Disney Books

I bought this for my niece and nephew for Christmas this year and hopefully they will keep it forever! It is more than just a book. It has recipes, comics, activities, songs, etc that you can do with your children. A must have if you have children and they are Disney fans!

I also bought Disney - The Little Big Book of Family Classics by this same publisher (Welcome Books). Another great book with lots of things to do!

It is great that you can read a familiar story to your young ones and then have an interactive family activity that follows! I love the ideas and the recipies! WOW!

The best feature of this book is that it has no chemical odors like some other books have. I was surprised at how simplistic the format is and was sort of disappointed by that at first. But my daughter LOVES this series! Despite their simplicity, we find many ways to use them as fun teaching tools! She's potty training (18 mos old) and asks for her books while she's sitting...they relax her and make her happy :) That makes Mom & Dad happy, too! Money well-spent---we had to get a few more of them since they seem to constantly walk out of the bathroom...

Usually I am not a huge fan of easy piano books. They tend to be watered-down far too much, to the point that the pieces sound nothing like the original. This book, however, is NOT the case. It features a version of "Beauty and the Beast" which I originally had a single piece of sheet music back in the mid-90's, in addition to tons of other great songs as well. The notes are written large on the pages, there's a great variety of both old and new Disney songs, and they're great for kids who are taking piano lessons. The best thing about these renditions is that they sound so much like the original pieces that when one of my students is learning the piece, they want to keep on playing it, causing them to further grow as musicians and most importantly, ENJOY playing music! It's a really great investment!

I never understod why abu was so cute but i know . He is a monkey and they r always cute...ANd thanks to my friend Alan for getting me into monkeys!!!!

This is one of my favotire books because it's filled with excitement. I recommend Aladdin for children who are adventurous and love happily ever after endings. In the book it tells about genies and magical treasures. This book will take you on an exciting journey that you will never forget!

This is the first time I have seen Disney create a compilation of their best successes, the best known books (and their famous movies) in one special volume.
This Volume includes the Complete Stories as follows:
101 Dalmatians; Beauty and the Beast; Dumbo; Pinocchio; The Lion King; The Little Mermaid; Bambi; Pocahontas; Lady and the Tramp; Peter Pan; The Aristocrats; Aladdin and Alice in Wonderland.
Each story is fully illistrated and just how I remember the books from my childhood, 40 years ago.
I definitely recommend this book, although I wish Finding Nemo had been included but I still find it to be an excellent value. The outside is a solid, thick, Hardcover so that it can be kept as a keepsake for years to come.

I like this book called "Disney's Beauty & The Beast" by adaptor Rita Balducci & illustrated by John Kurtz & Jose Cardona.

Gaston the hunter wants to marry Belle but, she doesn't like him.

When Belle & Maurice are happy to be together again, then their joy did no last long, when a crowd of villagers appeared. They were led by the wicked evil hunter, Gaston.
"Your father is crazy," he told Belle. "He said you were the prisoner of a wild beast. Crazy folk should be put away. But I won't have him locked up if you will marry me."
"But there really is a beast!" Belle cried. "Look in this mirror & you'll see!"

After Gaston sees the Beast in his mirror, he & some villagers set off to kill the Beast.
Gaston finds the Beast in his castle & challenged him to a fight.
Then Gaston pulls out a knife & stabbs the Beast in the back, & the Beast roared & as they struggled, Gaston slips & falls from the Castle roof to his death & it makes me sad.

Then later Belle rushes to the Beast. He had been mortally wounded in the fight.
The last rose petal was about to fall. "You can't die!" Belle cries. "I love you!"

Then the Beast turns into a prince & the prince & Belle dance & the spell is broken.

This book reminds me of The Indian in the Cupboard: Omri's Scrapbook.

I have a 2 1/2 yo who loves Disney Princess stories. This version is perfect for her because it tells the entire story without being too wordy/too long. I can read the entire story to her during storytime or as a nighttime story...whereas with other versions I can only read parts because they are too long to keep the attention of most 2 year olds.

After watching this movie with my 3 year old son I had to find a book about it. He loved the movie and the book is a nice compliment to it. We read it every night before bed. He also likes to tell the story in his own words by looking at the pictures in the book.
