Directories Books

This four volume edition includes breif outlines of over 16,000 (out of 80,000) available federally sponsored training materials. Each outline also includes directions on how to order them. Without a doubt, one of the more useful resource directories, particularly for anyone trying to pull together a training program without recreating the wheel. Unfortunately, the publisher hasn't put out a new version in a very long time - hopefully someone will get the message and do an update.

Unfortunate that this is out of print. It is an excellent book about all defenses. It lists odd and even defenses and the strengths and weaknesses of each. Particularly valuable is a position by position list, and their basic alignments and keys. I've used it for high school, but you can see application to just good teaching at all levels. I "loaned" mine out and can't get it back. Well worth the time to look for it.

This book is amazing. It is a MUST for any reference library! Everything and anything one could possible have a question for silver during this time period is here.
If can't find this in the store then look at your library. I can't speak highly enough about this book. I have used it for years and never saw one better!

Excellent reference for art students, illustrators, artists or art directors. You'll see so many beautiful illustrations and techniques from different illustrators around the country.

A result of extensive global survey of people and resources, brief, albeit useful and handy.

Not ony this has about 100 different knots (20 practical ones), it has some knots that you can make as an ornament or good luck charms. It has useful illustrations too. Although I just bought this book a few hours ago on a sale rack in a nearby bookstore, my first impression of this book is pretty good.

This is the largest guide to the consumer catalog industry by Grey House Publishing. This book lists 13,018 different catalogs. This, of course is an incredible number and the reason this book is priced at $250.00 and up. It is also available in some libraries. The book gives interesting information for each listing. Some of the listing information that you will find includes: address, catalog cost, circulation, # pages in catalog, years in business, web and e-mail address, phone # and fax #, products offered, average order size, employee size, and mailing list information.

The book is divided into 41 broad categories. Some of the broad categories are: animals, baby products, books, clothing, education, environment, food & beverage, health & personal care, hobbies, motorcycles, music, shoes, and travel & leisure.
