I read Gorge Speaks for a school project. I thought that this book was a very fun book to read! I liked this book because it was funny, it really got your attention and I just thought it had a good ending. I think a lot of people would read this book if they had a chance to and the time. I think mostly that a lot of kids would read it. Probably ages 4-9I really like this book and I highly recommend it and I hope you like it!

This book is a must for anyone who wants to work in radio. Not only does Elsenpeter's book provide step-by-step instructions for landing a job as a disc jockey, it also reveals important information about finding other jobs in the industry. The book is both informative and entertaining. There's nothing else like it on the market.

Another gem from Perkinson. In this book he looks at the social changes and improvements that have happened since the advent of television in our lives. His theories are worth consideration. But read it yourself. I think Perkinson is a clear writer.

This is a useful book to read, and should be on any required reading course that includes Jerry Mander!

I learned a lot about electronics from this book and found all the parts for a few projects at Radio Shack. Since the book supports Radio Shack products and visa versa, you are confident to find what you need there and save a lot of hunting around. The projects are low cost and relatively goof proof. A lot of things use a Timer IC. I recommend the book for those who want an entry level learning about electronics as a hobby. It takes some of the mystique out of circuits. One word of advice, the author is already very minimalist in what he says, he wants to keep it simple and make every word count. I found it was good to not skip anything he says on a project and to read the intro, unless you are already adept at electronics and are just fishing for good ideas.

My 12 year old son and I just started into RC model trucks and this book is a very informative start. It covers the basics of both electric and gas models. Although the specific models covered are a bit dated, the explanations of how things work and lots of photographs and illustrations make this book very useful to the beginner.

This was not the first computer programming book I ever acquired, but it was by far the best one in the first group. The lessons were so easy to follow that I brought it out and used it when I demonstrated the power of my new TRS-80. Even people who broke a profuse sweat at the mention of touching a computer were able to understand the first lessons.
The presentation is a set of cartoons interspersed with textual lessons, giving it a comic book feel. This serves to relax the reader, making it easier to plug their way through the sometimes terse code. The modern world has long ago left the programming language Basic and the TRS-80 behind. Nevertheless, they both inhabit a soft spot in the hearts of many people, me included. This book will forever be the repository of many fond memories of pounding away at the keyboard, venting my frustrations at a program that I couldn't get to work right. And the entire program contained in 16K of memory space.
