Read it once and they'll want it read a thousand times. To avoid your own boredom, buy the entire Disney Babies set! Worth every penny.

I'm one of those people who think that kids should be multi-lingual. I learned Spanish and English together, and I've benefited from that my whole life (except when I was very young, when complete strangers felt justified in smacking little kids for speaking Spanish). Knowing more than one language is helpful even when you just want your child to focus on English. Having an understanding of Spanish helped me with English vocabulary, and I think one of the areas in which today's kids are lacking is in reading skill and vocabulary mastery, so here you go--the perfect little starter books for your bilingual (and hopefully ultimately multi-lingual) child!

I bought a slew of these for a co-worker's baby shower, and I was very pleased with them overall.

The stories are VERY short, but the Spanish vocab is superb and REAL, not TexMex or slang. The translations are good ones, and I like the art as well.

This board book is durable and fun to look at. The book has english and spanish in it. The book is about Baby Mickey at the playground where he meets a bunny, a girl on a rocking horse, and a fuzzy caterpillar that crawls on his finger. It has a lot to look at on each page, such as the sandbox, slide, swings, trees, blocks, rake, shovel, pail, etc.

My daughter now enjoys this book a lot. When we first got it, she didn't care for it at all. But now that she's older (22 mos), she really enjoys it. She likes to look at the pictures and name them. The weird part is that there is a girl on a rocking horse. Baby Mickey is also there with her and he's the same size as the girl. My daughter likes to look at the pages and talk about what is on them, such as the girl's boots and hat. Sometimes she looks at it all by herself and I can hear her talking and pointing to things in the book.

The book itself is a board book, but the pages are plastic coated, which makes them more durable than other board books. There are only a few pages and not much to the story which is just right for a toddler. The size is small enough for my daughter to hold in her lap and turn the pages herself. The edges are round so no worries about getting poked in the eye.

We got this book through Amazon as she already had the free books from Scholastic (but I didn't want to sign up for the book club) and really enjoyed them. Luckily I was able to find a few on Amazon without making the commitment to Scholastic and having to deal with returning them and all that. I'm sure most know what I am talking about when dealing with Scholastic. The annoying phone calls and having to call to return stuff. It's a real pain.

I've had this book and "Baby Mickey's Toys" since my daughter (now 10) was a baby, and my youngest loves them. There's only one or two sentences per page turn, so they make good read aloud books when baby's attention span is short. The pictures are adorable too!

This book is perfect for a baby. The book is filled with wonderful color illustrations of Baby Mickey. It describes, one by one, all the toys Mickey has to play with. A baby would enjoy seeing some of his/her own objects that Mickey plays with & what he does with them. At the end, Mickey hugs his teddy bear. I thought this book was incredibly cute & educational at the same time.

ISBN 9999029884 - With baby Disney characters, this series is bound to be a favorite with children and, since there don't seem to be enough books for kids about fears, this one has an edge!

Baby Goofy is scared as a storm starts, and gets more scared as it goes on. Baby Mickey reassures him throughout, until the storm passes and they go outside to see what the storm has left behind - a rainbow!

The usual high points: sturdy board book pages, classic high quality Disney images. More uniquely, the book offers parents a chance to talk to their own scared kids about storms and reassure them via Baby Mickey.

Joan Lowry does an excellent job with her "Casebuster" series. Will there be any more than 12? My two boys LOVE her books. She was the stepping stone for both boys as they transitioned from 'easy chapter readers' to novels! My only disappointment is that she stopped at 12 books :-( The book market needs more books like "Casebusters" to help the young reader transition from the easy to the more difficult. Joan provides wonderful vocabulary and great plots. When you finish a book, you just want to jump into the next one to see what "Brain and Sean" will get into next! I hope Ms. Nixon considers continuing her series...we will be first in line to purchase any new books!

The Bambi Book is the story of the day Bambi meets Thumper. Thumper leads Bambi around the woods and introduces him to his friends, Owl, Skunk, etc. This is a great story for little ones because it's full of the detailed, wonderful pictures of Bambi and his friends; it's told in short sentences for short attention spans; and best of all, there's no depressing struggle for survival or mother-killing. This version of Bambi is actually written for children.

I liked this book because of the drawings and the words. My favorite parts were when Bambi was born, when Bambi called the skunk Flower, and when Thumper stepped on the mole's head.

I hope all you people buy and read this book because it's cute.

This is indeed a darling, little story featuring Bambi and his friends, Thumper the Bunny, Flower the Skunk, and Owl. There are twelve pages in the book consisting of six double-paged pop-ups. It's Bambi's one-month birthday and Bambi is excited to share the great news with everyone in the forest. However, Thumper, Flower, the beavers, and even the birds are just too busy to listen to Bambi's news. While Bambi begins explaining to Owl why he feels sad, his friends suddenly surprise him with a birthday party. Bambi understands that this is why everyone was too busy to listen to him: "From then on, Bambi never worried that no one cared about him." What a perfect storybook ending!
