Disney Books

I ordered this about 3 months ago and have yet to receive it. Don't believe the 2-3 week shipping estimate. At this rate, our kid will be reading T.S. Eliot before it arrives. They keep asking me to approve a delay in shipping. I've done this several times already, and fully expect to have to do it several times more.

Amazon should be honest about shipping times, and I don't feel that they have been with this product.

This book is good for kids.My little brother wants me to read it to him everynight before he goes to sleep.Trust me and buy this book.

A very insperational book! It doesn't have much to read, but the illustrations tell a thousand tales (sorry if that was cheezy.) As a student animator myself who would like to someday work at Pixar, it's nice to get a behind the scenes glimpse at the creative process behind their works. I would like to thank Pixar for making this book and also my girlfriend for getting it for me.

As an animator and one of the biggest Disney fans out there, this big has everything you want to know and need to know about how the Disney animation process is done. This book along with the Art of Disney and The Illusion of Life are a great combo together.

This book is a treasury of retellings of all of the silly symphony cartoons. It's full of many beautiful, full color pictures. In addition to the stories, the book also contains a little bit of history on the origin of the silly symphony cartoons, as well as a list of every single silly symphony ever made along with the release dates.

A great book for children or adults, and a wonderful find! The silly symphonies are truly precious little works of art. You will not be disappointed.

This is a really cute book, and a nice quality. There are 5 pages of story line, and 5 different pop up scenes, 3 of which have pull tabs to make the scene move.[...] I got it for my 2 year old niece who will probably love it.

In the first of the two stories in this book, "The Trouble with Tiggers," Tigger from "Winnie the Pooh and Tigger, Too," is trapped in a predicament. In his eagerness to get down from the high tree branch he is on, Tigger promises that he will never bounce again if only he can safely get down. Hearing this, Rabbit holds Tigger to his word and insists to everyone that Tigger is to always be held accountable to his promise. However, Tigger is no longer happy and his friends also are saddened by Tigger's prohibition of bouncing. Eventually, Rabbit admits that Tigger isn't the same and that although bouncing is annoying, he wants to have his friend be happy. Of course, Tigger then bounces and knocks Rabbit down, but invites Rabbit to bounce with him. The second little story in the book is from "Beauty and the Beast." Belle, having been locked away at the Beast's castle, is welcomed by Lumiere the candlestick and all the enchanted items in the kitchen. In making their greatest efforts to make Belle feel welcome and happy, a great meal is made for her. In the end, the hosts all modestly insist that their efforts were "nothing," Both of these stories show forgiveness and generosity are elemental to friendship. Kids will love the bright and cheerful illustrations from the Disney films.

It's from My favorite episode,The Twin Factor.It's where the Drs Possible go to Lake Middleton on a Marriage Retreat thing[Something my parents need to do] and leave Kim to her babysitting her twin brothers,or as she calls them Tweebs,Twin Dweebs xs 2. Anyway there is a big break-in at this Top Secret Lab and a Compitence Chip and SHego steals it.1 of the Chips is on Shego's head.When Kim climbs up to Drakken's lair he surprises her by putting the chip on her forehead and making her do as he says,Jim and Tim use the Phase Disrupter to break the spell.I love the scene where she hugs her twin brothers.

This is one of those books that will probably appeal to only the serious historian for it covers an extremely narrow compass. However, if your interest is in the Portuguese spice trade of 17th century India, this is your book.

Rarely have I seen a book that uses and documents primary sources better than 'Twilight of the Pepper Empire'. The author makes use of 400 year old shipping manifests to compile a month by month account of the Portuguese spice exports from the Malabar coast. Every fortress and trading post the Portuguese built is documented in a level of detail I would not have thought possible given the obscurity of the primary source material. Even the secondary sources, usually more readily available to the general public, are such that I have spent two unsuccessful years trying to locate personal copies. Simply stated, this book is a testament to what a serious historian can produce.

This is not 'Nathaniel's Nutmeg'. If you want a book to read by the fireplace this is not it. But as an historical text 'Twilight of the Pepper Empire' is top notch.

Keno Don Rosa has done it again! Just when you think he can't possible write a story better than his last one---he goes ahead and writes a new one that's 10X better than the last! This time it's "Forget It!"

Poor Scrooge, just when he thought good old #1 was safe at last, who should apear but that evil soccerous Magica De Spell, back again for another round of cat and mouse. This time though, she has brought with her an evil wand that casts an curse so dispecable that you'll just die....die from laughter that is...

Each time Uncle Scrooge hears his name spoken what ever he's told next is totaly erased from his memory, wouldn't be half as bad except that his nephew Donald got hit by the wand's blast to, and noe they can't talk to each other at all! Scrooge tells Donald to head for the door, Donald tells Scrooge to head for the stairs....Donald forgets what doors are and panics thinking he's trapped in a sealed up room, while Scrooge suddenly realizes that the floor has vanished and turned into a strange jaggard cliff heading down. In good old 313 Donald forgets how to steer, and when Scrooge yells "Hit the breaks!" ...of course we all know Donald's gonna forget what breaks are....but if crashing the car was bad, just wait till they get out of the mangled accident...."Donald can you stand up?"..."Scrooge are you sure you can walk?"....Oh what a tangled web we weave when struck down with a curse...but wait...what's this, the curse has backfired and now it's not 2 messed up confussed ducks, but 3! Magica can't remember what she is doing with this old dime she's holding or why she'd running from that old duck or who he even is...

No spoilers here, you're gonna have to read the story yourself to find out what happened.

Also included are some great Egmont stories from Europe and an old Barks classic.

I'm not satisfied with only 5 puny stars here---I'm giving this a great big number 10!
