pooh, or bounce high like Tigger. He can't even fly a kite like Christopher Robin.

This makes Piglet (and in turn any small child) sort of sad. Then Pooh tells him, "But look at all that you CAN do." [Book has underlining for 'can'; Amazon does not, so I've capitalized the word.]

Piglet then goes on to remember all of the wonderful things that he can do. He can pick berries, plant seeds, be a help to Rabbit ..., for example. Very nice all in all.

As a reader, on the other hand, it is not quite as good. There is dialog, which a lot of beginning readers have a hard time coping with, as well as some unusual vocabulary such as: bounce, berries, sticks, climb, shouts, sunny, follow-the-leader, always, extra, and mile.

But I don't want to sound too negative. Despite these linguistic hurdles, I think most children who are ready to read will be able to begin to 'read' this book themselves after some repetition. The key is that the story is engrossing, and the pictures extremely good at giving clues about what the words might be.

An example of text follows so you can judge for yourself about the level (from two consecutive pages):

"You can plant seeds,"
says Pooh.

Piglet is a big help
to Rabbit.

Four Stars. Artwork great; covers full page. Good engrossing story for preschoolers with theme of focusing on the positive not the negative. As a reader it's a little difficult. The book is also a little weird in that only the ending pages rhyme.

I OWN THE LIMITED FRENCH SIGNED & NUMBERED EDITION OF PIERRE LAMBERTS' BOOK "PINOCCHIO". IT COMES WITH A LUXURIOUS LEATHER COVER WITH DEBOSSED IMAGE OF PINOCCHIO'S HEAD ON THE FRONT AND AN ORIGINAL SIGNED AND NUMBERED LITHOGRAPH. EVERY TIME YOU PICK THIS BOOK UP YOU GET THAT UNEASY FEELING THAT YOU MAY DAMAGE IT. YOU FEEL THAT IT WASN'T MEANT TO BE HANDLED, JUST DISPLAYED IN A MUSEUM OR ART GALLERY. THAT'S HOW GOOD THIS BOOK IS. IT'S A DREAM COME TRUE AND AS CLOSE AS YOU CAN GET TO DISNEY MAGIC. HOW A PUBLISHER COULD RISK PRODUCING THIS KIND OF QUALITY BOOK IS BEYOND ME. LUCKY FOR US, PIERRE LAMBERT MANAGED TO GATHER ALL THE IMAGES FROM VARIOUS PRIVATE COLLECTORS AND FROM DISNEY ARCHIVES TO MAKE THIS BOOK HAPPEN. WELL DONE AND I HOPE THAT HE WILL MAKE ONE ON PETER PAN!

Pinocchio is widely accepted as being Disney's most 'complete' film from Disney's golden 30's and 40's era, and this book does it wonderful justice. Enormous and heavy, it contains superb quality images, many of which are fold-outs (like the fantastic background plate of Pinocchio's village seen in the film). There's even an imitation 'cell' at the beginning of the book with Jiminy Cricket. It's expensive but really is a thing to treasure - most of the large format pictures are frameable works of art in their own right. Text is kept to a minimum to leave room for hundreds of glossy pictures that really leave you in awe at the amazing level of art the Disney company had reached, even back there in the early forties. If you're a fan of the film's art and animation then look no futher -you must have this book - it's a beauty, just like the movie.

As a backyard railroader for the last 30 years, I had always wanted to find out more about Walt Disney's backyard, the "Carolwood Pacific". Now in "Walt Disney's Railroad Story", you can read about all of his interest in railroading, first building a miniature railroad in his backyard, and finally developing theme parks, complete with railroads. Author Broggie knew Walt personally, and covers all of the details of the many Disney railroads. This is one book that I could hardly put down until I had read it completely. I feel that this is a book that should be on the shelf of every backyard railroader and most Disney fans.

Also an excellent book on the history of DIsneyland

I consider myself an expert on Disneyland; I'm a former Imagineer and a collector of Disneyland information. Michael Broggie is not exaggerating his father's importance to the realization of Walt's dream. This book goes slightly beyond the sanitized "official" version that the Disney company promulgates and includes some stories and details that haven't been widely known. It's a beautiful coffee table book, complete and accurate (except for one or two nits someone like me might pick). I love it particularly for all the never-before published photos--you get so tired of seeing the same old approved shots when you collect Disneylandiana.

In case Amazon doesn't provide links, I would also recommend "Walt Disney Imagineering" by David Mumford, et.al. and "Inside Story" by the late Randy Bright. Both are "official," but just as authoritative as Broggie's.

The photographs are outstanding, the writing is wonderful, interesting, and easy to read, and the the stories, history, and facts are amazing.

Buy this book for yourself, and get an extra copy to give to someone who likes Disney - they'll be very thankful!

I have always loved the trains at Disneyland more than any other attraction. I always had dozens of questons about the trains that I wished I could get answers to. When I found out about this book I ordered it immediately. (My first experince with "one-click" ordering by the way, and WOW how easy!!) The book arrived on a Friday and I sat down to read it as soon as I got home from work. I could not put it down! I read straight through until 4am the next morning and finished it. It answered all the questions I ever had about the trains at Disneyland. It is a wonderful glimpse into the life of Walt Disney, and the group of incredibly talented people who worked for him. If you love trains, this book is a must. If you love Disneyland, this book is a must. If you could care less about trains and Disneyland, but you love a good story, this book is a must. Thank you Michael Broggie, for sharing this wonderful story.

I normally only read technical books. I picked this book up just to look at the pictures. Then I started to read the short articles within the chapters. I found them so fasinating that I found myself reading the main articles. My son asked my wife "what is Dad doing reading?". Walt Disney said that it all started with a mouse, but after reading this book you will realize that it all started with a train.

This large format book (it's pretty heavy)contains 12 full-color classic Carl Bark's stories of the adventures of Uncle Scrooge, printed on thick high quality paper. Includes biographical info on Bark's, plus background on the origin and development of each story provided by Bark's himself. Also includes some restored pages that were lost or deleted from original comics, a checklist of Bark's duck stories, and a never-before published Bark's "storybook" Uncle Scrooge adventure with great watercolor illustrations.

This is a fantastic book, covering Scrooge McDuck's life from his days in the Klondike to space travel and flying saucers. The book contains many of my favorite stories including "The Second Richest Duck" and "Land of the Pygmy Indians". There is extensive written material about and by Carl Barks giving much insight into the man behind the duck. Finally, there is a checklist of the comics in which Uncle Scrooge appeared from 1952 to 1988. All in all, this book is a "must-have" for any serious fan of Uncle Scrooge.

I am writing this within just a few days of one of the saddest days any comic book fan could imagine. Carl Barks has just passed on to that great Duckburg in the sky. This book is, without a doubt, the definitive tribute to a man whose genius is just now being recognized by many.

As you read these outstanding adventure stories - and that's what they are - you will come to know the technique of how this extraordinary man transcended the comic art into the realm of high fiction. Each story is written on two levels, sprinkled with humor and illustrated in such a realistic, yet exaggerated manner that allows the reader to identify strongly with the characters.

My personal favorite is "The Second Richest Duck." In this story, Scrooge, Donald and "the boys" have their true personalities come out with a richness found only in the best writings of major adventure authors and is the equal, at least, to the best Indiana Jones or James Bond story.

I read these stories to my son as he was growing up and promised him the book for his future children. My daughters now each have their own families and the stories are now read by me to my grandchildren. Truly, this tome is part of our family heritage.

I own the hardcover, coffee table edition with a signed, numbered print by Barks. I shall never part with the print, and will hand it down to my son in my estate.

Thank you Carl, for many hours of delicious reading pleasure and the exercise of my imagination. If I could rate this book an infinite number of stars, I would.

One of the best collections of comic art ever published, this superlative volume not only takes eleven of Carl Barks' best book-length Scrooge adventures, adds an original story and includes his own comments on each, but Peter Ledger's recoloring makes these stories look better than they ever have or ever will. The only flaw with the volume is that it will send you into a frenzy to read more about Scrooge...but thankfully, Gladstone Comics has all the stories still in print. Simply superb.

I have been looking for this book for my grand daughter for about a year. It's not in print anymore so the stores don't carry it. I finally went to Amazon.com, and there it was. Thanks for your help. She was delighted.

Walt Disney's 101 Dalmatians

101 Dalmatians is a very good book. Its about 15 puppies that get kidnapped by a cruel Cruella Di Vil. They are tooken to her mansion where there were a lot more dalmatians. They then go through a lot of trouble getting home. I think that any age of kids would like this book. I really like how Pongo and Perdita save there kids. I think that this book teaches kids that if they steal that bad things will happen.

Great adaption of the movie, beautifully illustrated!

Another movable masterpiece from Mr. Sabuda!

The House of Mouse finally meets a master movable book artist and the results are more dazzling than the Electric Parade along Main Street -- or even more spectacular than a synchronized fireworks display in the Orlando, Florida skies. What could have been a run-of-the-mill volume if executed by someone else, Robert Sabuda's latest masterpiece celebrates over 60 years of movie magic with paper, paint and a passion for cutting and folding. Instead of simply replicating the characters and making them move, Mr. Sabuda infuses them with his unique style and sense of humor. (See Pinocchio get cross-eyed as he watches his own nose grow longer! Gepetto would have been proud.) Julie Taymor (surprisingly with the blessings of the formula-bound Disney folks) impressed the critics and the crowds with "The Lion King" on Broadway. Now, Mr. Sabuda likewise has proven to our pop-up publishing planet that creativity and commerce need not be exclusive of each other. Bravo, Robert! (But where is Sebastian? I can't wait for the sequel. A is for Aladdin, B is for Belle, C is for Chip...) Adults will love this book both because it will remind them of the many characters with whom they grew up, and for the incredible science of Robert Sabuda's "paper engineering".Children will delight in the wonder of the "pop up". Not only do they love the recent and classic Disney characters, but thrill to know that they can identify the first letters of those characters' names!

Once you open this book, you will fall in love with the clever paper animations, which bring the characters to life almost as well as the movies do!! Some stretches and one or two obscure characters, but this is a must-have for any Disney collector or book lover!!

You would swear it is an animation!!

Hunchback of Notre Dame is one of my favorite Disney classics. This book is a must-have for Disney fans and those who loved the film. The pages have rarely seen actual artwork and production stills(pictures of scenes form the movie) and stunning artwork of medeavile Paris. From page to page there are artwork of the characters from the film and details on who animated them and you'll see concept art of the characters, backgrounds and actual storyboards. Some pages fold-out to reveal storyboards from certain scenes.

If you loved the Hunchback of Notre Dame or is a Disney fan, then I would recommend this book to you. You would definitly read this book again and again. The artwork is so stunningly gorgeous that you just can't look at it without your jaw dropping.

This book can be compared to others such as "The Art of The Lion King" or "Prince of Egypt: New Vision in Animation," which are both great to own. Even if you're not a fan of the movie, this book still overflows with beautiful artwork: concept sketches, background paintings (which are my personal favorite), production stills, and many other treats. It also talks a bit about the making of the film, including the animation department's trip to Paris.
Of course, this book is a must-have for Disney fans, but for those interested in animation in general, this is definetely worth getting.

This film is yes for kids but has a whole different story under the main one , its about what makes a monster and what makes a man. That yes one may look like a man but inside hes the monster where as quasi is a true man inside.

A great book for animation fans and art lovers

The focus of this book was certainly ART, as it provides stunning pictures of Mideval Paris from historical archive that Disney artists meticulously researched before finalizing the background scenery. We also get a glimpse of the profiling of the psychology of each character, and their interaction that drives the story. However, at this price, I wish that they had CD-ROM version that catered to the sophisticated fans of animation art who are very interested in all of the gory technical details.

A must for Disney worshippers

Like Rebello's previous "Art of" books (Lion King and Pocahontas), this one is a joy to look at, but it's missing one thing. I wish it had more about the characters' voices. Often the actor or actress who voices a character influences the visual development of that character. The animator may model the character after the actor, or he or she may take one particular gesture from the actor and incorporate it into the character (like Belle - she kept brushing that lock of hair away from her face because her voice, Paige O'Hara, did the same thing). So including some information about the voices behind the characters would provide even more insight for those of us clamoring to know about how an animated film is made. But even with this one flaw, the book is gorgeous, especially the production stills of the interior of Notre Dame. And the concept art is great - sometimes it's wildly different from what actually shows up on screen, so you get a look at the evolution process. Oh - don't skip the index. The illustrations of how animators let off steam are hysterical! My favorite - "Quasi and Harriet". So, if you're a fan of Disney animation, get this!
