We are then given some how-to tips on directory planning and the technologies it will take to implement them as well as security and other network issues. Most helpful are the portions of the book on how applications are enabled with directories and very nice piece on meta-directories.

This book is not only helpful for the technical folks, it is a good overview of the issues around networks for management to get their arms around this very important topic.

I first bought this book after seeing it reviewed in an architure/interior decorating periodical. It contains valuable, accurate information, and I recommend it as a gift for a decorator, collector, or antique lover. I just ordered another copy, as I gave the first one to a friend who is an interior designer, and who also thinks the book is excellent. It's easy to use, and its information is extremely helpful if you are shopping in New York--it saves roaming aimlessly. I wish it came in paperback so it was easier to carry with you while shopping because it is so reliable.

Voting records and districts of the members are analyzed in this book to provide the very latest political profile of every member of the Congress and Senate.

Additionally, the book provides the latest information on the governors of all 50 states as well as the names of all the constitutional officers and the political makeup of the legislatures of all 50 States.

Even though the researcher/lobbyist or citizen owning this book will want to upgrade the book every two years to stay current, old editions of this book are also valuble as historic records on how a particular long-term member may have voted on a particular issue years before. All with an eye towards predicting how that member will vote on a current issue before Congress.

Despite the fact that most researcher/lobbyists or ordinary citizens owning this book will find it necessary to upgrade the book by buying the latest edition every two years, old editions of the book are worth keeping as historic records of how long-term members may have voted on some issue years before.

I have one of the original copies when it first came out. If you are an Alpha Xi, you need this book.

I used 'Als Planning, Implementing, and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Active Directory Infrastructure' for my test and scored high. It was a tough test but this guide does a great job of telling you what you need to know. Most importantly it covers the topics in a VERY clear and concise manner. The labs are also very well done and helpful. The separate lab/text is a great format I hope to see for all future exam books.

The book will also make a great reference after the test and is also a great book for anyone wanting to know more about AD in general. Overall one of the best Microsoft Press titles I have seen.

I am not sure of the origins of this book which first appeared in a paperback edition in either the late 60s or the early 1970sbut I am confident that they lie in the alternative culture which established itself in 'Swinging London' from the early 1960's onwards. I remember meeting someone associated with IT (International Times) and the discussion turned to the number of young people who had flocked to London in search of sex 'n' drugs 'n' rock 'n' roll but found the capital to be a more mundane and difficult existance.

I only have in my possesion the expanded 5th edition which was published in 1974 but the basics are the same. Nicholas Saunders did an admirable job in putting together what is essentially a survivor's guide to living in London on a small income. Broken down into sections each complete with it's own appendix, beginning with housing, this book is a veritable encyclopedia of things to know about to get by with no family or friends support mechanism. Also very useful to students living alone for the first time in the metropolis. It has very helpful suggestions on food and is informative in areas of sex and drugs and major community issues. It is not a judgemental book nor does it prozletyse, it is written in a straightforward, matter-of-fact style and allows the reader to make up their own mind.

One criticism is that it is written in a dense fashion with small type but that negative is outweighed by the usefulness of the content. There are diagrams and drawings aplenty and great advice all round.

Living in London in the early seventies could be a hard and difficult experience with many innocents being taken advantage of by their more worldly and experienced inhabitants. This book at least gave people a chance to survive although I suspect some would see it as left-wing tree hugging hippie stuff. Left orientated certainly. Tree hugging hippie stuff not really.

Good information, good advice and a great survival guide. In time the book would be a guide to a magazine which would in turn supercede and then replace it...Time Out. But that is another story for another day.

This book is certainly of historical interest for anyone who had some interest and/or experience of the 'alternative society' in England or inded anywhere. There is certainly a Ph. D study subject on alternative London out there if anyone is interested!

this is an excellent resource if you want to become a teacher. This book is very easy to read. It lists by state each school that has teacher certification programs. This is great if you already have a degree in something else and now decide you want to be a teacher. Most programs are shorter in length than traditional education degrees and some allow you to receive your master's degree at the same time.
Great book to help you start you search in becoming a certified teacher.

This book is amazing!If you are a graphic designer, I suggest you pick it up. It's loaded with yummy graphics, illustrations and more. A definit designer's must have.
