I couldn't be happier with this sprinkler.
It's very nice to be able to point the heads in separate directions.
The quality is top rate.
Be sure to get more than one though as it's not practical to try to move it to different spots in you yard or garden.
You don't want to be resetting the directions of you sprinkler heads all the time.
It does take a little bit of time to begin with to get them adjusted to where you want them to go.
I'm going to be buying more of these and my daugher is going to buy some for her yard as well.

Not only does it explain how to correctly format your letter, but it also offers guidance on how to organize your thoughts on paper, how to choose the most effective words, and how to charm your readers with tact and courtesy. Christophe Basso worked very hard giving years of his life to produce the best Switch-Mode Power Supply book available, by far. I have a large collection of books on SMPS and although many are very good books, they are not nearly as complete or practical as Basso's book. He derives all his equations and then shows many real world example designs from start to finish. In my opinion and the opinion of many power electronics professionals and power electronics college students, the averaged switch model is the easiest to create and most intuitive to understand and use. Basso has digested the best information from the best references and then creatively enhanced many models and invented new SPICE models/sub-circuits you need for large and small signal analysis and simulations with the SPICE of your choice. His knowledge of creating analog behavioral models (ABM) that perform just like the real components or circuit functions, is amazing. He created ABM PWMs from individual ABM components. Everything he creates, he verifies. You buy this book at a bargain price and get a CD with all the models/sub-circuits you need to check your existing designs and start new designs with the highest confidence. Once you look at his ABMs, you will want to create some of your own because it is so much fun. In a short time, I've used his models/sub-circuits and his techniques with PSPICE to identify lack of or no phase margin in Switch-Mode Power Supplies for a huge corporation. I have many more power supplies to analyze/simulate and several new ones to design.

I've worked as a power electronics engineer for many years and I'm so thankful to Christophe Basso for working so hard and smart to produce the best Switch-Mode Power Supply book ever written. Very thorough and very practical. Get this book and apply Basso's knowledge, techniques, and SPICE models/sub-circuits to your designs and you will never have another unstable Switch-Mode or Linear Power Supply.

Once in a while a book comes along that covers a subject in such detail and yet is chocked with examples that are easy to prove and use by students and designers in the field as this one. It is evident that Mr. Basso went to great lengths to make sure that users of different spice software platforms were included by supplying a CD with models and demos for all the major platforms. I don't know of another offering that deals with closing the feedback loop in the detail as this book does. I think any serious graduate program should consider including this book as a text. Money and time well spent; it is my second reference for serious SMPS work.

Despite I have great experience in other fields, I don't have it in power electronics. I found this book very original and didactic. I gess that his author has a big experience in this matter and hi has also the experience to transmit it. Written in a easy way to understant with a lot of tables, figures and equations, all the subjects are treated very deeply. I think is an useful book for any designer that must deal with power electronics.

I have a lot of switching power supply books but this one is by far the best. The author talks to you like a real person not like a computational robot. He speaks as if he really wants you to learn about switching power supplies not just to show you how much he knows. You can tell that he is very fond of this subject and he wants to share it with you. There are plenty of examples and a FAQ section; yes the math is there as well. You can clear you shelves of all the other books because this is the only one you will need.

I have been trying to find a book that explains in simple text how a feedback loop control works. There are two books that I find useful. One is this book and the other one is 'Practical Design for power supply.' In this book, the author went through close/open loop analysis, compensation network, current mode control, etc. He used a lot of pictorial explaination, which is great, as I don't like to read words :) Also it has a good chapter on switching power lose.

The only draw back that I found is the language used. Sometime I will get confused and have to go back and read it a few times. But other then that, I think you will find this book pretty helpful. Enjoy.

Dear Reader

If you are Power Engineer/ IC Engineer / Applications Engineer entrying the field of Power Electronics, or someone who wants needs to re-educate in the field of power electronics I strongly urge you to keep a copy of this text on your desk.

The author has spent many years gathering precious gems which only exist in the realms of universities or so called experts not willing to share the pitfalls of power design. He and has written the material that anyone who wants a good grasp of power electronics will easily gain.

His chapter on stability is definitely worth its weight in gold. Such topics from the various classic textbooks either suffer the formulae syndrome, or basically the cookbook either leaving the reader, confused or tell me more syndrome. He even explains how the Laplace transform is used without having to go into lengthy math analyis, wow. It took me years to learn this.

This book is written in a straight forward manner you have to go through it chapter by chapter to gain the reap the full benefits.

I wish I had this book many years ago, I could have avoided a lot painful hours of debugging power circuitry.

As mentioned in the preface the four areas that differentiate this book from others are (1)only *digital* synchronization is discussed, (2) Maximum Likelihood metric is used throughout, (3) for performance measure the Cramer Rao lower bound is used and (4) in addition to PAM, CPM is considered in detail too.
However, what I like most about this book is (1) its organization where you can directly jump to the chapter of interest with minimum overlap between chapters and (2) its coverage which is very fundamental, deductive and solid, staying away from ad hoc arguments.

This book summarizes authors' works on synchronization in digital comm over the past ten years. There are very few books specifically dedicated to this topic. According to my knowledge, several books on sync are now out of print, and the publication of this book can fill this blank. The most important feature of this book is that it provides valuable information on the sync techniques for continuous-phase modulation (CPM) which will play an improtant role of the next generation of PCS.

It is well writen to the point and covers a lot of BASIC care information without getting to scientific or to historical. Great pictures and it has a pretty good section on different tarantulas in the hobby (talks about the temprement, housing, etc,) which will help you to choose what tarantula is right for you. This is a must for any tarantula hobbyist. Well worth your money.

Whether new to having a pet tarantula, or a little further along in the hobby, this is a great book to have on hand. All the basic questions/concerns about keeping a tarantula are well-covered in this book. There are also many beautiful color photos of tarantulas that will make you want to keep expanding your collection! There is far less information on keeping other spiders and scorpions, but it is still very helpful if you are starting out.

Navigation is a complex topic. Presenting the history of navigation in a way that children can understand is a daunting task, but Tools of Navigation pulls it off. I can see this book being used by homeschoolers and school kids as the resource for a year long study, but each chapter would stand on its own for any interested student. A nice thing about this book is how many of the activities take place outdoors: traveling by compass, mapping your backyard, and, our favorite, geocaching. It also breaks down map reading to make it easy for kids to learn. I look forward to teaching this section to my two kids so that I'll have a couple of navigators in the backseat during car rides!

This book is titled "Tools of Navigation, a Kid's Guide to the History & Science of Finding Your Way," but this 45-year-old reviewer found it fascinating. I've always loved reading books about people who venture to the North Pole, through the Amazon Rainforest, or across the Sahara Desert, but always wondered how they did it without getting hopelessly lost. Author Rachel Dickinson sheds light on this mystery.

The book explains navigation from the Ice Age to the present, and also includes info on ancient navigators such as Marco Polo, Lewis & Clark, Robert Peary, and Ferdinand Magellan. It's very easy to understand and includes great photos and lots of fun activities, such as: how to make your own compass, go on a treasure hunt, work with topographic maps, and make a sky chart that maps out constellations.

Rachel Dickinson does a wonderful job of explaining navigation and history. It's a great book for parents to share with their children or teachers to share with their classroom. But it's also a fascinating read for anyone interested in navigation, history, and early explorers.

Dubin's lives

The story of William Dubin, the biographer, who believes all lives are ordered or at least make consistent sense, though comes to realize that it is only the biographer in him that can deliver this scenario to the lives of others but focusing in on certain chance moments in a subjects life.During a hectic year attempting to write the life of DH Lawrence,Dubin sees events and emotions slipping out of control and his idealistic view of human exsistence fall apart.
This was Malamuds great theme;how little control we actually have over our lives.Nature, chance meetings, the times we grew up in and the new ones we live in (with new sensibilities and morals) all shape us like water shapes rock, and human exsistence isn't based on permanence.
Malamud paints such vivid scenes with so few words that I will be able to picture in my mind forever William Dubins long walk route, his trip to Sweden,to Venice and his confusion in the snow. A lovely book. I enjoyed being in its company.

A strong book that engages the reader in its story as though s/he is a character. Taking you on a rather poignant journey through the seasons, not only of the year but of William Dubin's life, his stayed yet tender relationship with his wife and his fun, youth replenishing affair with the 23yr old Fanny Bick. All the time we are reminded that life is for living and the moment for siezing.

Long ago, a creative writing teacher recommended this book to me. I've finally read it, and in turn I highly recommend it. Malamud shows a mastery of prose and an immense talent for description. His passages describing the changing seasons are incredible!

At first, the author's tendency to bend the "laws" of punctuation and grammar threw me a little. The first twenty pages didn't hold my interest, but after that I adjusted to his style and grew to appreciate it. It was worth persevering.

The book tells a story that is at once absorbing, sensual, frustrating and heartbeaking. Whatever the author's intentions, I found the title character to be rather less than admirable -- and normally a book with an unlikeable protagonist would be hard-pressed to keep my interest. This one did earn my interest, and even gained moments of insight and sympathy that brought me inside the flaws of the main character and allowed me to understand him, even if I never exactly liked the man.

I recommend this book for its deep exploration of a flawed man as he grapples with love, aging, and temptation. Well done.

This is an excellent Manual for those working in the real world as PC techs. I would caution as I dont fell it may be for beginners. I think you should have a solid foundation in PC basics like I/O, Busses, DMA etc before coming to this. Some diagrams are not as descriptive as the could be. I guess I am spoiled with the diagrams in the Micheal Meyers series. However, I feel this is an intermediate book and a great reference for down road. It has been very helpful to me in studying for the exams in certain areas. There are only a few criticisms I have: No voltages on the CPU Reference charts. Also, I had hard time finding a few things like how many devices on Firewire chain and a few others critical things on the list of Objectives. I do believe it is all there but it seems like the author go's into to much time in giving overviews of the various new technologies. Things I feel you should already have a firm grasp of. Dont get me wrong this is huge manual and is packed with useful information. Many applications are covered and the OS coverage is outstanding. All in all its a great Reference.

If you want to learn about PC, this is the book for you. Have you ever gotten the dreaded blue screen of death in Windows, which could be an exception error or a Windows Stop error. This book will explain what these errors are and how to troubleshoot them. Besides going over DOS, Windows 9x, Windows NT, Windows 2000 and Windows XP, this book gives you an easy to understand yet thorough understanding of hardware and software and how to troubleshoot problems with both. It also explains the differences between all of the processors produced by Intel and AMD and explains the differences between all of the different types of RAM. In addition, if you want to pursue the A+ certification, this book has everything for you to take and successfully pass the exams and help you find the job that you want.

As you probably already know, the PC market is a fast paced, fast changing arena. The only way to succeed in this career field is to learn the basic concepts of the PC (hardware and software), apply those concepts in a real-world situation and be willing to retrain yourself often through out your career. Therefore, as a college teacher for many years and working as a PC support/network administrator person for a local college, a city hall, a computer company and a chip manufacturer, I am able to share my experiences in a way that you can quickly and easily learn the material so that you can pass the A+ PC Technician exam, get a job as PC technician and to successful troubleshoot PC problems.

Each chapter is written in an easy to read format with many pictures. To keep you updated today's issues and to show you where you can get help in troubleshooting today's PC problems, I have included many useful Internet links and have include many real-world examples. At the end of each chapter, you will find review questions to help focus your efforts and prepare for the A+ exam and hands-on exercises to reinforce and apply what you have just read about. At the end of book there are several appendix for quick reference and a handy glossary.

For now, I would like to say good luck on your current and future endeavors and I thank you for considering purchasing my book.

Okay you want to learn more about computers and how to troubleshoot them. You eventually want you're A+ certification, and you think you need to buy to book in order to do this, right? Wrong, Prentice Hall has just combine the two and Troubleshooting the PC is that answer.

Covering all aspects of the technician's world, from the sound card and modem to the memory and ports to the video and storage, as well as the operating systems from DOS, Windows 3.x, 95, 98 and NT workstation, the book is great reference. Best of all it is written to the A+ specifications.

The books includes questions, hands-on exercises, figures, tables, pictures and over 650 A+ questions. You also get appendices for A+ Objectives, Binary number conversions, POST Error codes and operating systems error codes, a virtual plethora of computer information.

The author includes a detailed glossary; about the only thing that was missing was the "standard" cd-rom with A+ questions and software utilities. Overall I was very impressed with the depth of information and the author's ability to uncomplicated the breakdown of the information.

I found it very helpful in troubleshooting a some of my friends computers and it had information that was not included in many other computer troubleshooting books. In addition, I found the book was easy to understand, it imparted a lot of 'real-world' experience and had lots of examples. Lastly, I think it gave me a good foundation, not to mention some confidence, to pursue my MSCE certification. I strongly recommend this book and is well worth the money.

This is a MUST HAVE for anyone who is interested in the weapons used by the American Doughboy during the Great War. A complete and comprehensive guide that covers everything from bladed weapons to trench mortars. I can't recommend it enough.

Like his previous book on WWII weapons Mr. Canfield has dug deep into the archives to produce another educational volume. The photos are excellent and cover the weapons with great detail and the archival photos supporting the uses and accessories are always astounding. The section on the French Chauchat Light Machinegun, considered in some circles to be the worst weapon used by the AEF forces, actually points out that a number of the problems were created by the US during the conversion of the weapon from French 7MM to US 30-06 caliber. It also covers numerous accessories and supporting equipment. This is a wonderful resource, a great addition to a military library and is highly recommended for all interested in the hobby.

Bruce Canfield is an internationally respected authority on military weaponry. U.S. Infantry Weapons of the First World War is his latest and very welcome contribution to military history. A comprehensive historical guide to all weapons carried into combat by the U.S. Army and Marines during World War I, this exhaustive, detailed, profusely illustrated compendium covers rifles, pistols, shotguns, automatic rifles, machine guns, bayonets, knives, grenades, mortars, flame throwers, and accessories. Canfield's engaging and informative text is enhanced for the military buff with particular attention to the actual roles these weapons played in battlefield combat encounters. No personal, professional, academic, or community library military collection can be considered complete without the inclusion of Bruce Canfield's U.S. Infantry Weapons of the First World War.
