A Great easy book!

This book contains 17 close-up, clear and current photographs of motocross riders in action. The book outlines the types of bikes used, the equipment necessary and safety measures. I feel it is a great book for a young reader interested in motocross. Although it is RL2, I would say it might be a higher reading level. There are words such as suspension, equipment and others that might be difficult for a young reader. The book is well constructed with a hard bound cover and heavy weight pages. It provides additional resources in the back via websites and other books.

Blake Coffey and Tommy are into extreme mountain biking. And in their training adventure or should I say life threatening adventure, they meet up with money (lots of it), bad guys (that want to shut them up), and a (disreputable?) sheriff. Should they keep the money? Should they tell their parents about the money? Should they tell the sheriff about the money? Read this book for the page turning details!

This is a well-written book. It's informative and easy to read, even for the layman. And it covers the main topics in the field: cosmology, stellar evolution, origin of the planets, organic molecules in space, origin and handedness of life's macromolecules, evolution and intelligent life, possibilities of life on Mars, Europa, and Titan, and extrasolar planets.

Keep in mind what this book is -- physical exercises for taking your paintball game to the next level -- and you probably be happy with it. The physical exercises are good, especially for older farts like myself! The book is brief, but the clear photos will get you off to a good start quick. This was my first experience with a publish-on-demand book and I was really impressed with the quality. Good stuff. See you on the field!

Harley and Noah, the best duo out there.

This is the second time I read this book, it's wonderful. Harley, one of the main characters, seems down played at first, because Noah is having the dreams and Noah is going nuts and Noah is losing everything, but in the end Sumner wrapps everything up perfectly. Dee, one of the other characters in the book, is remarkably lighthearted, seeing that she used to date Noah, and now Harley (Kathleen Davisidaro) is getting all the action (Though they don't even kiss, they just get thrown in a life/death adventure and spend a lot of time together). Though Unit 17 and Legion seem kind of ficticious and sketchy, everything is explained in later books. This book is wonderful, read it.

the standard for the Pisgah area

All the buzz on [..] about this book was true. It is the standard by which all other mountain biking guidebooks on the Mt. Pisgah area of the Western North Carolina mountains must be measured.

Parham's love for this area, and for mountain biking and cycling in general, are apparent in his writing. Also, unlike another guidebook that covers this area, he was thinking of mountain bikers of all ability levels when he made his choices of trails and routes to recommend. The trail reviews are arranged in a very systematic fashion, by location of the trailheads. Parham also includes other valuable information for trip planning, such as area lodging, campgrounds, and bike shops. When planning a mountain biking trip to this beautiful area, this book, and a couple of good maps, are all you need. HIGHLY recommended!

Operation Mom- Winning the Mommy Wars is such an inspiring book! As a mom who is in the trenches, it is encouraging to have some practical and helpful advice on how to get through the mommy wars. It is refreshing to know that I am not the only mom out there who experiences the ups and downs of motherhood. I love this book! It will equip us moms to be ready for any battle that we face. Operation Mom is a faith-filled book that encourages us to be the best moms we can be. It also gives spiritual insights on how to handle battles such as depression, procrastination, and balancing time with our families. Operation Mom gives excellent advice on how to manage our money and how to take care of our bodies. Operation Mom- Winning the Mommy Wars would be a great book to do as a Bible study in a small group or to do as one's own personal study. I highly recommend this book to all of you moms out there who are in, out or about to be in a battle of your own! It also makes a great gift for new moms! Enjoy!

Paradox Lost - Nonfiction At Its Best

Through a series of wonderfully presented case studies, Dr. Schenck draws one into the world of parasomnias, a burgeoning field of medicine with many interest points. The case studies themselves portray individuals who often lead traditional lives while confronting nocturnal behaviors of puzzling and often distressing natures. At the extreme parasomnias can thrust unwitting invididuals into a gray area between criminal acts and pathology. Their behavior can leave families and communities groping for answers and solutions. After years of research Dr. Schenck can guide us through this world and offer explanations and hope. Paradox Lost is a fascinating read that I recommend to all.

A rousing and true biographical account

Polar Extremes: The World Of Lincoln Ellsworth is the historic and engagingly written saga of Lincoln Ellsworth's impressive and hazardous struggle to make aviation history by flying over the earth's Poles. From his 1926 attempt to fly across the North Pole in a dirigible, to flying his custom-made plane over Antarctica in 1935 and discovering a mountain range now called the Ellsworths, Polar Extremes is a compelling biography of a daring and adventures life driven by death-defying passions. Polar Extremes is highly recommended as a rousing and true biographical account and a welcome contribution to the growing library of Aviation History.

This book was a hit with some in my classes, especially those who were interested in more active careers during our last Career Day. It helps them understand that any job, even the most exciting ones still require a lot of focus and preparation which translates to doing well in school and learning. As the S.W.A.T. movie had been recently released the subject matter couldn't have been more appealing. Even some of the girls liked it!
