Well I don't think it is cricket to review your own work...but I do want readers to know that this is not a paperback as listed...it is a CD! And a really fun one if I do say so myself!

I used this book for academic purposes, and I must say it was an excellent source. Gill goes into full depth and analysis into the collapse of the Soviet Union, analysing whether the it was due to external or internal factors.

The book is not a light read, nor is it for any "history lover", but for serious academics or historians who are studying the subject. This book isn't exactly what I would want to come home and read all day, but its investigation in superb and its propositions seem to be very well founded.

This is one of the many books that will make history be kind to Gorbachev, especially in the recent post-Soviet decade where eh is considered a traitor to the communist society, and it will give the reader food for thought on the inflexibility of the Party in the USSR.

Volume 7 of the massive 50 volume set of the English translations of all the writings of Karl Marx and Frederick Engels is a very significant book. Having developed and refined their theory of dialectical historical materialism known as scientific socialism, Marx and Engels set about applying their theory to explain the significance of events occuring in their own day.

Because Volume contains the writings of Marx nd Engels from the year 1848, the events which fill the pages of this book are the various revolutionary upsurges that were occurring all around Europe that year. In Paris, Berlin, Frankfurt, Vienna, and Hungary along with many other places in Europe, the revolt of the people required monarchs everywhere to come to terms with the demands of the people for representive assemblies and constitutions which would restrict the absolute authority and "devine right" of royalty. All by itself, Volume 7 is exciting reading of one of the most significant times in human history.

This book was written by a friend of mine whose talent I much admire. It gives the young reader a different perspective of the events leading up to the American Revolution - through the eyes of an errand boy who, while delivering an important message to Boston Patriots, gives the reader an inside view into the lives of some of the colonists. It is an interesting and beautifully illustrated book.
I bought it for my granddaughter who is nine, and will be studying the American Revolition next year in 4th grade.

This book is well written and well researched. The best parts, in my opinion, are the case studies showing the problems encountered and solutions employed at actual companies. If you are interested in meeting the new ISO standards for communicating about sustainable development, buy this book. If you are interested in how and why companies in your neighborhood communicate the way they do, buy this book.

I can say for a fact that this is probably the best book on the subject. Aloysius Chin, who also happens to be my grandfather, has been actively fighting the communist for a great part of his life. He rose to the rank of Senior Assistant Commissioner 1 (SAC 1) in the Special Branch Division, a division that dealt with the Communist Party of Malay (CPM) threat. So he definitely knows the "inside story"

Although he could not disclose his operations while serving in the police, he was often away from the family for many days in the jungles of Malaysia, fighting the communist. He came close to death in one such operation when he was shot at. He even had his name written on a $5 bill, indicating that he was an assassination target by the CPM

When he was writing his book, he used to explain the strategies of the communists and we used to have in-depth discussions on the topic. He could point out exactly where the communists were on maps and what they were doing there.

If you're looking for a book with a novel-like tone, this is not one you would pick up. It's very factual and provides insights into the workings and the intricate operations of the Communist. Definitely a great read.

Yes, it's quirky (read: British-oriented with all the cute spelling and different names for food items), but the recipes are grouped usefully, the recipes look delicious and not painstaking to prepare, and the recipes also are not of food that's too esoteric to get ahold of at a good supermarket, for the most part.

There is lots of useful, practical information on hosting a party, including etiquette tips. And what is especially useful is the VARIETY of types of parties/occasions/celebrations this book provides pertinent information on.

Also, the presentatin is fabulous with great pictures, diagrams, etc.

If you ever want to host a party --be it a gala for 100+ or yummy snacks for friends on Oscar night or an intimate picnic....BUY THIS BOOK!

Food is usually the center of a party, and this one has amazing instructions of hwo to turn ordinary jello into a boat with a sail or make a sandwhich house complete with carrot windows and doors, a castle cake, dinosaur cake, whale cake, bus cake, etc.. All the instructions are here to guide you to making a party filled with very creative themed food. Great Book!!
