This single computer CD, with 344 pages of text, is a valuable resource for the racing historian. It contains lists of race winners and series champions for more than 50 active and defunct international, national, and regional racing series. Naturally NASCAR is prominently featured, with results from 21 series such as Modified, Sportsman, Convertible, and Busch North in addition to the three current headline series. Not all NASCAR racing series are included; the old Short Track and short-lived Modified-Special series are among those omitted. Other sanctioning bodies whose winners and champions are tallied include the AAA (back to 1927), American-Canadian Tour, All-Pro, the All-Star League for eastern Modifieds, IMCA, and USAC. Quite a few dirt Late Model tours also have results listed. This CD is not for the casual fan as it contains no narrtive text or pictures, just lists of winners and champions.

The book has several faults, no answers for questions,wrong or left out wiring diagram information. The book just does not reflect the true ASE test.

Using many diagrams and a utilitarian style, this book aims to train future mechanics. No chances are taken ("inverted" is defined) and no fact is too obvious (dipsticks are explained). The authors struggle with the science: the two contradictory conventions for depicting current flow are explained as an ongoing scientific controversy; engine oils are "distillated".

There is nothing special about the content; it follows the format of the ASE auto tech tests. The abundant manufacturers' diagrams help, but I feel sorry for anyone forced to learn from this book.

This book is part of the bilingual series about horsepower by Blazer Bilingual books. If you know a young child who loves cars there are many more bilingual fun books like this one, such as, Camionetas Monster Trucks/ Monster Trucks (Caballos De Fuerza/Horsepower), Autos Indy/ Indy Cars (Caballos De Fuerza/Horsepower), Autos Funny Cars/ Funny Cars (Caballos De Fuerza/Horsepower) and Autos Dragsters/dragsters (Caballos De Fuerza/Horsepower), just to name a few.This book is geared for the young reader, is very short and has nice color photographs. It is a "hands on book," durable and small, perfect fot children to hold and look at. It is not great for large groups of students to be read to but would be best suited for small groups. There are diagrams to help explain the parts of the car being talked about. The book is informative for the developing, curious, young, car enthusiast. Included are pictures of low riders in competitions and the various details that make a low rider look good and win. They do a good job of explaining this unusual car art form. Not a great book by any means but it would still be a nice addition to the community, school(K-6) or young families library.

A lavish, pictorial ode to the fallen 3-time World Champion, Ivan Rendall's book is the most stylish of all those devoted to the magnificent Brazilian. Like most, this one starts with the "Black Weekend" of Imola 1994, but spends as much time exploring Senna the man as Senna the F1 driver. It also features a foreword by Sterling Moss in which the great Briton declares, emphatically, "The word 'genius' is used rather carelessly these days; but a genius is what he was." A hard-to-find book, but well worth the effort!

I WANT TO KNOW HOW REPAIR THE BRAKE SYSTE

This text is a very in depth review of CAW. From it's roots of the UAW, the history of the UAW, various effects of political and economical conditions, etc. I found it highly informative but a bit of a bore to read. Easy to read terms but not for basic level learners who want to know about the CAW.

THIS BOOK DOES NOT SHOW THE CASUAL REBUILDER ANY BASICS OF REBUILDING. IT IS DESIGNED FOR THE BUILDER WHO WANTS HIS CAR TO BE COMPLETLY ORIGINAL.

The manual is okay, although not very detailed.
Some projects are even missing steps (replace the thermostat: they make it looks like it's no big deal,and it's probably not, but they don't say it's almost necessary to remove the throttle body to have better acces to the thermostat housing). Since it is a general manual it doesn't have details for each model of car that are covered.
However, it has interesting informations about maintenance etc.
The black and white pictures are fairly good, but a little color would have been even better.

I think it is an okay manual for the experienced 'Do-it-yourselfer' with several hours (years?) of backyard mechanic behind him.
For the beginner do-it-yourselfer (me), it may be a little challenging.

With all that being said, this book is probably a good buy, especially for the price.

The manual is helpful for some easy repairs performed by most do-it-yourself type fixers. It is not the complete Chevy service manual. The pictures and such were good and the walk thru on the things I needed to change or repair were in the manual and the instructions were understandable.
