Judy Bradbury has created another winner with this second book in her Children's Book Corner series. The heartwarming and sometimes humorous manner in which the stories are summarized in this book have inspired me to look more closely at some of the more unfamiliar titles. The take-home pages for parents, as well as the many other useful references, techniques and follow-up links, make this book a valuable resource for anyone who wishes to make reading aloud to children a rewarding experience.

Lottie Beth Hobbs offers help and encouragement for the Christian woman of today. Elements of a successful life are discussed with scripture references to support. Miss Hobbs presents ideas in a practical way that will hold the interest of of the reader. You can never go wrong with anything written by this sound, Christian lady.

This book is excellent. It begins in the right place, that is, by laying out the REASONS for doing estate planning for a Christian family, then discusses the alternatives available for estate planning in easy to understand language (this is probably the BEST book in the field for defining the terms in real English, rather than legalese). Then the book discusses the important part of planning: deciding what you want to do to help your spouse, children, and plan for taxes, with alternatives explained and laid out. Finally, it has a realistic discussion about lawyer's fees and how to work with a lawyer to limit them, and how to call in other advisors to do some of the grunt work

I have read newer books on chronic muscle pain and Fibromaylagia, and they get very contorted in their interpretations. Rightfully so, these are extremely frustrating conditions with no simple solutions, so it is easy to see why people want to grab on to any tangible explanation they can find for pain and fatigue.
Davidson lays these group of problems out in a very clear, uncluttered manner. You won't read this book and think "it's all in my head," nor will you read hypothesis after hypothesis about causes of these problems. You'll find clear explanations about how brain and body interact to cause a lot of pain.
Not an overwhelming amount of complicated information, but basic ways to help yourself starting now, and to see results right away if you are determined.

This is a useful book because it is so clean and concise. He presents a simple program, uses good examples from his practice. What you need to apply his program is a certain level of insight on your own responses to stress and pain, and the determination to make time and concentrate on making some alterations in your life. (relaxing and fun, stretching, exercise, various forms of stress relief).

You won't be put off by this book unless you wanted a complicated, medical explanation of some as yet unknown pathology causing your discomfort. That's not available and may never be, so you might as well start helping yourself.

then this is the book for you. a pretty good book if you want to build a cinema.

I was first given this book over ten years ago and have used mine until it is ragged. I had no idea it was still in print until this morning when I came to this web site and decided to see if it might possibly be available. I am so excited. I believe in this book so much that just a few days ago I was typing up similar pages of this prayer journal to use in my morning "quiet time" because I have no blank spaces left in the journal. This book gives you day by day guidelines for journalling your prayers to God and His answers to you. It has motivational quotes from some of the great Christian saints and scripture verses to read daily. A dear friend felt she was in a rut in her spiritual journey/relationship with God and asked me what type prayer journal I used. This is what led to my search for the book and that is why I am so excited it is still available. I haven't seen it in Christian bookstores in years. So, if you feel "lost" in your daily time with the Lord Jesus, this book is a great tool to help you renew your relationship with Him.

This was a required textbook for a class. It is so comprehensive and easy to understand and implement that I have since ordered copies for other teachers I work with. Not only will you learn about the basics of behavior management and the whys and how's of it but the author provides step-by-step programs for various types of misbehavior situations - whole class, individual, etc. All the examples have include to determine baselines, how to implement the program, when to change it, etc. This book focus' on HOW to change behaviors for the better rather than a bunch of science and yet it IS all based on scientifically proven methods. If you are a teacher and want to learn how to reduce those problem behaviors this is the book for you!

I just happened to find Dr. Dieker's plan book while reading an article on co-teaching. It is the best plan book I have ever had, and I can't believe I have survived without it in the past! There is one side of the planbook for the general educator to fill out (big ideas/concepts, lessons, assessments, and target students to focus on) - and then a side of the special educator (which method of co-teaching will be used, adaptations for her students, behavioral adaptations, etc.). It really helps to focus in on not only the lessons, but how I will accomodate my special ed students in the classroom.
