My son (7) loved collecting the state quarters so now we're expanding into collecting other coins. This Penny folder was the perfect next step! He also got Dime and Nickel books from his uncle and he and his father sit around with his piggy bank going through the change to fill these books up! And they are so inexpensive, we will be getting more.

The Most Educational Book

Over the past two years I have purchased about ten Lincoln Penny folders. To fill them we save pennys and sometimes at the bank I will buy rolls of pennys for fifty cents each. My grandchildren and I spend hours searching these coins for the correct dates. They learn to identify numbers, mint marks, and I read to them about President Abraham Lincoln, who is featured on the Lincoln penny. These coin books are gifts that are never thrown away. Sometimes I wonder just how much a Wheat Penny book would be worth if my Grandparents had filled one in for me....

I've practically collected coins since I was born. Since pennies don't have much purchasing power anymore (you can't even get a piece of gum for a penny!) and are numerous this is probably the best one to start with.

This one isn't as easy as it looks to complete. You have to find several varities of pennies made in 1982. Also, the "S" mintmark coins from 1968-1974 are a challenge. And the pennies from the early Lincoln Memorial days--the 1959 and early 1960s--aren't as numerous as they used to be. Nevertheless, this will provide one with a nice challenge that will eventually grow to encompass nickels and other denominations.

This book is 'SUPER' simply put! What I love about it is that I can open the book to a theme I'm covering - for example: 'color' and my first reading is a brilliant idea that I cannot wait to try with the children. Also, the prep included for a lot of the ideas is kept to a minimal which I know all teachers love!

I stopped ordering the Mailbox Magazines only because they came out with these wonderful year-end hardcover books that contains everything from the past year. I love it!! Now instead of having the magazines laying around I have one giant book. If you've ever seen an idea, but can't remember which magazine it was in, now you can just look in the book instead of thumbing through all the magazines!! Highly recommended. Also look for other years and other grade levels. Same great quality.

Cutting edge in '99, still timeless today

This is one of the first e-marketing books I purchased when I entered the field in 1999 and it really gave me an invaluable education in online sales and marketing.

Back in the days when sock puppets sold bags of dog food online (or tried to, anyway) and gerbils were fired from cannons, Ken Evoy had a very simple proposition: if you're going to have a website, you might as well sell something. Here's a step-by-step guide to selling that something.

This book is filled with timeless tips, tricks and techniques that Ken himself has used to make money online, and he continues to use them today to sell products and to educate others. It's filled with advice on copy, pricing, positioning. guarantees... the tactics you need to know to be successful selling online.

It doesn't have fancy graphics, just a lot of screenshots and practical know-how on making sure visitors to your site actually buy your products.

Regardless of today's new sock puppets (blogs) or flying gerbils (Web 2.0), Ken's message is just as important today as it was in 1999: if you're going to have a website, you might as well sell something.

In "Make Your Site Sell", Ken Evoy explains the vast opportunities presented by the internet. The e-book is easy for non-experts to read. It is an excellent reference when I need assistance on any issue pertaining to the internet. Using the thousands of hyperlinks in the electronic book makes it very easy and convenient to get the information I need.

The "Make Your Site Sell" book explains clearly how to sell on the web. The e-book has thousands of hyperlinks to and from an extensive index, table of contents, glossary, the web as well as links within the content of the book. The author explains how to succeed in a web based venture by following three steps. The first step is the development, positioning and testing of a product. In this case, the author outlines the products with high potential for sales, how to evaluate and re-position products for web-worthiness, product pricing and testing, among other things. The second step is building a website that can be trusted and liked by customers, which is simple to use and easy to navigate and many other aspects which make it really sell. It is necessary to get paid for one's services through the web without problems. The third step is to build a high volume of targeted, motivated traffic timely, ethically and cost effectively.

Ken Evoy needs to be applauded for such a comprehensive user-friendly e-book. He is truly a "guru" for having produced such a high quality, informative and helpful book.

This Book is A Must - Read!

This story is a real page-turner, like the best mystery novels...but the story is true! The lead character tells us about a journey that can only be described as a descent into hell.

A self-sufficient woman (Adele Fraulen) had a healthy, happy life, shared with her little dog in her Florida condo. A large inheritence caused her to seek advice, starting off a series of almost unbelievable actions that caused Adele to be mistakenly declared incapacitated, lose her rights, and be be placed into a care facility, for the financial gain of unscrupulous advisors and health care workers. Only through the prolonged, painful-to-read, campaign waged by her good friends, and the eventual attention of the media, was Adele able to return home.

If you think this can't happen to you or someone you love, you must read this book now. Although I have no doubt that most financial advisors are good guys (I work with many of them and I'm even married to one!), that most health care professionals do great work, and that judges protect far more people than are harmed, this story is an important cautionary tale.

This story shows what can go wrong - even when someone has "all their marbles," and close friends for advice. The most important takeaway from this book: select financial and legal advisors only after much consideration, asking multiple references who you trust, and never sign any document under any type of pressure. Trust your gut feelings, and always bring a friend or trustworthy relative to your meetings.

One can only wonder - how many other Adeles are there who don't share her happy ending?

"Marked For Destruction" is a true story about an elderly woman, who trusted someone with her one million dollar estate. Her freedom was taken away from her. The schemes of the people who handled her affairs were outrageous. She was put in a nursing home and drugged through her food. The book must be read to find out what happened to her. Its a book that must be read by all. John Caravella wrote a great explaination of what happened.

We bought this book and like a lot of books you buy from Amazon, it can be a case of "hope it wasn't a waste of time" - this books was not - it's awesome, an absolute win. It's so much better than I thought it would be that it makes up for the "misses" we had with other books in the same shipment. It's a great snap shot of materials, their uses, examples and even rough costs of materials. If you're a designer and are wondering what material to use, get this book, it's a great step in the right direction.

It's a great book

This was the first used textbook that I purchased online. The book was in almost-new condition, it arrived within 5 days after I placed the order, AND the cost was 50% less than the used book price at my college bookstore! I'll be searching Amazon again next semester!

So often, math textbooks are beyond anyone's comprehension. Here is one book that has changed all that! There are plenty of examples and explains the reasons and theories as to why a certain math topic is solved the way it is. It also shows different ways one could solve problems!

This 6th edition doesn't have much difference from the 5th except for more on Statistics and Probability.

This book is an excellent guide for mechanical quality control inspectors. It is also a great book for mechanical engineers. The book illustrates measuring techniques in a very readable, fun, usable method, giving not only the "how" but "why" of inspection methods.

First-rate guide to GD&T for all experience levels.
Helpful Votes: 8 out of 8 total.
Review Date: 1999-05-29
The main focus of GD&T training in industry has been focussed towards the designers and draftsmen. I have searched extensively and this is the only publication that approaches the subject from the perspective of the individual who has to actually measure, report and defend his/her results. All the issues facing the observer are addressed clearly and concisely. Photographs and step-by-step instructions for evaluating all GD&T spec`s are provided. The author does not dodge anything. This book is an invaluable tool in the practicing Quality Engineer`s toolbox.
