Having a gourmet quality breakfast in bed is one of life's true luxuries. Now with Carol Frieberg's "Breakfast In Bed: More Than 150 Recipes For Delicious Morning Meals" anyone can enjoy such delightful decadence. Each dish is thoroughly 'kitchen cook friendly' and simple in its preparation. The recipes are drawn from the menus of elegant west-coast bed-and-breakfasts and other inns, presenting the very best of breakfast menu favorite fare. All of them are simply delicious palate pleasing and appetite satisfying, ranging along the whole spectrum of breakfast entrees. The recipes range from French Breakfast Puffs (Abigail's, Victoria, British Columbia); Chocolate Zucchini Rum Cake (Hammons House Inn Bed & Breakfast, Sonora, California); and Blueberry Sourdough Cobbler (Chambered Nautilus, Seattle, Washington); to South of the Border Crustless Quiche (Salisbury House, Seattle, Washington); Apple Cider Syrup (Hilltop Bed 7 Breakfast, Ferndale, Washington); and Baked Breakfast Apples (Glendeven Inn & Gallery, Little River, California).

Excellent book for those that love unusual hotels
Helpful Votes: 4 out of 4 total.

I first came across the '92 version of this book and have had many years of excellent use out of it. The updated 97 version was found by accident in a local book store.

The new version has been updated somewhat though sadly with the omission of an interesting Abbey in Wales. It does however still retain a captivating selection of unusual Hotels to stay in.

What seperates this book from crowd for me is the simple yet accurate descriptions of the Hotels. I have given it to many a visiting friend to help enhance their journey across this green and pleasant land.

Highly recommended.

Both Pat Fenn and Rosemary Gower-Jones tell it like it is. It's very rare to find such honesty to-day, you can be sure that each Chambres d'Hotes is just as they say it will be.

To travel in France without this book is to travel in America without insurance, foolish.

Easy reading and well organized.
Helpful Votes: 10 out of 12 total.

Betsy and I enjoyed creating this book because it gave us an opportunity to introduce visitors and residents to places that make Indianapolis special. Strolling, shopping, or sightseeing, visitors will be guided to those places that gave them the richest flavors the city has to offer.

The book is divided into thirteen chapters, including Where To Stay, Shopping, and Nightlife, making it easy for readers to pinpoint the topic they are searching for. Entries are short and fact-packed, and the book includes plenty of pictures and fun facts about the city.

We are particularly pleased that a portion of the books profits go to the Indianapolis Parks Foundation. Helen O'Guinn

This book is by far the best VT book I've ever read. It doesn't include the behavioral aspects, but it gives you both the cause of the problem, the diagnosis, and the solution in an easy to read format.
