Not only that, the book has special chapters about tree trimming, and holiday goodies. Also, the illustrations are unbelievably beautiful.

This is a must have book for anyone who loves caroling, or just wants a special decoration this holiday season.

The book is very cute and will look nice on the coffee table throughout the Christmas season. I like the perforated tear-out lyric sheets in the back of the book. It has many ideas and recipes for creating a caroling party - Cranberry punch, gingerbread cookies, and instructions for a few parlor games. Can be displayed upright and open on a table.

I would recommend this to anyone who loves "cute" things.

Are our liberties at stake?

Robert Thomas Raming has researched and tracked the hidden side of the history of America. Even as we believe we have a democracy with the right to choose policies via the political system, he shows us how often we are maneuvered and manipulated by a "Power Elite", whose agenda is quite different than the ordinary man-in-the-street. He gives us example after example of a hidden network, and the people and organizations it works through.
Their agenda, he indicates, is to destroy the liberty we now have in this country which is based on our Constitution and which we so often take for granted. He believes that if people only knew in advance it was coming, they wouldn't allow it.
Can this be stopped? He gives possible solutions. Very good reading.

I hope this isn't the only book, attention, or time given to such a direct subject. Authors today seem to dance around the things they'd really like to say, with several trips to the thesauruses and cleverly placed words, all efforts to tell a story seem to turn into entertainment. This is a shoot from the hip kind of guy. "War And Death Of The American Dream" is a must read!

The Whig Revival: 1808-1830 (Studies in Modern History)

Excellent Work

Review Date: 2005-11-24
William Hay's work THE WHIG REVIVAL: 1808-1832 is a well-written political monograph. Hay chronicles the numerous setbacks faced by the Whig Party during the time period 1808-1832, including such things as public skepticism about the party's views on the war in France and uncertainty as to the stability of party leaders. He ably demonstrates how, despite the numerous setbacks faced by the party, and numerous defeats, the Whig Party eventually does come to power.

Democrats and Republicans both would do well to pay attention to the tenacity shown by Brougham and the Whigs. Anyone looking for a strong political history; a history of England in the late Georgian period; or a terrific treatment of Henry Brougham's career should read this book. As an aside, I have to echo other reviewers in their wish for Hay to write a biography of Brougham. Hay's attention to detail and mastery of writing will serve well in bringing this interesting character to life once again.

Will Hay has produced an elegantly crafted and diligently researched study of the shaping of the Whig Party after the Napoleonic Wars into a modern political organization. What he has done is to pick a point and personality in British parliamentary history that have been largely overlooked in studies of this kind. And he has presented his arguments in the context of a much broader discussion of the evolution of British parliamentary government, from the first decade of the nineteenth century into the Whig ascendancy of the 1830s.

I consider finding this book "divine intervention"! I'm so glad Phil finished the book before I started my search for a 3PL WMS software solution. Phil has saved me countless phone calls, emails, and follow-ups to software vendors.

I can not overstate how useful this book is to helping weed through the myriad of software vendors and technical jargon. The book is so well laid out, that I was able to cut right to the chase and shave my initial list of software vendors from over a hundred down to seven!

Hats off to Phil for a tremendous amount of effort and a job well done!

I know these are not the most amazing books ever written but i enjoy them. I love catherine hapka's series star power it is alot like this story. they are both about "down to earth teens" it makes them seem unreal, but is nice for people who want a sweet story instead of most storys about teens. In this book it is school spirt week and at the end of the week there is a sadie hokins dance. Troy is waiting for Grabreila to ask him, but there is something else on her mind. She over hears her mom on the phone talking to her boss. And grabriala thinks they are going to have to move again. The ending is not queit what i thought it would be but it does have that super sweet happy ending.

This is a short and sweet book. I read it in a day (plus or minsus a few hours.) It was a sweet story. I think that it is very nice for young girls to read i would recommened it to anyone who likes disney or the movies (high school musical 1 or 2.) This book takes place inbetween the two movies. And at the moment there is a battle of the bands, troy is doing it with his b-ball friends. Sharpay is doing a girl group, with her devoted "fans" (and taylor.) so where does that leave gabreila and ryan?? the book of course has a happy ending but is very nice.

"Yellow Dog Party" is the sixth Thomas Black mystery by Earl Emerson. Floyd Boyd, Jimmy Canfield, Denny McCallum, and Rex Ronquist hold an annual beer bash and party in honor of Canfield's yellow dog who was killed by a Ritz Cracker truck. They call it the Yellow Dog Party. These 4 friends who are successful businessmen ask PI Thomas Black to find 4 women with whom they want to have "dream dates." When Black finds the first woman, she is in a coma in an Oregon hospital. As he and friend Kathy Birchfield are leaving the hospital, they are abducted by 3 masked men. Kathy is able to run, but Thomas is assaulted and hung from a tree. Luckily for him, the branch snaps and he is spared. He begins to hunt down these 3 men and find out why they wanted to kill him. As he searches for the other 3 women, it becomes clear that one of the 4 men has an ulterior motive. Then Denny McCallum is found murdered in a hotel room. This novel also deals with the relationship of Thomas Black and Kathy Birchfield. Kathy announces that she is engaged to her boyfriend, Philip. With the possibility of losing her, Thomas finally tells her that he loves her and they kiss. The next books will have to deal with this situation. "Yellow Dog Party" is one of the best of the Thomas Black novels and is highly recommended.

A fun read with a lesson

My daughter and I just finished this book. She started reading Zibby books several years ago when she was younger - but still enjoys following Zib's exploits now that she's 13.

The story deals with competitive pressures that young girls sometimes face with their friends, but treats the situations with humor and perspective. The lesson Zibby learns at the end to live and let live is an important one for kids to keep in mind. It's a fun book that gives girls something to think about in their own relationships.

Three parties factor into Zibby Payne and the Party Problem, the third book in the delightful Zibby Payne series.

First, popular Amber invites many of the girls in their class to her exclusive party. She has a history of throwing the biggest, coolest bashes around. This time around, some of her invitations include a "special coupon" redeemable for a secret prize. The girls who don't get invited at all feel left out, and those who get invitations without coupons wonder why Amber included them at all if she doesn't think they are cool enough to get the bonus surprise. Zibby thinks Amber's being unfair, and she wants to boycott the party.

Shortly after Amber's event comes Savannah's roller skating party and sleepover. Zibby is excited to go. She thinks that Savannnah's a lot more friendly than Amber. But when the skating is done and it's time to go to Savannah's house, Zibby finds out that her best friend Sarah wasn't invited to the sleepover. It turns out that the party girl's mom permitted her to invite twelve girls to the rink, but only six back to their house. Upset that people are being left out again, Zibby turns down the sleepover and leaves with Sarah instead.

Zibby decides to have her own party. Determined to have "the most inclusive party on the planet," she makes a lengthy guest list naming "everyone [she's] friends with, sometimes friends with, used-to-be friends with, and want-to-be friends with." The guest list grows as she adds the boys she plays soccer with and two girls she thinks are kind of weird but doesn't want to leave out. After she "accidentally dis-invites" those girls and her well-intentioned plans go awry, she has to eat some humble pie before the party's over.

Zibby would be fast friends with Ramona Quimby. I highly recommend this series for kids in elementary school and just beginning middle school. Alison Bell has captured the ups and downs and dramas of tweendom while preserving the innocence of that age.

This book has many bonuses! Not only are the craft and gift ideas easy for kids to make, the illustrations throughout the book are entertaining! The book is filled with "Smile" cartoons that brighten your day and add joy as you flip through the pages. There are ideas for every season and occasion to keep kids busy at any time of the year. Also, the back of the book contains several humorously illustrated certificates that parents (or teachers)can give to children after making a craft, like, the "Creative Genius" award, or the "Stretching Your Ability" award! This is a great book for parents to keep handy when they hear the inevitable, "Mom, I'm bored; what can I do?" When television is out the question, parents should hand this book to thier child with a room full of craft-making goodies, and let kids create and have a blast with their talents!
