This one was cute. I Prilla is she a fairy with the talent of blinking to the clumsies (humans) mainland and playing with child. This talent keeps the fairies alive because it keeps the belief of fairies alive. I wish there was a little more of her using her talent because I think it cute when she plays with the kids. It had a pretty good lesson at the end too.

I have a 4.5 year old and we bought the Prilla doll and gave her the book with the doll. It's a fun book to sit and read a chapter together and so she gets to "know" her doll and she becomes more real. We liked the book so much my daughter gave her friend a copy for Christmas too! It's not an easy reader book, but it's a book that makes sitting and reading together so much fun, these stories are really good!

This book is a great book for young kids-- it is very durable with sturdy pages and has a convenient plastic handle for them to carry it around with them. It also has a plastic clamp on the side to hold the book closed while carrying it, but very easy to operate for little hands. This is a great book for toddlers and preschool-aged children who enjoy Toy Story and it's characters Buzz Lightyear and Woody. My son loved this book and carried it around everywhere.

This book has been a favorite to bring along in the car, whether it is for long trips or even short ones. The children get to read about their favorite movie, instead of watching the whole movie! It's been great! And the handle means they can carry it, one less thing for me to carry!

I originally read about this book in a review from animation world network (www.awn.com) It is everything the review said. Great information about the start of the industry fighting for its rights. A great read if you are into animation history. All of the animation old masters are involved, and speaks of even though they were in competition, they all had the same goal.

As a Disney enthusiast, I have found one of the most delicate and hard-to-research periods in Disney history was the 1941 studio strike. Tom Sito fills this gap by providing a comprehensive narration. But more important to others, he provides a complete history of labor developments in the animation profession. I had no idea there had been so much turmoil! His account is very up-to-date, too, covering the most recent developments, like computer animation. This is a key reference tool for anyone seriously interested in the business of animation.

Mickey Mouse, Popeye, Bugs Bunny, Tom & Jerry, Mr. Magoo, Fred Flintstone, the Pink Panther and Bart Simpson, are the biggest stars in the business. But they couldn't make the slightest move or even open their mouths, without the help of the animation worker. Meaning no disrespect, I say worker and not artist, because that's what Tom Sito's book "Drawing The Line" is all about. The eternal labor struggle of men and women in the animation industry and their right to be recognized and treated as artists. Of course Hollywood is not the kind of town where that is ever likely to happen any time soon. And for all those that scoff and think that anyone who gets paid to simply draw for a living, let alone getting to work in Hollywood at all should be forever grateful. Well -you're about to have your eyes opened as you turn the pages of this well written and lovingly researched history, that dares to speak the truth and document it in precise detail. Through first-hand accounts of the animators that struck the studios, were fired and blacklisted, Sito has chronicled their plight and shown the effect it has had on working conditions today.
As an animator himself and a former declared labor cynic. Sito learned from personal experience why their really was a need to be unionized. So much so that he later went on to become an active president of the screen cartoonists local in Hollywood. Yes, animation was and still is a labor intensive assembly-line that even in this digital computer age, still relies on the artistic and professional skill's of it's of workers. It's a "must read" not just for anyone with the least interest in animation, Hollywood or social and labor studies, but for anyone who's keen to know just how their favorite cartoon characters came into being in the first place. Believe me, you'll never see them as just simple drawings ever again!

Yes, this is a history of union activity within the American animation industry, but don't think for a moment that it is a dry, dusty treatise on labor practises. Tom Sito has written a lively, anecdotal, funny, hugely entertaining and magnificently informative history of the animated cartoon -- where it came from, who was responsible, and how far it has come. At a time when legendary figures like Walt Disney tend to be Rushmoreized, Sito presents them as real, living and breathing people -- enormously talented, even brilliant, and sometimes conflicted, yes; but real. In the process he tells the stories of these cartoon creators that are often as funny and endearing as the cartoons themselves. This is not simply the story of animation, however. It is also the larger story of Hollywood and how its traumatic, sometimes even violent unionization efforts reflected what was going on everywhere in America.
Sito has written an important story with panache, wit, and a unique insider's perspective, and has created a book that everyone interested in classic Hollywood and the Golden Age of animation must have.

I bought this book expecting one of those 'Making of . . .' creations, but ended up being pretty disappointed. Don't get me wrong, this guide is very informative, amusing and candy for the eyes . . . but for children. Or, for adults with inner children. Seeing as I'm a cynical teenager, it didn't do much for me :)

This book is really cool and it gave me a lot of information on Finding Nemo that I didn't know about before.
But I did see a couple of errors in the book.
But the only errors were length and stuff like that....so it really doesn't matter that much.
Besides that the book gives you information on just about everyone in the movie and information on the type of fish that the characters are, like I never knew that Dory and Bubbles were related, let me tell you how:
Dory is a Regal Tang.
Bubbles is a Yellow Tang. cool huh....?
Anyway, its a good book to read when you're bored or while you're watching the movie.
This book is auesome.
sincerly,

I have been researching Finding Nemo for three months now and of all the stuff I might get besides two books ( including this one)and a CD, this is probably the most awesome. When I first read it, I knew everyting and I have read it five times. I have memorized this awesome book and I highly reccomend it for all those fans out there!(But none as dedicated as me.)Also, I reccomend Don't Invite A Shark to Dinner and Other Lessons from the Sea. It, too, is an awesome book and I have memorized that as well. Hi, Erin Wilser!!!

Finding Nemo is my favorite movie, and now I have a favorite book to match it! I especially like how even the moonfish and jellyfish get their own page full of information. The tank gang's bios were very interesting, as were overlooking of the dentist's office. Thank you Nemo!

Ok I purchased this cookbook for one recipe and that was the Green Bean recipe but ended up loving the entire cookbook. It is the same cookbook at the "Cooking With Mickey II" so don't but both of them, they are the same page per page, word for word. I found out the hard way.
You will find quite a few recipes from the Grand Floridian and if you have ever eaten there you know everything is excellent. Several of the restaurants they feature are no longer around like the ones from the Disney Village now deemed the Disney Market Place so you are able to recapture a taste that is no longer around.
Even King Stephens Banquet Hall has a few recipes and we all know that is now Cinderella's dining room now. It is a good book with tons of delicious and savory food. The deserts will make you go wild.
I would recommend this book for people who can't cook and people who can. They are all simple and easy to prepare. Most are made with simple ingredients you have readily available in your kitchen, so no running to the store for something weird or special.

I have often heard that Disney served up some of the best cuisine around. This book proves that it is true. This book has a wide variety of recipes anything from simple to complex, and american to a vast amount of ethnic dishes. Recipes are easy to follow, and turn out well. If you want to bring the taste of Disney home, or impress your family this is the way to go.

Although I have visited both Disney Theme areas on both sides of the country I have never eaten at the many restaurants, my food experience has been like many of us who just grabbed a quick hamburger and fries while on our way to the next ride. However, when I recieved this book as a gift I was pleasantly surprised. The recipes were easy to follow and came out tasting great. Now I only wish that I could go back the parks and the resorts to taste the food first hand, so I know what else I could make out of the book. Whomever gets this book I am sure they will enjoy it just as much as my family and I have.

Okay, so "gourmet" may be a bit of a stretch but `Mickey's Gourmet Cookbook" does hold some very, very good recipes, and it's a must for Disneyana collectors and fans of Disney period.
The over 350 recipes include beverages, breads, appetizers, salads, entrees, desserts and sauces. There's a Shogun dinner from EPCOT Center sparked with ginger and mustard sauces.
Chocaholics will relish the Chocolate Amaretto Mousse from the Disneyland Hotel. Apropos from Disney's Caribbean Resort are crunchy Caribbean Sand Bars filled with nuts and chocolate chips.
If your kids are picky eaters - try dishing up some Disney and see what happens.

I buy one of these every year for our Disney trips. Although we are Disney Vacation Club members and do not NEED all the information packed into this, it is a great keepsake for us. Every year I fill it out with all our plans and trip information. I save ticket stubs and such in it. From year to year I look back at past trips to help plan our upcoming trip. The thing I like best is there are maps of all the parks and from time to time things change or attractions open or close in the parks, and my family will have Passporters to look back on in years to come.
For people planning their first trip to Disneyworld this Passporter is loaded with helpful information. The Passporter and the latest copy of "Disneyworld With Kids" is all you need to plan a successful trip.
I did buy the regular version, not the "leather" edition last year and the information was all there, but the binder was harder to add things into than the 3-ring binder styling of the leather edition, so this year I did the leather version again. Mind you, the leather version is pricier and if you're not hanging on to it "forever" like we are, the regular edition is a great value and chuck full of all the same helpful information.

I loved this handy leather luxurious guide because it is choke full of information at my finger tips and an organizer in one. The leather three ring made it easy to keep my family organized before, during, and after our vacation. I am a scrapbooker (creator of family and friend photo albums) and honestly I don't always remember to write everything down while on vacation. Each day has its own envelope that you can put all types of items inside and there are spots all over the envelope to fill in what you did all day long. From where you went and did; to where you ate. I give this guide my two thumbs up for ease and convenience.

What a great purchase this was. I love to dip into this when we go read. When I ask my 36 mo old daughter "what do you want me to read?" I can only hope she says "rolie polie olie mommy" because I love to read this. I like the case it came in as well. It makes for a great keepsake or gift.

I bought this set for my 2 and a half year old girl. She loved it so much she actually slept with it the first night. We have read night after night the "original" Rolie Polie book and she has memorized entire pages. When I saw this set I knew she would love it. It is a perfect size for small hands, gives an insight into each of the characters she already was familiar with, and the carrying case makes it just perfect. You can't go wrong with this one!

This case filled with four books is so cute. One is about Olie, Zowie, Billy and Olie's dog Spot!! This set also comes with some very colorful sticker too!!! My son loves this collection. The books are very colorful! Each book has a cute little rhyming story about each of the characters. If you have an Olie fan out there this collection is a must have!

The book is very colorful but there isn't much of a plot line- then what do you expect from a 2 yr olds book right? I would say go for it its more of a picture book but the color quality is great for children. I purchased this for a little girl and she loves it to death. She's 3yrs old right now but still keeps reading or looking at the book. The box doesn't last long but its nice to get the entire set for this price.

This is a great little book with a creative twist to the usual counting books for toddlers. If you are a "foodie" or a lover of good food and cooking, this is a delightful way of teaching your children about cooking as well. Culinary terms are interspersed with cuisine and numbers to delight children and adults alike.

This book is absolutely delightful! Nate Wragg is truly an illustrator to "collect." Although children would enjoy the book as well, I'm giving it to a gourmet friend.

Gorgeous illustrations, wonderful vocabulary, great rhymes, counting, colors, cooking terms, French words--this is a fantastically creative book. Yes, I loved the movie, too, but this would stand alone even if the movie didn't exist. I used to live in Paris, and the illustrations remind me of something you'd find in a children's book in France. This is a great book, and I am so glad I bought it for my daughter. Seeing her eyes light up when you turn to the flambé page? Priceless!
A must for any ratatouille fan, francophile kid, future chef--anyone!

This is a picture book based on the movie Ratatouille. It is much better than most kids' movie books and would be enjoyable without the Ratatouille connection. Rats in the kitchen cook and cook using French cooking techniques and French food. It is quite well written in a fun rhyme with beautiful illustrations. I enjoy it and I think my students will too. The colors are bright and the illustrations are joyful as we learn how to cook French food, made more familiar by the recent cinematic hit.

We checked this book out from the Library after being introduced to it during storytime. My 2 1/2 year old loves it. He askes me to read it at least twice a day. It teaches counting forward to 8 and backward from 8-1.. It also teaches some simple French cooking turns, it rhymes, it has a glossery at the end that explains the cooking terms (which my son also likes to hear). It is just a great book, my 9 month old daughter likes to listen too it as well. As with any book, I recommend you try and find it from your local library and read to your children and see if they like it, if they do it would make a great birthday, rainy day or just special day award.

This book is full of child friendly information I was able to share with my kids before we went to DisneyWorld. They were so excited to ride the rides they were able to read about. It was also great to get their opinion after the ride to see if it went along with the author's. And it did! I highly recommend this as a supplement for a trip to Disney!

We just got back from a trip to Disney with our kids, ages 7, 5, and 1. We bought a copy of the book for both the 7 and 5 year old. My 7 year old especially enjoyed looking through the book and filling out the pages. They both got character autographs and the Epcot world showcase passport stamps. It is a very neat and detailed book - the only thing is that it is a pain to carry around an amusement park all day. It would not have been worth it if we didn't still have the stroller to stick the books in between character spottings. They need to make a folder with mini books that pull out for each park!
Love it (do I have to share with the kids?!)

I just love this book! The pictures, the "circle your ratings" for each ride, the scavenger hunts, the passport spaces, the stickers...you name it! Some say it is too heavy for carrying, and while we won't carry it around on a busy Magic Kingdom Day, we will certainly use it in the park on a slow strolling Epcot World Showcase day! This is the perfect book for pre trip planning, plus it will be great for waits (waiting for parades, fill in what we've seen that day) and for activity in the stroller while mom gets a chance to browse the shops a bit too! Really the book is great as was the customer service from the author! WONDERFUL!!!

I bought this for my father, Walt, for Christmas. He is a big Disney fan, as am I, and we both LOVE Disneyland. When I got this, I opened it up to look inside - and realized it has to be the last gift he opens on Christmas morning, because he'll want to look at the whole thing right away! I couldn't put it down myself. The pictures are wonderful, and make you feel like you're looking at Walt Disney's private idea book for his park.
A must-have!

Do you want to be an imagineer, architect, artist or animator? This book has a bit of everything combined. Celebrating 50 years of Disneyland, Jeff took the greatest times and projects from Disneyland's history and put it into one book. Being a fan of Disney architecture and an aspiring animator, this book showcases everything that Disney is known for when it comes to their parks. The book is worth every penny and makes a great coffee table book that everyone will be sure to enjoy.

Aside from the cover art, table of contents, foreword, and first couple pages, EVERYTHING in the book is printed sideways -- you have to turn the book around and flip the pages up-and-over (instead of turning them right-to-left like a normal book) as if you were at an easel.
I wish they would have just bound the book to make it wide instead of letting it look "normal" on the outside but then making you turn it around as soon as you open it. Besides, it makes the book really hard to hold when it's open.
Whoa, did that even make sense?
