Great fun for kids but not dress-up dolls
Helpful Votes: 4 out of 4 total.

These dolls are a lot like the kind of paper dolls we had when I was a kid! You pop them out and play with them. We have both this set and the Barbie magnetic set. This one is much better and the magnets seem to be stronger. When we bought the Barbie one I let my daughters pop out the Barbie's and their clothes with out my help. But some of the Barbie stuff tore when the girls popped them out, and one of the dolls arms tore off too. I was unhappy with it, but we used some tape and dealt with it. I was worried that this one would be the same, but the sheets of thin magnets are not as thin as the Barbie one and there are not as many small parts. I would warn kids about not having these things around electronics like with ALL magnetic toys. All and all this was really nice. BUT IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A PAPER DOLL DRESS UP LIKE THE BARBIE ONE THIS IS NOT LIKE THAT!!! More dolls ~ no dress up.
This toy is great for travel, it has it's own case and as long as you know that the child will not eat any pieces then they will have lots of fun playing with it in the back seat.

Trademark Disney

Lonely widow Grace Munson uses a little harmless subterfuge to force an acquaintance with the attractive and recently widowed Paul Kendos, but soon discovers Kendros to have an agenda of his own.

This is vintage Disney, she of the quintessential cosy mystery. Set typically in hard-drinking conservative 1960s east-coast suburbia, the threadbare plot is more than redeemed by Disney's skillful construction, sparingly doling out the clues between interludes of barbecues and bridge parties. She skillfully conveys the spirit of the era, and creates reader empathy with Grace Munson.

This comforting mystery can be read in an evening. Disney is an unjustly neglected crime writer, all her works shamefully out of print. For sheer consistency of quality and variety of plot, she is hard to beat.

The A-Z format was concise and easy to understand for children of this age group, while the top notch illustrative style of Doug Hart reinforced the visual learning of the alphabet. Children will enjoy the familiar Disney characters, parents will love the illustrations. A must for preschoolers!

My 14 month old daughter is absolutely crazy about this tape. The minute it comes on in the car her feet start moving and a big smile appears on her face. I think she imagines Bear and all his friends in the car with her. Traveling in the car is a breeze now. The songs are very catchy and not annoying for adults.

Fun, Faithful Adaptation of "Stanley" Story
Helpful Votes: 0 out of 0 total.
Review Date: 2007-12-21
"Gorilla Sleepover" is a great adaptation of the "Stanley" TV story by the same name, written by Robert David. The story is adapted by Laura Driscoll and illustrated by Alisa Klayman-Grodsky.

In this story, Stanley's friend Lester comes over for a sleepover. But he's nervous and doesn't feel comfortable sleeping away from home. The two use knowledge from "The Great Big Book of Everything" to help Lester feel more at home.

This book includes fun animal facts about gorillas and a mini-maze. The illustrations are excellent and readers will learn some really neat things, and an important lesson too. Highly recommended for all "Stanley" fans.
