I jest finished reading this book it was great, I myself Have adhd so i know some of the heartships, so if you do or don't have adhd this book is a must. I just couldn't put it down, until my mom borowed it and finished it in the same day

A friend who's son has ADHD lent me this book. I read it in one sitting. "Club Meds" does for ADHD what "Motherless Brooklyn" by Jonathan Lethem did for Tourette's Syndrome: we get a glimpse inside the head of someone suffering from a condition few of us can recognize or understand. Written from the perspective of Jack Sutton, an irreverent, realistic young teen dealing with the effects of going off his medication when the high school bully confiscates his Ritalin, which Jack has been taking since the 3rd grade.

A good book for kids with ADHD who need a peer character to look up to, and to remind them that they are not alone with their condition. A good book for parents who want a better understanding of what their "different" kids might be going through at school AND at home. A good book for anyone who enjoys a good story and interesting, well developed characters. A side note: my 54 year old husband woke up in the middle of the night, went down to the kitchen, found the book on the counter, and started reading while eating some cereal. He read a third of it before going back to bed, then finished it the next day. Now that's impressive!

For John "Jack" Sutton, life is made up of two things--when the meds he takes for ADHD are streaming through his system, and when they're wearing off. For as long as he can remember, he's taken medication at regular intervals throughout the day to help with his ADHD, otherwise known as Attention Deficit hyperactivity Disorder. Although there are still plenty of times when his mind wanders, or when he can't answer a direct question, or when he's in his own world and doesn't even realize that someone is speaking to him, these times are fewer and farther between when he's taking his Ritalin.

Jack has a pretty close-knit group of friends: Mary, who also has ADHD, and Sam, who takes medication to keep him from having seizures due to epilepsy. Along with a few other students at Busby Memorial High School, they make up Club Meds--the students who arrive at the nurse's office daily for their mid-day dose of medication.

Jack's life isn't only made up of Club Meds, though. There's also his mother, a stay-at-home mom who has the art of worrying down to an exact science. For someone who is a freshman in high school, Jack has very little freedom. He's not allowed to talk on the phone after eight p.m., especially to Mary, who for some reason is persona non grata to his mother. He doesn't go out to parties, or stay out late, or date. And when and if he does get in trouble, which happens a lot when he deals with his father, his punishment is to have his computer taken away. Since Jack's idea of light reading is a Mac manual, this is torture. For his father, a former jock who doesn't even truly believe in either ADHD or the need for medication, dealing with Jack is something he tries to avoid at all costs.

And then there's Chuck Williams, the bully of all bullies, who gets off on tormenting the members of Club Meds. For Jack, things get even worse when Chuck starts demanding he turn over some of his weekly medication for his own purposes. How is Jack supposed to deal with everyday life without his medicine? As things go from bad to worse, it's up to the members of Club Meds to come up with a plan to end Chuck's assault.

CLUB MEDS is a great, entertaining, quick read. I've been fortunate to read some of Ms. Page's previous releases in the adult mystery market, and have to say that the same fast-paced style is in play here. A great read about being different, tolerating cruelty, and having what's mentioned in the book as "a disability that no one can see."

A definite must read for women needing answers, guidance or motivation in helping them move forward from a broken heart. The author reveals truly inspiring and enlightening revelations in the journey of life after experiencing a devastating breakup. While it is geared toward women, men can certainly benefit from the open, honest and candid insights into the heart and soul. I found the book hard to put down and superbly written with an ease of style that is almost hypnotic. In the genre of self help books, "Club Shattered, the fast track back from a broken relationship" ranks an A+.

WOW! What Pz has been able to convey as to the extent of pain and emotional devastation after a breakup was truly illuminating. In these jaded times, I feel most of us have become so guarded of our inner feelings that we have become numb, therefore emotionally stunted in some ways, always worried how others will see us. Pz made me feel that I could embrace my pain and not feel I was an emotional cripple, that it is okay to share that pain with loved ones and she helped me to map out a path to healing. Everyday I apply her principles and every day I feel better about what lies ahead.

Club Shattered is not only a well thought out book on how to handle recovery from a bad relationship, it also is visualy presented in a manner that makes it easy and enjoyable to read. The principles contained in this book apply to all ages, both women and men who have gone through the experience and those who support them.

This is a story about the '58 NFL championship but it is also a story about the City of Baltimore. The author does a good job of weaving the two and both stories are delivered with great effect.

The Colts' Baltimore: A City and Its Love Affair in the 1950sI grew up in Baltimore and experienced many of the events mentioned in the book, and recognized many of the personalities. This is not just a great history of the Baltimore Colts of the 50's but also of the city at that time. I highly recommend it for football fans of any era, and especially for fans of the real Colts.

I'd give the biggest Pulitzer ever to Micheal Olesker for this book. There are other really good books about my hometown (Charles Osgood)and other good books about the Colts (Gildea & Bowden) but nothing I've read comes close to this. I have no idea if someone who wasn't a Bawlmer native in the 50's will experience this book as I did, but it was magical! I read Olesker's column most days and frankly, didn't know he had this type of work in him. I'm so glad to find out he did. The only thing missing was a cold Natty Boh while I was reading. Thank you Micheal Olesker for writing the story of "us" that I always wanted to read.

This book has so many pages that I kept a note pad next to me so I could come up with an honest review.
I have to tell you, I can't get any more honest then I have.
I'll start with the contents of the book then I will tell you what it did for me!

The author, Charles H Muller paints a clear picture of the way Harry was feeling when venturing out away from his familiar soundings. No longer trapped in his every day routine. A routine that took years of study to accomplish but has now turned into something of the past.
Looks like Harry's problems have only just begun or should I say a continence of what he had left behind.
The author makes the reader take notice of Harry with such feeling that you almost feel the same desire that he is feeling. Wanting the same things that Harry wants.
You can feel how destitute and empty Harry is and how he longs for deep, caring, touching love.
You can't help but feel bad for him.
Men have always been known to react to what they see!
Anne stopped looking special, she let herself go..On the other hand, Eleanor was a breath of fresh air!

The way this book was written made me wish that I was Eleanor!
To have someone care that much about me is unheard of these days, but one can hope.
Charles Humphrey Muller gave Harry a personality that doesn't quit.
When woman read this book they will long for someone just like Harry. I know, I do! He has such depth and you can see right into his soul!
Cheer up men, the author makes Eleanor to be every man's dream come true! and then some!

I have to say that when Charles Muller described Anne I felt like he was looking at me!..That scared me..I'm not as bad but I was on my way for sure. I would never want anyone to think of me the way that Harry thought about Anne.
So the way this book has changed my life is that I have joined a fitness center..I've lost 28 lbs so far, two dress sizes and loving my new self!.
You see, you don't need a diet, just read the book!!

I was so intrigued with this book and the talent of the author that I have now bought another one of his books!.."A Twist in Time"..I can't wait to read it!...You will be hearing from me again!

He writes intelligently, yet his book is easy reading. Continental Drift came out of the blue through my letterbox. The novel was a well-meant present from a friend. But having a stock of unread books waiting to be enjoyed, I had absolutely no intention of reading Continental Drift for quite some time. ... Being taken in by the book's striking glossy orange-pastel cover, my fingers switched to automatic as they flicked through the pages. Unable to resist, I started reading bits here and there, as one does, and in no time I was well and truly hooked! I put the novel on my bedside table and read whenever I could steal the time to do so. Continental Drift is a novel, yet I sensed straight away that the story was based on the writer's up-and-down bobbing, often devastating life experiences. He almost stood before heaven's gate were it not for guardian angels in the form of two old ladies. In today's unsteady, complex world, many of us can identify with the writer's experiences. It proves once again that we are really all in the same boat and that life is not exactly a tea-party. Besides, the book is written in such a witty, captivating, easy to read style. And it's a learning experience, to boot. For me it certainly was! Are not the best and well-known authors grossly overrated while there is so much unknown, yet genuine talent, such as that of Humphrey Muller, out there? So why not read Continental Drift? From Page one to the end of this book the reader will find themselves coming and going, doing and thinking about what the author has written in this story.
The good times, the bad times. the depressing mood, the insecurity that he felt while going through all these changes in his life.
Having a wife he couldn't trust, forcing him from his teaching position to being a hotel owner hoping to start a new life only to find out that he had taken the problem with him.
I found Harry to be a very lonely man who was looking for love in all the wrong palaces because of Anne who became a burden because of the bad habits that she was never able to break.
As you read on you are engulfed into his privet world of desolation.
This is a good story, well told that keeps your interset as to what will take place next!..I recomand this book for it is a good book to read!.I have never read one like it. It's excelent!

I bought this book at the textile museum in Washington, D.C. many years ago and it fascinated me. The book was lovingly researched and the pictures are a treasure, along with the very interesting copy. I have actually had people ask me if I would be interested in parting with it. If you want to learn something deeper about Indian culture, buy this book and enjoy.

This is an amazing work of research documentatione and description of the indian society and tradition along with a beautifully illustrated presentation

This very lavish book is an wonderful reference for any student of Indian costume and textiles. Many wonderful color photographs show the interaction of textiles and costume in India. The text has a great deal of information about the historical development of sewn clothing across India. A very useful book!

This is my favorite collection of Indian cooking. The recipes cover a wide variety of foods, including soups, appetizers, rice, veggie dishes, and meat dishes. I particularly love the rice and cauliflower dishes. My friends are always impressed when I make a feast of Indian food from this cook book. The pictures are great too. The only criticism I have is that the recipes are written in the metric system.

If you want to cook curry like you'd get in a UK curry house, this is the book you need. There are no substitutes. A lot of curry authors give you recipes their Auntie used. This is not what you get in a restaurant. This book teaches you how to make a bucketfull of the curry 'gravy' they use in most restaurants, and how to adapt it to your favourite curry.

In no time you'll be making curries in 30mins that beat the ones you love from your local curry house.

One word of advice, make sure you put the lid firmly on the blender when liquidising curry sauce.

This book is full of mouthwatering photos which is the only way you can decide which of the hundreds of recipes to choose from.

A basic for every kitchen.

I would urge any company, regardless of size, that is even considering starting a loyalty program to use this book as "the Bible." Mr. Butscher carefully takes you through the benefits and pitfalls of such programs. Unlike most books on this subject, Mr. Butscher supports his theories with "real world" case studies from a wide array companies. More importantly, Mr. Butscher demonstrates that sucessful programs did not happen by mistake, but rather by careful planning and implementing a framework that was beneficial to both the company, and more importantly, the customers.

Most new books on loyalty programs skip over basic customer program development. They present loyalty marketing in an academic format full of mathematical formuls which are rarely, if ever, used by a company. This is not to say the visual presentation of Mr. Butscher's solid advice and guidance is left to the reader, but it is not force-feed.

Read this practical guide prior to reviewing your current loyalty program or developing a new program.

Not every frequency marketing issue is covered in depth but how many of your employees will care? This book can be understood and enjoyed by anyone who knows they should be addressing loyalty marketing, but get lost in the details. Enjoy !

Mr. Butscher certainly understand to communicate and cover the central issues connected to establishing a successful customer club. The book is great, because of it's many casestories, which goes from Germany to Asia to the U.S. Further the book is a book for practise - no long theories and mathmatical issues is covered, which makes the book easy to comprehend. I strongly recommed everyone working professionally with customer clubs and loyalty programmes to read this book. It can not be unheard what Mr. Butscher has on his agenda.

Dandie Dinmont Terrier (Comprehensive Owner's Guide) This is a great book on this magnificent, if fairly unknown, terrier breed. Ms. Stenmark has bred and judged "Dandies" for many years and her book should encourage all present and future breed enthusiasts regarding the breeding and care of their chosen beautiful, intelligent, and dignified companions. A breed as no other!

Althought this is a rare breed, I was so glad to see an eminent expert on Dandies as the author. The information on the breed could not have been more complete, addressing the history in detail, with excellent annotations supplementing the standard, personal stories and details on grooming and showing. I was also impressed on the detail of the grooming techniques provided. I have a number of other books previously written on Dandies, but consider this to be far and above the best them.

This book is exccellent. It gives very detailed information about the breed. I recommend anyone who thinks they are interested in this perticular breed to read this book and you will have a very good understanding of the breed. For those who are interested in showing this breed this book gives excellent recommendations and suggestions on how to groom for the show ring and the pet. EXCELLENT EXCELLENT BOOK
