Perfect for the Kindle. This is one of the best and earliest books (1910) explaining the Law of Attraction. It inspired the hit dvd 'The Secret'. This is a nice readable edition. And the price is right.
Highly recommended!

The Editor's "Horse's Mouth" Review
Helpful Votes: 0 out of 1 total.
Review Date: 2008-01-11
While this seems to be a "bandwagon" book, it is actually a history of sort to "The Secret" and the Law of Attraction.

This book happened almost by accident. I was searching through my computer files for references containing "Law of Attracton" and found probably 20-40 different books by different authors which mentioned and described this particular law.

Studying these quickly told me that there needed to be a book which brought these authors back to life and able to be read by anyone interested in this personal development tool. So I selected the best chapters with the most tools and edited a book out of them.

And then edited and published all the old books I'd excerpted, so that any reader could find out more about them.

Some of these authors include: Thomas Troward (The Edinburgh and Dore Lectures on Mental Science), Charles M. Bristol (The Magic of Believing), Charles F. Haanel (Mental Chemistry), Genevieve Behrend (Your Invisible Power and How to Use It), Henry Thomas Hamblin (Within You is the Power), William Walker Atkinson (The Secret of Success), James Allen (As a Man Thinketh and Other Writings), Ernest Holmes (The Science of Mind: The Definitive Edition), Charles Fillmore (The Essential Charles Fillmore: Collected Writings of a Missouri Mystic), Prentice Mulford (Your Forces and How to Use Them - Prentice Mulford), Ralph Waldo Trine (The Master Key To This Mystical Life Of Ours), Christian D. Larsen (The Ideal Made Real Applied Metaphysics for Beginners (new edition)), Napoleon Hill (Think and Grow Rich!: The Original Version, Restored and Revised), and Julia Seton, M.D. (Freedom Talks Number 1).

And to be honest, I'm still studying these authors as the depth of their understanding - even as much as 100 years ago or more - still exceeds what our modern personal development coaches and quantum physicists are just now re-discovering and publishing to the world.

I hope you like this book and find it useful. I've gotten more out of this book to date than any course, or program of study, or personal counseling/coaching I'd ever received to date.

Here's to attracting all the success and more into your life - whatever you really want. May all your dreams become reality!

I was very excited to receive a copy of this book today.

I read through the Dedication and previewed the Table of Contents. I know that I'm going to have fun reading through this one.

Thank you, Mr. Haskin, for putting this material together and being a hero and inspiration to those of us who are ready to step off the "conveyor belt of life," discover the path where we reclaim our unique purpose, choose our own destiny, and live the life of our dreams.

I'm looking forward to a great read, new insights, and even more magic in my life. Thank you again!

Tired of the fake-genteel southern tours? The south may be rising again but its reputation won't be after travellers take this sideways glance at Atlanta's less-advertised attractions. Long-time Atlanta natives greeted the tour stops recommended by Winterberger and Tomey with screams of delight and horror. "They found THAT place?" This book took us to everything the high-class tours didn't want us to even think about -- with no pause to consider good taste or common sense. The religious sightings tour, the segrationist tour, the hollywood murder tour -- and some serious insider tips on where to find the best soul food and grits in the south -- all added up to a look at Atlanta that these tour-jaded travellers couldn't resist

Site Rating 4 1/2 Hearts - No One Writes A Sex Scene Like Holly! Hot, Carnal, And Fresh!
Helpful Votes: 2 out of 2 total.
Review Date: 2006-02-12
Everything in life seems to be explainable when viewed through an ingenious mind. Mix in the many nuances of erotic forays; you get what is called Strange Attractions.

B. G. Grantham is a secluded physicist that wants to know every thing that pertains to sexuality, and its effects. Whether it is group sex, men on men, women on women, or the traditional man and woman. One lucky lady, Charity Wills, has been chosen as a new subject for Grantham's latest carnal study. Charity will get a free college education and a whole lot more. Buckle up, because this book really gets rocking!

Strange Attractions is by the highly acclaimed erotic author, Emma Holly. Ms. Holly can flat out pen an erotic stunner. From the moment you crack open this book; you are blasted with carnal heat. The characters are multi-dimensional and well developed. The premise is lusciously fresh and intensely detailed. Much like a set of silk sheets: luxurious to dwell on and highly arousing to the touch. Emma Holly is the erotic voice of today.

Charity's character is spunky and bright, yet she still maintains a highly feminine allure to her persona. When it comes to sex, anything goes and does with her. When she gets a chance to have a free college education and have great sex, who is she to complain? But, watch out, Charity has a whole sexual arsenal she has yet to unveil.

Charity's "keeper" Eric Berne is also Grantham's right-hand man. He has known Grantham before he became famous-- and these two men are quite tight, you could say. Grantham and Eric will get an eye-opening experience when it comes to Charity and her sexual escapades.

This erotic contemporary leaves nothing to the imagination and every thing to satisfying the carnal hungers it generates while reading it. If you are not breathless and a little shell shocked after reading this book, then you have not read the same one this reviewer did. Nab a copy of Strange Attractions by Emma Holly today.

Secret Love Uncovered
Helpful Votes: 1 out of 1 total.
Review Date: 2007-04-18
Widower, Mark Hartman is in a bind after letting his sitter go and needs help with his baby niece. He seeks that help in his Administrative Assistant, Alison Lind, who works for Mark at his Self-Defense Studio. Mark is also a member of the Texas Cattleman's Club, a secret club of men who besides their regularly day to day jobs, serve as a committee to help protect the town's citizens when called upon to do. Therefore, Mark is away from home at times which may run well into the night, so he decides he needs a live-in nanny -- someone who will be there for his niece when duty calls him away from home.

Ali is a young woman who has the burden of supporting her younger sister, who is now in college. Therefore, Ali would love to earn the extra money which Mark offers in exchange for becoming a sitter to his niece. However, Ali is skeptical because that would mean moving in and living with Mark. That's not a bad idea, except that Ali has feelings for Mark that are not the feelings one have for one's boss. Ali is attracted to Mark and has been hiding her feelings for the two years she has worked for him. Needless to say, Mark has feelings for Ali also and has been trying to cover up his feelings. So Mark decides when Ali moves in that everything would be strictly on a business relationship. Easily said, but hard to do, especially when Mark and Ali run in to each other when both decides to check on baby Ericka during the night.

Ali comes to the decision that she must resign her position as nanny, but Mark has truly enjoyed having Ali around and does not want her to go. Is what they both feel for each other something more or can they keep it down to "Strictly Confidential Attraction?"

Written by mothers and Girls and Boys Town workshop presenters Laura J. Buddenberg and Kathleen M. McGee, There Are No Simple Rules For Dating My Daughter: Surviving the Pitfalls of Teen Relationships is a "must-read" guide for parents about the teen dating scene - including and especially the dramatic changes that have taken place within it since the rise of email, text messaging, instant messaging, blogging, and other forms of cyber communication. There Are No Simple Rules For Dating My Daughter is a thoroughly comprehensive guide covering everything from how to set limits to ensure children's safety, how to keep the lines of communication open, how to gently and respectfully break up (in a non-abusive relationship - anyone in an abusive relationship owes the other person no explanations when getting out), how to deal with the pain of rejection, how to recognize and terminate physically or emotionally abusive relationships, talking about sex with teens, and much more. A plain-spoken, readily understandable guide, highly recommended for mothers, fathers, and legal guardians of teens everywhere - and also for teens themselves!
