Another great cookbook from Gooseberry Patch. I have many of their cookbooks and love them all.

I liked this book because it was very funny. It ws about diffrent things happening in this one school

My daughter is 6 and LOVES this type of sticker book still. She loved them at 3 and still loves them at 6 1/2. And we do read them often, so they're worth it :) Your child puts the stickers on the pages. It tells you what page, but it's up to her WHERE on the page it will go. She even looks back at the books she did when she was younger and laughs at the places she put stickers :)

Great book! Easy to read! Nice pics. We are getting more of the authors books.

I really don't understand the reference some have made to the BOCs and competitive carriers and wish someone would explain it to me. What does it have to do with the FCC's treatment of telecom giants? Otherwise, a classic.

This book gives some good information on The History of The New York Black Panther Party. It is very comprehensive in its coverage of the trial and its aftermath.

"The Bug Flu" is a story from the television show in which Dragon learns a lesson about honesty and the importance of work and helping others.

When Spiderus wants to get out of work, he pretends that he's injured his left third leg. This gets the kids to help out with picking sunflower seeds and Spindella invites them to a tea party to thank them. When Dragon realizes that Spiderus was just faking, he decides to fake being sick in order to get out of having to go to the party, which everyone thinks will be boring.

Dragon is soon taught a lesson that having the "fakey flu" is the wrong thing to do. He misses out on fun and is taught that his actions hurt the feelings of others.

Another nice Miss Spider story. Dr. Bee Better is a fun character, hope to see her again sometime in one of the books. The story zips along as always and is a nice adaptation of the television story.

This is a hilarious book to read aloud to a younger child (my son is 4) or to be read independently by an older child (eg, around 7-10yo depending on ability). All Paul Jennings books are deliberately written to be accessible to children who are either reluctant readers or struggling with reading but can also be enjoyed by children who love reading. The situations certainly push the boundaries with regard to "good taste" but my experience is that kids, especially boys, love this!

"Captain Sunny Patch" is easy-reader book six in the "Miss Spider" series, based on the television story by the same name. This is a fun story in which the spider Squirt gets to fly!

Squirt has fun playing with his adopted brother and sister Dragon and Shimmer, but he feels left out sometimes because they can fly and he can't. He can websurf, but that's not enough. When they play their superhero game, "Sky Chiefs," they race ahead and leave him waiting at the edge of a dandelion field. He searches for wings, finds some feathers and becomes Captain Sunny Patch! Now, he can fly, although not very well. Nevertheless, he creates quite a stir in Sunny Patch.

Realistic? I dunno. Maybe a spider could fly if it could somehow get the notion. Either way, it's a whole lot of fun. The illustrations are bright and colorful as always. The story is very true to what was shown on television, but with some nice small changes as well. Captain Sunny Patch is a true hero in this story where readers learn that anybuggy that helps somebuggy is a hero.
