This book is written by the author who made RSPICE. In this book, he explains the inner workings of SPICE and what those strange spice parameters(such as ITL1, ITL2...)mean. I can say I understand and use SPICE much better because of this book. Highly recommendable!

This text, explore and discuss the geographic modeling and how it is used to improve planning by providing spatial information, and uses examples taken from real situations. The books offers a bief introduction about local decision and planning in organizations, it dicuss applications in retail planning, including a chapter that focuses on the automobile industry, health-care planning and analysis, urban and water-resource planning, and financial services. The book's uses range form regression techniques and choice models to spatial interaction models and market indicators, it may be useful to suplement a second or third level geography course to emphatize some real-word applications of geography theory. The bok is an extraordinary resourse and it is readable.

Understanding Global Markets

Review Date: 2005-11-08
International Finance: Cases and Simulation represents a new concept in finance textbooks. It consists of twenty-five innovative cases and a unique foreign exchange management simulation. The cases illustrate such topics as foreign exchange risks, long-run investments and financing, working capital management, international banking, and control and taxation. The simulation exercise, FORAD, is intended to help its participants understand the nature of international finance markets, the tasks of corporate managers who operate in them, and the language, methods, risks, and opportunities that are peculiar to them. The simulation can be implemented in either the FORTRAN or the BASIC language. -- from book's back cover

I bought this book and I recommened it to anyone who is new to Human Resource Management. The book is great and very informative. Supplement the book with other readings though since management is a dynamic area and is prone to opinions and debates.

First of all, Im using this book to complement my studies into systems thinking. It has on of the most clear approach to causlaity loops and the considerations invilved in the system diagrams. Just fore this the book is priceless. Of cotrse its dated to use with any recommended software, its 1982!! This does not diminnish the pedagogical content..

use in conjuction with " The art of systems thinking" (see my review)

for 2 years i have been searching for textbooks on artificial intelligence that contain actual skills and techniques you can use here and now. so many books on artificial intelligence seem to be all sizzle and no steak. this book is all steak.

finally i have found a book that says "this is what we know how to do. this is how it works. this is how YOU do it." the things that can be done with the information in this book are quite astonishing.

although this book is exclusively about the design and funcion of connectionist neural networks, (rather than the construction of them), the simulator it supplies is quite frankly exellent.

the book covers many useful topics including the basics of facial recognition, voice recognition, language acquisition, and prototype extraction, as well as delving into various other human cognitive process simulations such as episodal memory formation.

i think so highly of this book that i am going to purchase a second copy in the near future, just in case something happens to the first one (which is already falling apart from the amount of use its been getting).

my future purchases for artificial intelligence books will not be made from the artificial intelligence category, but rather, cognitive science, computational nueroscience, and anything written by the authors of this book (Peter McLeod, Kim Plunkett & Edmund T. Rolls).

I haven't finished it yet, but this book provides good EW background and you don't need to have a strong EE or physics background to comprehend what is presented.
