Jack does it again!

I love Jack Sparrow, probably more than my ten year old son (but don't tell him that!).
In Dance of the Hours, I was once again on the edge of my seat (or the edge of my son's bed as I read it to him at bedtime) ! Jack is in possession of the time piece that is responsible (with his help, of course)for the world turning upside-down, literally and now he and Fitzwilliam have to fix it or Jack (and everyone else for that matter) will cease to exist.
Great read with pre-historic animals and twists and turns a long the way. I love being transported into Jack's world and I love being able to share it with my son.

My Son is 10 years old. I have been pushing him to read for a long time. He started out reading one, and ask me to buy the rest for him. he reads every night for 1hr. Just the other day I heard him say maybe he will read 2 hrs a night. I was so happy to hear that. I thought I could never break him away from all his Video games.

I am writing this review for my 7 year old son who has just finished reading the entire published set of the Jack Sparrow books. Here is what he has to say...They were all really cool. They had great endings, too. There are lots of creatures in each book like the evil mermaids in book two, mutated lizards in book four and the Krakan that is also in book two. They are really neat books and people should buy them.

If you love Winnie the Pooh, you'll love this adaptation. Armstrong has masterfully retold a well known tale for preschoolers, beginning readers and their parents. The early reader format has been well thought out and will bring quick success and feelings of achievement. The activities in the back of the book offer practice for the newly learned akills and offer needed reinforcement. All of this learning comes in a neat packagage of fun.

I think that "Pooh helps out" was a very good book. I teaches children to help each other out. I liked how all the characters helped each other out and then they all helped out to have a wonderful supper after all the helping they did. It also teaches that if you have something to do you won't get so bored.

If you love Winnie the Pooh, you will adore this entertaining adaptation. Armstrong has kept the charm of the characters as she masterfully tells the story to appeal to preschool through beginning readers and their parents. As an early reader, this concept was well thought out and will provide quick feelings of accomplishment. The activities in the back of the book add the needed repetition to insure that the sight words are remembered. And all of this learning comes from a fun, well paced story that people young and old love.

This is a refreshing Christmas tale of Santa
and his beloved elves. Busy in his home at the North pole, the story shows you all the wonders of Christmas toys being made.

Santa was so busy that he never got to play with any of the toys, that is when Mrs. Clause had an idea. "Why not stop at the very last house on your list and play a while." she told Santa. What a wonderful idea! Santa thought and smiled.

A delightful children's story with colorful illustrations and a hope that maybe you
will be the last house that Santa stops at next year! You never know!

Very young readers will delight in this lavishly illustrated book about Ariel and her friend, Flounder, in a game of hide and seek with a baby seal. The fun concludes with Ariel's rescue of her little friend who had been hiding in a clam shell and got stuck!

Simple sentences and recognizable words for early readers add to the enjoyment of the story. Artwork worthy of the name Disney bring this charming little book to life!

Add Sealed With A Kiss to the gift list for your youngest Disney fans.

Ariel Plays Hide and Seek With a Baby Seal

Review Date: 2006-10-17
This 29-page, lavishly illustrated book features Ariel--the beloved Mermaid from the Disney movie The Little Mermaid. Flounder makes an appearance in Sealed with a Kiss, as does Scuttle the bird.

Sealed with a Kiss is a Step 2 Step Into Reading book. Step 2 books target kids Preschool-Grade 1, focusing on basic vocabulary, short sentences, and simple stories. Step 2 books are for those children that are now reading with help, so if a child recognizes familiar words on sight and can sound out new words with help, then Step 2 would be just right for them.

Ever since we went to Disneyworld in August 2006, my son has been smitten with Ariel. Now that the Platinum edition DVD of the Little Mermaid is out, he's even MORE so!

When I saw Sealed with a Kiss, I knew my son would love it. The illustrations are awash with vibrant color--it's the most colorful book he owns, I think! The print is rather large, which is great, and because the sentences are rather short, the frustration level for reading is kept at a minimum.

If you're looking for an engaging story that helps children read, Sealed with a Kiss is an *excellent* choice. Beautiful illustrations, eye-popping color, simple sentences, and familiar characters make this book a winner!

It was the best Disney book I have ever read. I am a Disney fanatic, and would have wished so much, to meet Walt Disney, even though he is frozen at the moment. I loved this book, because it was so heartwarming to me, and it reminds me of everyday life...I mean the story. You never know what is going to happen next. Something dangerous, something funny, or something romantic? I guess it was so special, because my life is exactly like the ones of Kovu and Kiara. The writers must have put a lot of time and thinking for this story. I wish the best. Thanks!

I am a Lion King freak, and so have collected many children's books. I often am disapointed that the drawings barely resemble the actuall characters. This book is not a disapointment, the pictures are wonderfull, and I flip through it again and again. It also goes very in depth with the story, readers with a short attention span may get bored with the long text.

I reviewed this little box packet of 4 books for my 1 1/2 yr grandson who is in love with Toy Story. It is a wonderful set of books because it is an easy carry "suitcase" for little hands and each book is on a different character. Perfect size for little hands, very colorful. After reviewing it at a local store I am now purchasing through Amazon and mailing this as a surprise. I chose this one over other options because of its versatility for a child as it is usually difficult for my grandchildren to choose just one book and young children love things packaged neatly.

My one year old son recieved this boxed set of 4 books as a Easter gift from his grandmother. Its one of his favorites. He not only loves the books, but they come in this neat little box with a handle. He will go get them, bring them to his father or I, take one book out at a time for us to read, then after we have read them he puts them back in the box . The storys are cute and not too long.

The book follows the plots outlined in the Disney animated classics. Animation is actual Disney animation from the film, so children can relate to it. It makes a great beadtime book with stories around 15 minutes each, and 25+ to choose from. Great deal for the $$$$$.

In the original version of the book (the one I have), there was a very well done "Song of the South" story, which had "The Laughing Place," and "The Wonderful Tar Baby," both told in dialect. Of course, Disney wouldn't want this little secret to get out, would they? Ha ha. Anyway, the book has pictures straight from the movies. There are classic stories like "Peter Pan," "The Jungle Book," and lots more. Buy this, and hope you get the "Song of the South" version.

This book is great. As a Spanish teacher, I can use it to encourage my students to read and enjoy things in the language they are learning. The material is already familiar to them and it makes it easier for them to read. The students love reading their favorite classic stories in another language. Even though it isn't authentic reading material from a Spanish speaking country, it is a wonderful book!

I bought this book for my 5 year old daughter , she is bilingual and she loves Disney stories . She loves it , we also have the stories in english so she enjoys the same stories in both languages . It is a great book , the translation is really good.
The only comment I have heard from her is that not all the pictures have colors , she would like to have all of them in color but she still enjoys it, it is a great buy.
