"Little Green Army Men" is a short children's book that retells a scene from the popular Disney film "Toy Story." Just in case you aren't familiar with that animated fantasy, "Toy Story" takes place in a suburban neighborhood where children's toys have the ability to come to life.

The text of this particular book has been adapted by Nancy Parent. "Little Green..." tells how the book's title characters, led by their toy sergeant, go on a "recon" mission to find out what new toys will be joining their owner's collection.

The book's simple text is well complemented by large full-color illustrations taken from the film itself. But the really fun thing about "Little Green..." is the fact that attached to the book is a clear plastic bubble containing seven little green army men, just like those portrayed in the film. Each little soldier is a nicely detailed, three-dimensional toy.

I suppose that some parents will hesitate to give their kids a toy that depicts firearms--the little soldiers are armed with a variety of weapons. But that's a choice each parent must make. Personally, I find "Little Green Army Men" to be a delightful complement to one of the best children's films of the 1990s. And for those adults (like myself) who played with our own little green army men as children, this interactive book will bring back some fond memories.

This is a cute little set of two mini board books. This set incluse one small book about woody that has cowboy related words like saddle and horse. The other book is about buzz and words like start and moon. I like these alot and so does my son. each page has one word and picture combo. These are small as well so they are easy to take along places

I love this book called "Disney's Treasury of Children's Classics: Grom the Fox & the Hound to the Hunchback of Notre Dame & Gina Ingogila is the author of this book.

My favorite story in this book is Beauty & The Beast & Beauty & The Beast reminds me of The Indian in the Cupboard.

In Beauty & The Beast, Gaston stabed the beast in the back so he could get rid of the beast so Gaston could marry Belle. Then he falls off the roof. Then the beast at the end of the story becomes a prince.

I loved this book!

An excellent book for young(12+ month) readers. This lift-the-flap-book is a great transition from board books. The context is simple and with the help of parents reading to their children, makes this book fun and interesting. My son just loves reading along with me, he lifts each "flap" on the pages. It's a very interactive and developmental book.

Great kid's book about Christmas!

This is a wonderful children's book. Any child who loves Winnie the Pooh, or even just a heart-warming Christmas story would enjoy this book. It's a little long to keep a kid's attention if they have trouble staying focues for about 5-8 minutes, but most of the kids I read this to (in a Kindergarten class) stayed with it the whole time.

As always, Pooh is Pooh, forgetting then remembering just about everything, including Christmas presents for his friends! He goes to Christopher Robin, who gives him stockings to give the other animals from the Hundred-Acre Woods. Pooh delivers them, then returns home to try to think of something to put IN the stockings. Unfortunately, he falls asleep before he thinks of anything. But the next morning, Christmas morning, all of his friends (Piglet, Tigger, Rabbit, Owl, Gopher and Eyore) all tell him how much they love their present! Each one has thought up something to use the stocking for that only they could think of.

I hope if you get this book, you and your child or children enjoy it!

This is the very favorite book of my friend Daniel, now age 3. He runs into the "pooh book room" every time he comes over and we have read this particular book enough times that I have had to order a new copy. He delights in pulling the tabs and screaming in fright over the woozles and heffalumps, not to mention the jagulars. An excellent read.

Accompany Christopher Robin through the Hundred-Acre-Wood as he gives "colorful" treats to each of his friends. This sweet little board book teaches colors while capturing babies attention with a delightfully rhythmic beat, "A GREEN one for Rabbit, a RED one for Pooh, an ORANGE one for Tigger, and YELLOW one, too!," and so on. Additional colors include: purple, pink, brown, blue, gold, gray, black, and white. The illustrations are charming and appeal to young children. "Colors", is a charming book with simple images for easy comprehension. Birth and up.
