This is an amazing book. It talks about anything and everything in business forecasting. It explains the process, the people, the techniques, the systems, and the different approaches different departments take.

I highly recommend this book for anybody in product forecasting and/or demand management. This book can also serve as a study material for anyone who wants to become a Certified Professional Forecaster (CPF).

It's a must for those who deal with forecasting on a regular basis as well as those who have just been immersed into environment of demand management.

It is an excelent book for students and for profesional chemical engineers. I used it as a undergraduate student at the University of Puerto Rico. It contains useful algoritms and data as well as optimization techniques for the design of equipment of air Pollution control. You wont find anything better for this price.

Great book, very comprehensive and easy to understand. In depth knowledge of cost analysis (estimation) and equipment optimization. More value per buck than any other book in the market. This text covers the Cost Estimation Methodology, Adsorption Devices, Flue Gas Desulfurization, Control of Nitrogen Oxides, Particulate Emissions Control, Cyclonic Devices, Electrostatic Precipitators and my all time favorite: Fabric Filters. Everything you need to be a succesful pollution control engineer.

I've read through the book twice, and have since donated it to the bookshelves at the AIDS Support Network of San Luis Obispo County, CA. My first shortwave receiver, as a 12 year old, was a Hallicafters S-38. I thought it was a really impressive looking radio then and have always loved the hallicrafters looks and the performance of their top end receivers. Chuck Dachis has clearly wrote the most complete reference for all the products made by Hallicrafters. As a collector and restorer of tube type radios the book has been an invaluable reference. The only down side is I found more models and accessories that I would like to add to my collection. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves old radios.

This book is extremely interesting to anyone interested in the history of Western Maine or the Rangeley boat. I loved the old photos with their captions describing a charming time in Maine's history. As an amuture boat builder I found the information on the developement of the Rangeley boat and its builders helpful and informative.

The Rangeley Lakes region of western Main is an area dominated by four big lakes and linked by streams. This lake system more resembles a series of inland seas than simple and connected freshwater lakes. Sporting camps and lodges became numerous and as tourists were able to access the area by carriage, train, and steamboat in ever larger numbers, a local economy evolved that included craftsmen, entrepreneurs, and guides. By the 1870s a double-ended, lightweight, shapely, swift boat was developed and favored by guides. "The Rangeley And Its Region: The Famous Boat And Lakes Of Western Maine" by Stephen A. Cole (director of natural resources and sustainable communities programs at the community development corporation Coastal Enterprises, Inc.) is the detailed and profusely illustrated history of the area along with the technological innovations and cultural changes associated with the distinctive boat included seas added to the thwarts fo keep the craft passenger centered, and a squaring of the stern to accommodate a motor. The hand-crafted Rangeley boat declined with the coming of post-World War II introduction of factory produced aluminum and fiberglass boats. Yet this unique craft continues to be seen plying the waters of the Rangeley Lakes. "The Rangeley And It Region" is a unique and highly recommended regional history that would make a welcome and popular addition to academic and community library collections.

The supplies necessary are easy to find, many of which are found commonly in the home, and most of which are non-toxic. This book is especially great for parents who have young children experimenting in the art world, and they will save money by making their own materials over buying commercial products. Helen Sattler's recipes cover paints, glues, many common and unusual modelling clay compounds, inks, papier mache, and some unusual materials such as crystal garden growing compound and stamp glue. Budding artists young and old will find this book to be an intriguing and resourceful compilation. It's also a great gift for teachers and other people who work with young children.

This is the ultimate book for scout leaders, creative teachers, youth leaders, anyone with kids who wants to make those common things that we get off the shelf. In here, you can find recipes for ink, paint, glue, clay in any form. The kids' reaction is something along the lines of "WOW!", "I didn't know you could make that," " Is that how it's done?" The book shows us mere mortals how to make magic. Great fun for kids of all ages!

This book starts out with the simplest 2-stroke engines, explaining different carburetor setups, and goes up through more complicated 4-stroke engines. This book would be a great basis for learning about gasoline engines in general... It also has advice on general maintenance and troubleshooting. Very informative book for learning HOW these things work so that you can fix them.

I looked at several small engine repair manuals and I was unimpressed by them. (The Haynes book is particularly disappointing) This one goes into a nice level of explanation of how something (e.g. a carburetor) works, the various types available and then how to trouble shoot it. Knowing how something works is crucial to really trouble shoot an engine.

I am an engineer so I like how this book describes the items function. Obviously some level of technical understanding is necessary to really appreciate an engine manual. But if you don't have that appreciation - you probably aren't trying to fix your own engines. So if you are looking for such a book, I can easily recommend this one.

The knowledge I've gained from this book has also helped with larger pieces of equipment - like full-size tractors. The older tractors (like my John Deere 3010) use the same basic components.
