The information is excellent on the attractions and general layout of the areas. Good insights on transportation, best times to go, hours and prices. Less focus on hotels, dining than other books.

We found this book very useful with a lot of trivia info that was very helpful. Tour information, transportation information, hours of operation, etc.

This book was very helpful in finding a hotel for 4 nights in Las Vegas. I am a graduating senior from college this May and my boyfriend and I were looking for a vacation spot that I could afford my half of the trip using my graduation money. The Family Fun Guide to Las Vegas, which I happened to see pop up as a banner ad while doing internet research on Los Vegas, was very helpful in finding a hotel for $40 a night in such short notice!

This book's a quick read, but well worth it. It has one of the most original storylines I've ever seen in a young adult book, or a adult book for that matter. The villian is very unqiue, and the ghost subplot is handled well. Howe's writing is much better than some of the hack stuff you see in horror books.

Rhea-Jane Somerville-Smythe had taken her brother, Jordan's challenge to find work and prove herself independent; only in the week that she'd been on her own she'd been very unsuccessful. She'd been on her way to find a taxi for the dreaded ride home, when a passing car had forced her to step back and she tripped on the pavement. Her fall was bad enough, but she landed hardly in a puddle her suitcase sprung open and her clothes scattered in the mud. Rafe Quinlan knew his car had not struck the woman, but he felt obligated to stop and see if she was alright. He could hardly leave her in the street, so he whisked her up and took her to the hospital, where he's shocked to learn her name is Jane Smith and even more shocked when he sees the extent of her bruises. As it becomes evident that Jane Smith has no place to go, no job, and no money, Rafe takes her home with him. In the morning, Rafe surprises Rhea-Jane with a job offer as typist, that includes room and board and he warns her that he'll continue to try to figure out her true identity. The more time Rhea-Jane spends with Rafe, the more intense their feeling of attraction becomes and the more Rhea-Jane fears his reaction when he learns who she really is.

Though published later, this is actually a book that is a prequel to Saving Grace, published in 1993. Having read Saving Grace, I realized I had this book also in my TBR. This is also a very lovely story. Rafe and Grace are both great characters. The witty banter between them is a lot of fun. Another quick and very pleasant read.

On the NASCAR circuit Justin Murphy looks like a promising driver with quite a future ahead of him if he can control his risk taking activity. When he is injured by an outraged fan, nurse Sophia Gross tends to him. They are instantly attracted to one another, but their families have a bloody history.

Whereas her pedigree is NASCAR royalty with her father a legend and her brother the current champion, his is a dead dad. He and his family believe her dad caused the accident that killed his father. Still they fall in love in spite the obstacles their feuding families toss at them with their abrasive whispering campaign.

Although the NASCAR romances are relatively knew, the Romeo and Juliet theme of feuding families has been used too frequently. Thus the well written and entertaining FORBIDDEN ATTRACTION has a lot to overcome yet Marisa Carroll does so with a fine tale of love between two wonderful lead players who deserve a chance together if their families would only let them be instead of a whisper campaign worse than that used to destroy McCain in 2000 South Carolina. Sub-genre fans will enjoy this spin around the tack.
