This is one of those official federal histories that often provide great depth and detail of a topic not well covered elsewhere. It helps to be into dams and dam building, for this is the best book to date on the many New Deal dam projects from the iconic Boulder/Hoover Dam to those built both before and since. There is considerable information on how these monumental structures came to be in an era very diferent from our own. We read of the fascinating people who designed and constructed them, often in places with hellish conditions. Good photos and diagrams supplement the well-researched text. A study this good deserves to be better known--and widely read.

If you are looking to design your own home gym, I think you will find this resource very helpful. Some outdated fitness information by the author, but overall, very informative.

The devices here stem from the early days of American farming, when things were made to last. Charming, practical, and over six hundred pages, this book is a real bargain!

I purchased this book in advance of an ice-fishing trip to North Dakota a group of us are planning to make in January, 1999. This volume is so thorough, that I just ordered "Hooked on Ice Fishing Volume I" over Amazon.com.

This book saved me from making over $300 in unecessary equipment purchaes. I was thinking about buying a Flasher sonar unit for the trip, but descriptions accompanied by pictures of LCR units in this volume made me realize that one of my current units will work just fine on ice, and now I know how to accurately interpret the signals when the unit is stationary as opposed to moving in a boat.

This is one of the best fishing books I have ever read.

This book is simply great. It tells all about horse care, grooming, breeding, and the anatomy of the horse. A must read for anyone who loves horses.

Lee covers the surveillance subject very well in this version. Some of the material might be somewhat dated now (1999), but nonetheless, important information for the security/privacy conscience ones of us.

Very useful information for anyone working with clients in the pharmaceutical industry. Provides you with the inside scoop on all the rules and regulations that drug companies have to deal with. It also shows how you can use this knowledge to provide better products and customer service. Extremely beneficial for those who have no prior experience with the pharmaceutical GMP (Good Maufacturing Practices) world!

This book is a good starting point on the road to Dawah.

It's a treasure chest of information that Daee will find helpful when getting serious about Dawah. The Christian religion primer is top notch, and got me interested enough to search for other books on the topic.

Yahiya Emerick liberally powders the book with references on who to talk to, which organizations are active in which areas, and how to get in touch with them. The bibliography (Categorized) is excellent, as it lists books that a person can read if they want more in depth knowledge on a specific subject (ie. Dawah for Asian-Americans). The list of other Dawah books was very helpful also.

Some negative aspects of the book was the superficial "Caucasian" Muslims chapter. As well as the geneology of an immigrant family. Both seemed rather superficial.

I wouldn't let that get you down though. This book is a very useful Dawah tool. It is a great stepping stone into more serious study of Dawah and its specifics.
