In my house when we talk about somebody our three-year-old son might know, we make up a name for them, so he won't know who we're talking about, you know, big ears and all that. Well Cruella just seemed to fit Devon's great aunt, so Cruella she is. However, Devon really liked the movie and he likes this book. We believe, my gal Sara and I, that he thinks we're talking around the real CDV whenever we bring the name up. This 101 Dalmatians spin off story, coloring book will keep your Disney loving Toddler entertained for ages. Although I must admit, Sara colored in all the excellent illustrations as Devon still has a problem staying between the lines.

This is actually a very fun book to have around and share with your child. It not only asks what if CDV was your Lunch Lady, but what if she was your doctor, mother, ballet teacher, babysitter as well and tells a little story in true CDV style for each situation and more. We like this book a lot at our house and we think you might too.

I bought this book for my daughter when she was three months old. I wanted her to be interested in books from an early age and this one was a great beginning. The black and white contrast of the puppies held her attention, yet each page featured a different color. She was relatively interested in the flaps, probably due to the movement of my hand more than the actual photos underneathe. For her age group, the contrast is the most appealing aspect of this book. The flaps will be something that will come to interest her in the future, if the book holds up that long. I can't yet speak for the durability of this book, but compared to other flap books in this price range I believe it will hold up quite well.

76 Disney Songs for the Harp by Sylvia Woods.

Lever and pedal harp players will find many favorites in this book of Disney Songs by Sylvia Woods. I have been playing the harp for 14 years and find these pieces challenging and very rewarding once mastered. As I reviewed the 76 titles included in the book it brought back memories of my childhood. The songs are grouped by decade starting with beautifully arranged pieces from Snow White ( the 30's) and concluding with Beauty and the Beast ( the 90"s). I have yet to find a book of harp pieces arranged by Sylvia Woods that does not touch the heart.

Tinker Bell appears actual size -- five inches tall -- on the cover of this charming addition to the Disney Fairies series. Actually, Tink is peeking through a sparkly cutout in the cover; she's really on the second page.

All the Disney Fairies favorites are here. Garden-talent fairy Lily turns a toothbrush into a scarecrow, and a horseshoe into a gate for her garden. Animal-talent fairy Beck uses a toothbrush to groom squirrel tails. Art-talent fairy Bess creates an art studio out of a tangerine crate. Water-talent fairy Rani uses tiny objects like seashells and river stones as furnishings. Queen Clarion wears flower petals as a gown. And Tink fashions a dagger out of a toothpick.

There are two reasons why the Disney Fairies series is so special. It not only encourages girls to use their imaginations, the colorful artwork bursts with such detail that even parents can appreciate it.

If your girl is older (9 to 12) she make like Fairy Dust and the Quest for the Egg or Fairy Haven and the Quest for the Wand.

I read this to my 4 year old tonight. He loved the big colorful pictures and delighted in having the disney characters teach him about shapes and colors. What a wonderful way to learn!

Mr. Toad loves to go fast - in his gypsy cart. Even in that, he runs up huge bills because he crashes into things and has to pay for them. While his friends lock him up and plot to try to keep him from losing Toad Hall to debts, Toad sneaks out and trades Toad Hall for a motorcar! When he's arrested for stealing it, everyone pitches in to help him out, even Cyril, his horse.

For the nitpickers who like to be sure that their kids' books send the "right" messages, this one won't do it for you. Cyril breaks Toad out of jail and there are no consequences and Toad doesn't change his ways... but if you're just interested in entertaining the kids and getting them hooked on books, Toad's a good way to go! His adventures are funny, he's happy-go-lucky and, in the end, Toad is Toad.

The illustrations are standard Disney, bright and colorful, and compliment the text wonderfully. And, of course, the movie these characters come from, The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad, is a nice way to draw kids into this book and build up to the book they both came from, The Wind in the Willows. Get 'em reading!

My nephew is such a huge fan of the movie, "Dinosaur". He wants to know everything about Aladar, and this book has everything you ever wanted to know about him. What a joy it was to find this book. Now I'm getting one for all his cousins!!

In 141 pages Karen Kreider tells the story of Disney's Aladdin and goes beyond it. Supported by full color images directly taken from the film. A recommendation for any Disney lover. Great way to introduce the story of Aladdin to anyone who wants to learn more about the movie but can't watch it.
