Hovercraft Books

This board book provides a nice "hands-on" learning opportunity. Kids love cars (and other vehicles) and having a story about one of their toys keeps their interest. A great series if you want more than just a toy!

This books gave me everything I needed to write my Hovercraft study project. It contains history, operating information and a great experiment to try. It made my project so easy. A one stop resource! Highly recommended.

This was informative but limited. More information on how a hovercreft actually operates could have been included. However, this is a "break the ice" article which would inform the reader the very basics of hovercraft operation.

What a great resource! I'm a novice in the world of hovercraft, and this book provided me with answers to all of my questions regarding "how it works".

Don't waste your money on this pamplet, which I basically flipped through in less then 30 seconds after receiving and read the whole thing. What a waste. Even if you are seriously into hovercrafts or just interested in starting out into the hobby of R/C, I have NO doubts that you could find better books/material that would help you more then this would. Read the other reviews and Take heed. I didn't want to give it any stars, but had to rate it 1 for review to go through. I am saying nothing else.

I have to admit that I didn't know what a hovercraft was when a friend gave this book/toy as a gift to my daughter. She loves it! She's an aspiring pilot and plowed through the book part in no time flat--especially the little action-adventure stories involving different kinds of hovercraft missions. The toy works great, no real problems. It really does glide over the ground "on a cushion of air," as long as the floor is very flat.

This book has a lot of interesting and usefuly theory on hovercrafts. Often, practical details are completely missing. The price is not appropriate to the content. I've had to go back to searching the web for the real nuts and bolts details on how to build model hovercraft. Very dissapointed.

Having become interested in how hovercraft work, the next step was to figure out how to make a model. This book provided me with everything I needed to know. And the author has a web site with kits available that I will recommend to my friends!

This book is not worth it. You could find the same stuff on the net for 200 some less. It is very informative though, so I deem my copy worthy of 2 stars.
