The manual is helpful for some easy repairs performed by most do-it-yourself type fixers. It is not the complete Chevy service manual. The pictures and such were good and the walk thru on the things I needed to change or repair were in the manual and the instructions were understandable.

Although this says 2006, I assumed it was for 2006 model vehicles.. In fact it is not. The manual is revised in 2006... the book is OK, covers a lot of territory but not specific for the 2006 model year which is much different than the 2004/05 model years

I have a 1990 Toyota 4x4 with a 3VZ-E engine. I have rebuilt the engine and hae purchased 3 of your manuals to complete the job. the last of which is suppose to have Vacuum Diagrams. These not only are not complete but they do not show all the lines for my truck. I would like to know where I can go to get all the information I need to complete the job I started.

I would like find out if there are any repair manuals an a 1989 Dodge Dakota Sport 4x4 3.9 liter engine. Automatic transmission with overdrive. Include overhaul trouble shooting and maintence.

Good book but not if you want it for the Suzuki Esteem, check elsewhere for better info. Also, this book is way cheaper on a certain other bookseller's site.

Chilton, Leaves something to be desired when it comes to explaining where things are located!

I'd rather use Haynes

Doesn't cover the 1987 Somerset well when covering the Body, mostly the door windows and regulators.

This is the second repair manual that I purchased that covers the '66 to '77 Bronco, as well as others. The first was the Haynes Pick-ups & Broncos 1973 thru 1979, and I can say without a doubt that the Chiltons manual is far superior. However, it still tends to concentrate on the '78 and later Broncos. I have a '76, and while it gives relatively detailed instructions for the later models, it usually only gives vague instructions for the early trucks, or omits them altogether. It's a handy reference, but not sufficient for more involved work or restoration. Your best bet is still the factory service manual.

I actually needed a manual for a 1991 Pontiac 6000, but this worked for details on how to replace part of the front suspension for a relative. I thought somehow this was bigger, but is is about 6x9 inches. Make sure that you realize what changed after the 1988 cutoff date for this book. Models after that year had fuel injection, and perhaps computer changes, etc. so getting this book for a later year might not work for you, but it did for me.

This manual is much better than the Hayne's version; however, it still requires some improvement in the details. A huge improvement could be made by separating this book into several different publications covering fewer model years.
