Disney Books

Great book of classic Disney songs from the 30's to the 80's, but this is an EASY PIANO songbook. Don't be fooled into thinking this is the "New Illustrated Disney Songbook" like I was! :)

This book of songs contains music from tons of Disney movies which range from Mary Poppins to some of their newest hits. I would definately reccomend this book to anyone with an interest in the kinds of classic songs that Disney creates. My edition (1986)contains a forward by Steven Speilberg.

In the book called "Oh, bother! Someone's fibbing!" Pooh was hungry so Piglet went to go get Pooh's favorite honey pot. On the way back Piglet broke Pooh's honey pot accidentally. Piglet decided to tell Pooh that a heffalump broke into his house and stole it so Pooh wouldn't be mad at him. They called a meeting and there rabbit planned a round-the-clock heffalump alert. Well, Piglet decided that he could dig up the pieces of the honey pot and glue them back together. On the way home Piglet got caught in the heffalump trap and pooh found out it was him. This book teaches kids never to lie, no matter how hard it is to tell the truth, its much worse to tell a fib.
The age level for this book is from 7-9.
This book is very good.

I thought this book was fun,enjoyable,and right to the point. It lets children know that once you tell one lie it leads to another and so on and so on.

We received this book as a shower gift, and started reading it at 3 months. The words seem a little quirky for a baby, but my son LOVES it. We read it at leat 10 times a day at his request. He is 18 months now, and has ruined the book with something sticky. (our own fault, nothing wrong with the book itself. It is very sturdy.) I am ordering another for him since he was so dissappointed all day that he couldn't open the pages.

I was leery about buying this book & cd combo since it was for 9 months and up. Since my son loves the Baby MacDonald Einstein DVD, he can relate to this book, pictures, and song at the end. Since he's 18 months and not yet a talker, he always points to the CD player to have it put on. I'm glad we bought it.

I believe that I was Stephen's teacher when he was 14. I am not sure if "This Property is condemned" means anything to him..but would certainly like to touch base with him again. carole (brown) nelson cnelson@pyramax.com

This small book contains the lyrics for "Out There" from Disney's THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME accompanied by illustrations and artwork from the film. Some of the pictures are spectacular. Even though I hated what Disney did to the story of Quasimodo and company, I did enjoy the movie and I love the music from the film. "Out There" is one of my favorite two songs from that movie and I am glad to own a copy of this small book. This is a great present for any fan of Disney's HUNCHBACK, any Disney freak, or a book to read to children.

I picked up the Disney World Passporter at a book fair and was so excited to see they have one for the cruise line too. This guide is packed with more information than you could possibly need with honest reviews and detailed information for the on-board activities and shore excursions. This spiral-bound version is nice because you can remove the pages you don't need and tuck things into the pockets. Highly recommended!

I can't even describe in words how amazing this book is. If you are thinking of going on the Disney Cruise you MUST BUY THIS BOOK. It has everything! Stickers, airline ticket holders, a leather journal with photo ID slots, website URL's to all of the vendors, fan sites, excursion companies, and everything you will ever need to know about the hotels, flight arrangements, ship crew, stats, ports, events, food, and every inch of the ships themselves. They have a ton of photos and it is written in the friendliest way. You must check it out for yourself! I wish I could give it 10 stars!

This is an exquisitely made book and if you are at all interested in animation or disney art, this or any of the sketchbook series books are a must. Each character has it's section where various sketch drawings are shown. There are also some background pictures. No text, but a delight to flip through. Beautifully designed and packaged.

This fine addition to the Disney Sketchbook series has many of the wonderful sketches done by Disney's animation department for Peter Pan, including many pieces from the storyboards, and several sketches of scenes that never made it into the final film.

Artists that would like to study the Disney style of drawing and animation should find this volume a terrific addition to their collection despite its rather high price. As a student of art, and a fan of the Disney style, I highly recommend any of these books for your library.

The book is written at a level easily understood by its target audience. Unlike some other movie adaptations I've had the misfortune of reading, this one has no plot gaps or missing information.

It works well both as a stand-alone book and as a souvenir of the film. For pre-readers, this one will generate multiple "read-to-me" requests. Newly independent readers will want to look elsewhere, but intermediate readers should be able to tackle this one.

The previous review is a joke & has no basis in this play. This play is about 2 28 year old twins who never venture out of their house & live on a diet of chocolate & sleeping pills. Their parents went out when they were 8 or 12 (can't remember) and never returned, so they never aged and remain in a child-state, completely insulated from the world -- until a vulgar, flashy entertainer come into the house and injects a sensory overload of the violent & grotesque outside world.

This book is a gem of a find. Anyone who enjoys reading "Trip Reports" about Walt Disney World (or Vegas) will find this to be a very intertaining and enjoyable read.

If you have ever been to Walt Disney World in Florida this is the souvenir you want to document your trip. If it happened to you, it probably happened to Shari and Mike, but they made it seem funny and put it to paper. Hide all those little Disney hotel soaps so the housekeeping staff would bring more? yup. Think that Splash Mountain song is telling you to show something naughty? yup. Have a great time at Disneyquest? Well, you will just have to read this book.

And then there is Las Vegas. Read about the waiter who didn't know to quit when he was ahead. Ever been on Manhattan Express? Ever wish you hadn't?

Plus tips, reviews, planning info and much more. This book is huge and well worth the price. It's fun and funny, well written and informative, easy to read and hard to put down. I have been to Disney World hundreds of times and I still learned a thing or two, and was entertained along the way. If you are going for the first time, read this book to learn what you are in for.

This book is a souvenir for everyone who has gone to Walt Disney World and was too lazy to write it all down.

This is a great book for beginning readers or girls who love Disney Princesses. It is a collection of 5 Step into Reading Books, into 1 book. My daughter has read these books at the library and loves them, so she really loves this collection with all of the princesses in it.

This Princess Story Collection is a nice way to add to your collection of Step into Reading books in an inexpensive way. I reqested this book from my local library to see what books were included. I am now here to purchase it for my daughter. It is a nice collection of 5 of the Step into Reading Early Readers. You get five Disney Princess books for the retail price of two if purchased individually.

The books included are:
"Cinderella's Countdown To The Ball" Step 1,
"Friends For A Princess" (Snow White) Step 1,
"A Pony For A Princess" (Belle) Step 2,
"Surprise For A Princess" (Sleeping Beauty or Briar Rose in this book) Step 2,
and finally "A Pet For A Princess" (Jasmine) Step 2.

I just wish Ariel was included in this collection as she is my daughter's favorite but she still loves the other princesses as well. She is only 4 and can't yet read them on her own but they are subjects that interest her. These books have one to two sentences per page and after I read a page I have her point out to me one of the words I read and have her either tell me what it starts with or how to spell it. She enjoys this.

My first grade son also enjoys the Step Into Reading books as well and they help encourage him to read.

The Step Into Reading books have lots of books on the latest movies my kids enjoy so it is fun for them to "read" about subjects that already interest them.

There is a Disney/Pixar Step Into Reading Story Collection to be released in August 2008. I hope they make more of these collections. I hope this information has been helpful.
