Great Guide - Can't Wait to Get ThereReview Date: 2008-07-12
We now have both ordered ECV's from one of the offsite rentals as recommended in the book. This is not only saving us money but lots of problems trying to get them from the limited supply at Disney.
Even changed the resort we planned to stay at and took their suggestions regarding room placement and calling ahead.
Also helped us determine which rides we can enjoy.
Highly recommend this book for anyone with physical issues that's planning a trip to Disney World.
This book is an awesome resource!Review Date: 2008-09-07

Every travel agent who sells Disney should own this book.Review Date: 2008-03-02
For example - you expect a book specializing in disabilities to address wheelchair access and loading proceedures. You don't automatically assume that it will mention that a musty smell might be an issue for someone with respiratory issues or that a strobe light might be an issue for an epileptic or a migrain sufferer.
Instead of using the book from time-to-time, I've found myself flipping through it regularly to help clients address a wide spectrum of issues - both mild and serious - and even to warn parents about frightening componants of various attractions. The book also has a lot of information for guests with food allergies.
This book will be a fantastic resource for the individual traveler but it is also a great ready reference for travel agents who really try to go the extra mile to insure a good experience for their clients.

Next Best Thing to Owning the Movies!Review Date: 2007-09-11
John Grant's description of the Disney movies and cartoons is amazingly detailed, and he profiles every character, from Mickey Mouse to obscure supporting characters that most people have forgotten about. While reading the entries, I remembered several movies and cartoons that I had seen as a kid, and forgotten about. It made me want to run out and buy all the old movies on DVD, so I could watch them again and relive this simpler time!
While Grant is definitely a Disney fan, he does look at the movies with a critical eye, and is willing to admit some of the shortcomings they had, including some of the racism that appeared in the earlier films (although I think he was a little too soft on this, which could be seen as insensitive to many people). He also has this charming, very British style of writing, that's addictive to read. Great escapist fun for any Disney fan!
When will there be a new edition of this wonderful book?Review Date: 2005-10-30
I have only one complaint. This is the third edition, and was published in 1998. Why oh why has there been no subsequent edition? What has gotten into Disney's corporate head that they have not begged Mr. Grant, well known for his extensive writings elsewhere, to bring the story of Disney animation up to date? Such a book is desperately needed!

STILL the BEST of the BEST!Review Date: 1999-02-26
The information in this edition is still fresher and more accurate than any 1999 guidebook, and I should know, I visit WDW at least four times per year. Other guidebooks are just repackaged every year with a new cover.
Note: I found the Animal Kingdom chapter in this edition to be a bit weak, but I found marvelous AK information on the book's website.
This is the only book to have ever included useful coupons, but they expired recently. The book's website has lots of good electronic coupons in the Readers' Clubhouse. The clubhouse has excellent information and wonderful community! I saved $768 last trip. NO other guidebook (and I have them all) can match the quality of Rita Aero's work, and no other major guidebook has a website or a supporting author. This one is a MUST HAVE!
Thanks for the magical vacations, Rita!

And where is Benny The Bus. Another great kids book. The story line has Benny being sick of the same old routes and the same people so he takes off without his driver. Everything is great for awhile then Benny needs maintenance and water. Benny never thought of these problems.
Of course in the end Benny shows up at the Bus Depot and he and his driver live on in infamy.

Pablo the PenguinReview Date: 2004-05-23
The story flows nicely and has no awkward spots. The pictures are wonderful. I never realized just how expressive a penguin's face could be until I saw this book. The pictures are bright, colorful, bold, and simple. The whole book is a lot of fun. How could one not have fun with the idea of a penguin that hates the cold? I love this book for it.

Definite "must read"Review Date: 2008-11-16
I have already read the book twice and have referred to it in my presentations on interviewing techniques. Marketing yourself in an interview is just as important as marketing the Disney package. When an employer is made comfortable in their hiring decision then the decision is easy to hire the person. Whenever we decide on a destination for our vacations, Walt Disney World is a yearly event. We find ourselves needing to be "Pixie Dusted" at least once a year. We go to WDW because of the extraordinary service and it is people like Lee who have made this possible.
A definite "must read"

Interesting and inspiringReview Date: 2008-11-16
Lee is a Disney legend. He has been at the top of the profession for many years and I found this book a wonderful read.
Its not a story, its a manual on how to lead with real examples. Its well written and easy to follow. You will be using it time and time again.
I am constantly trying to use this. his RAVE falls at my place of work as the people, well. But it has made me a better leader (I hope) which is the aim.
Thanks Lee.

Wonderful!Review Date: 2007-10-14
If you look around at WDW, everyone is hurrying, running, to get to the "next" thing. What you may not realize is that every step IS the next thing.
WDW is not just about shows and rides. It's all the little details that create the whole fun effect. We had never even stopped to read all the handprints in front of The Great Movie Ride, examine the fountain in front of Muppet Labs, notice all the details inside Country Bear Jamboree, or a million other things. Treaure hunting gave this trip so much more and really made this trip more "magical" than ever.

Intriguing glimpse into the world of feature animationReview Date: 2005-03-11
I personally have two favorite images from the film, one a watercolor of a drainage in Hawaii, overgrown with native plants and the second is drawings of how the alien creature, experiment 626, would work showing his skeleton and structure.
This book is listed as for ages 4-8, total mistake. this is not a kids book but would be appropriate for early teens through adult. It is an excellent book for those interested in animation, or as myself, a fan of Lilo and Stitch.
