This series is perfect for any little girl (especially ages 4-8). My daughter is age 5 and we have read the whole series!! It usually takes us about 4-5 nights of bedtime reading to complete one of these small chapter books. Would be great for a young girl to read on her own as well. These make a great gift! That's actually how we acquired our first one... now we are hooked!

The Runaway wolf cub is a great story for young kids. I t is guaranteed to teach them what could happen if they ran away and what dangers there are in the outside world. The book is about a young cub whose brothers and sisters leave him out of a game. The cub becomes angry and runs away. Little does he Know Sheer Khan has just returned and is on the hunt for food. Join the wolf cub in this epic adventure as he fights against jungle and strives to get back to his family. This is the greatest way to tell your kids to say close and be safe.

The sisters have plans for a weekend of fun and frivolity, but those dreams are quickly dashed when Sebastian has them in rehearsal for the Under The Sea Musical Gala, which is in two weeks. Owing to the tight schedule, there will be no free time, as it will be taken up with the rehearsals. Needless to say, there is great chafing between the sisters and tempers flare. Sebastian gets an invitation to the Dixieland Waters Jazz Festival, as is directed to go by King Triton. Aquata is ordered to lead the rehearsals, but she'd rather rehearse for a play instead, a play she wrote. However, Triton put the kibosh on that, wanting emphasis on the musical, so the sisters do double duty, learning both the music in the morning and the play at night. The double-duty schedule has them both tired and snappish, as now both artistic creations are suffering from the split efforts. Just when they are about to give up, Ariel hits on a plan to combine both the musical and the play as one. The book makes fun of itself, when the "Seven Sisters" all have names that start with "Z" and are not much different in character than the sisters themselves. Valuable lessons in working together and keeping an open mind come into play here, as well as the humor.

This book features the Winnie the Pooh characters getting ready for Christmas (e.g., Roo bakes cookies, Tigger collects pine cones) and opening presents on Christmas day. Both the left- and right-facing pages lift up (flaps) to reveal more pictures and text underneath, resulting in a three-page spread. One interesting feature is that some flaps open horizontally while others open vertically. There's not much of a story, and the under-flaps don't always relate to the covering page, but the toddler set probably won't notice. Bright, simple illustrations, and durable pages make this a winner.

This is one of the funniest children's books for Halloween I have read. The queen wants to win the prize at a Halloween party for scariest costume and when her tailors try to make her a costume, it's pretty hilarious. She gets mad and takes matters into her own hands, turning herself into the old apple lady. Somehow she convinces everyone at the party that she's the Queen and then everyone is afraid of Snow White's costume and she wins and the Queen is upset but wins a bunch of apples for winning the first prize in bobbing for apples game.
