This was a book that my Grand Daughter had searched for at length and could not find. To find it and all the others in the same series made for one very happy 10 year old. Thank you for a great shopping experience - I will be buying more in the same series so she will have the entire set.

I love it!

I was introduced to this book when I was in maybe 5th or 6th grade and I loved it then. It was a great series that I could not wait to get my hands on the next volume. Yet somewhere in the scheme of growing up, I lost track of the book and then later forgot the title. However, I was never able to forget the story, the ideas and the characters from said book. It was a great part of my childhood memories and I am stoked that I was able to find it again. I am prepared to purchase the entire series because I honestly believe that this is something worth reading again and again no matter how old one is (and I being a college student still love these books).

Amy is trying to find the answers to a twisted mystery in her life. I loved this book, it was probably the best, easy book, most adventurous book in the world. I've read the other books too and by far this is the best! Marilyn Kaye really knows how to write twisted and suspenseful children's mysteries. I would recommend this book to 10-12 year old girls who enjoy mysteries and adventure. If you like this one then you will definitely like the series. Amy is an all right gymnast that becomes perfect in one day. Amy is rocking teenager that any girl would like. I think everyone would like this if they read it. It might be able to teach mothers how to talk to their sprouting teens.

I had watched and read "Band of Brothers" many times. When I saw that 2 of the actual soldiers had written a book together, I had to have it. It did not disappoint. Being so familiar with the details of "Band of Brothers", I was pleased in how "Babe" Heffron and "Wild" Bill Guarnere were able to fill in many details not covered in the book, in an anecdotal style that makes you feel you are old friends sitting around talking. They showed the horror of war, the camaraderie, and even some humor that these "kids" shared in WWII. It is a book I will be reading over and over, I am sure.

I am a friend of Wild Bill's and have encouraged him several times to write a book or let me do it. I was thrilled that he finally did it. He is a national treasure. So much of his heroism actually came after the war and that is a little known story. This book is entertainin, enriching, enlightening. A must have for WWII readers.

I can't sing enough praise for this book.It tells the story of two men,put toghether by the Army in wartime. It starts with both their rough and tumble Depression upbringings in South Philadelphia. Two men who lived similar lives, mere blocks apart. It took a world war to bring them together.Bill Gaurnere is the toughest of the tough, and Babe Heffron was a replacement. They quicky became friends, due to both being from Philly.THe book is about their war journey, but to me its about loyalty and friendship above all else. Two men,who may have later in life, passed each other on the street, became as close as you can be with someone.Bonded in war,and remained friends to this day. They set the bar high in their tale of war and friendship. We can all learn from them,by their example. They say they arent hero's.But to me they are. They lived to go on with their lives and put the war behind them.Through it all they have remained as close as brothers.I love this book.It is a true treasure.A gift to those who want a personal account of some of the most famous battles in American history.

I read quite a number of thrillers, some with a touch of romance while some were straight suspense by different famous writiers. Glad to say FRENCH's Chasing Demons is one of the best written books I've ever read. Her writing is tight; the storyline flows making the read so pleasant and smooth. I also liked it she has short chapters giving us enough detail to bring us scene after scene without sacrificing richness of the story. (Writers who like to overload with details or unnecessary verbage should consider learning from her.)

I enjoyed this book so much that I am seeking for other of her books. Those who love fast-faced thrillers should not miss this one. It is also a page-turner too.

This book was so exciting, I read it in one day. The ending is filled with heart-stopping suspense and nonstop action and left me breathless. Others have written short summaries, so I won't take up space with that, but what I took away from this book is it's one woman's journey from an abused woman to one who turns her life around and becomes strong and independent, and along the way finds true love.

This book is well-written, with realistic dialogue, characters you love and those you hate, and a plot that flies. And a real sweet love story.

I really like this author and am surprised she hasn't made it to the NY Times bestselling lists yet.

I didn't give this book 5 stars because I just couldn't get into the characters. They were not real enough for me; not enough depth. They did not draw me in. But the book did read fast and there was enough action to keep it going. The book was predictable. It was like I new the steps that had to be taken before it could end. Overall, I think the book is worth reading but is is not the best out there.

We have witnessed first hand many examples detailed in this book, it is as if Dr. Warshak is in our home. This book provides us with insight of what to do while the target parent still has a fighting chance.

We got this book two days ago and I could not put it down. Divorced parents have an obligation to their kids to enable and provide them with easy access to both parents.

Parental Alienation is Terrible - Inaction Makes It Worse - Read this one!

Review Date: 2009-05-30
Parental warfare needs to stop. As a child custody attorney, I have said it a thousand times. As a custody battle survivor I have lived it too. Too often people simply complain and complain about all the terrible things the ex does to interfere with their parent-child relationships. An overall theme of Dr. Warshak's book is to TAKE ACTION. The difference between this book and say Alec Baldwin's, A Promise to Ourselves: A Journey through Fatherhood and Divorce, for example, is that it is completely solution oriented. Baldwin's book and the hundreds like it generally just point out how unfair the "system" and the participants of the "divorce industry" have been to them. While Baldwin's book is good, Divorce Poison addresses the best ways to help and protect the children of separation and divorce. Divorce Poison is well written and easy to follow. Almost right out of the gate the author goes into detail about some of the most common situations involving Bad-Mouthing, Bashing and Brainwashing. The chapter on alienated children is a real eye opener. This book covers it all, from the most subtle poison to the most toxic situations involving contrived abuse allegations. There are too many sick and distorted parents out there that ruin their children by dishonoring the child's other parent. In his chapter on "Poison Control" Warshak reminds us that sometimes love is not enough. Yes, you love your child, but that alone won't dilute divorce poison. This book gives the reader the ammunition to fight back. I thought so much of Divorce Poison that I referred to it in my new book, Stop Fighting Over the Kids: Resolving Day-to-Day Custody Conflict in Divorce Situations. Stop Fighting Over The Kids: Resolving Day-to-Day Custody Conflict in Divorce Situations (Mike Mastracci's Divorce Without Dishonor)

The "rules" are different in the divorce poison war! Read this book!

I am a mother who is also the target parent of severe divorce poisoning for the past eleven years. I only wish I'd come by this book much sooner! I made many crucial mistakes because I tried to play by the wrong rules!

Divorce Poison is "the Bible" for any and every difficult or tense custody divorce. It's a good reminder to all parents of the psychological devastation caused in the minds of children for any poisoning, intentional or not. And it's incredibly validating and helpful for parents who are the target of poisoning, whether mild or systematic character assassination. It is eye-opening in understanding how to combat poisoning, which is counter-intuitive to traditional methods.

Though written by a psychologist, this book is very easy to read and understand. Dr. Warshak is a good writer--very organized and user friendly in language and writing style. He is also thorough. I felt as if he touched on every angle, but it is done in such a balanced and thoughtful manner. There were some places where he could have sensationalized to try to sway readers this way or that, but he doesn't take the opportunity to do that, he just presents information very objectively.

If you or someone you know is the target (or the assailant) of divorce poison, make sure to read this book right away. The sooner the better in preventing the devastating effects of psychological poisoning! I believe this book will prevent the loss of relationship for many parents who would otherwise be clueless on how to fight this war where kids and crucial parent-child relationships are the casualties.

I left my husband almost 4 years ago when my daughter was 14 months. I chose to leave when she was so young in hopes that she'd miss some of the warring that goes on in divorce. I read this book in the first months of the separation to gain knowledge about how to help my daughter in coming years. And I'm glad I did. I credit this book with giving me the tools to keep our relationship strong and healthy in the face of some vitrolic divorce poison from her father. 4 years later, her father is actively bashing me to her - some of the things she tells me he says are infuriating. Not because I care what he says about me - but because my daughter has to hear them - they trouble her. But because I've put into practice the advice in Dr. Warshak's book, she still trusts and love me and we have a very close bond. I have just read the book again to reinforce the skills. While it's not an easy way to live...fairly stressful to constantly maintain the defenses and tools - our relationship is safe so far. And it gets easier over time. I am fairly surprised that he continues the effort but he does. I'm her mother - I have sole legal and physical custody and she spends about 85% of her time with me...his poison is strong. But thanks to this book and my love for my daughter - my love is stronger. If you're a parent - mother or father - facing this type of situation - read the book. Get it now.

I ordered this book when I was going through the worst of my parental alienation scenarios with my ex. My situation was somewhat atypical because I'm the mom and my daughter's dad and stepmother were doing the alienating. There was no court involvement because their badmouthing was done in a very subtle way and was so successful that she chose to live with them, not me. My daughter is emotionally disturbed and wound up in a psychiatric hospital as a result of our divorce. I wound up being unable to care for her alone. Eventually she refused to visit with me at all. It was a mess. This book was extremely helpful in explaining that what I was undergoing was an actual syndrome that happened to a lot of parents in co-parenting situations--and that it had a name. I sent my ex an email accusing him of parental alienation, instead of just complaining about what he said to my daughter, and it helped. I believe I scared him with the use of the actual legal term for what he was doing. I've heard from my daughter's therapist that her stepmother, who was the major alienator, has stopped badmouthing me, and as a result my daughter has started visiting with me again and seems less angry at me. Thank you for this book. It really helped.

"Driven" is, by far, the best business book written about developing a framework and executing a plan. Unlike most other business books, it discusses maximizing the intangible resources (human and creative assets) as well as the financial resources. I have purchased this book for several clients and have recommended it to dozens of colleagues. Powerful Information!

This is a wonderful book, full of practical steps to have networking work for you from the inside out.
Somewhere in the mid 1980's we stopped really working relationship based networking, and we started working , as Bob Burg so delightfully puts it in this book, credit based networking. A kind of..."If you give me a referral I'll give you one", or "you owe me from before".
And anyone who has tried that approach knows...it goes completely south after that. Well, Mr Burg's book is full of practical tips and how to's in allowing people to know you, like you and trust you. The three big keys in building successful business relationships.
I am a Regional Director for Leads Club, a referral based networking group that supports small businesses in building relationship based referrals. I completely support what Mr Burg says and have requested each member buy this book.

I was excited to get this book because of all the good reviews. It took me a week or so to read, normally I can tear through a photog book in hours. It was more of a motivational book than anything else. It gives pros and cons of being a freelance photog, or a "branded" photog. In my view the pros and cons of these certain specialties of photography was obvious. Free lance has less responsibility, and makes less money, branded photogs have more responsibility, and makes more money. It's vague and tries to motivate you, which it does, but besides that it doesn't have any groundbreaking info that you can't pick up off the internet. I was expecting more and for that reason I am disappointed. It just didn't do anything for me nor the way I will continue business. It just didn't seem to shed new light on what I already know.

This is one of those books you'll want to keep coming back to, but will end up buying multiple copies of because you will keep loaning it to your photographer and designer friends. I've just finished Fast Track Photographer and it really does live up to the press that surrounds it. Dane has created not just another book of advice and tips, but rather a blueprint for being a more successful and creative professional as well as an efficient marketer of your own unique brand. I found myself underlining passages, and taking notes in the margins of this wonderful resource. The principles are clear and inspiring, and are totally centered on what You bring to the table. Brilliant!

I bought Dane's book after hearing other photographer swear by it at a photography workshop. It was definitely not what I expected; it was better. I thought he would preach about selling your photography instead he teaches about selling yourself.

I was fast on my way to flinging my self into several of the pit falls that this book covers, that alone was worth way more than I paid for the book (I am only through the first chapter).

Great investment.

It has been quite a while since I read through the book, and I haven't felt the urge to go through it again. On the plus side, while many books on the business use outdated references and images, Fast Track is definitely written for today's photographer. I also appreciate that it is about business and not photographic technique, equipment, etc. I enjoyed reading the author's story ad even his overview of the different kinds of wedding photography businesses. What I don't love is the P-DNA concept; like any magazine-style personality quiz it presents you with a number of choices/preferences (which may or may not apply to you). I found it difficult to relate to some of the questions, which weren't always worded very well/clearly. So in the end, I ended up choosing the least false options, rather than the ones that were most true (hope that makes sense). After taking the PDNA, you get a result which is supposed to tell you what kind of photographer you are, and you're encouraged to retake it every year for $20 or so.

It might work well for some people, but even though I give Sanders an "A" for effort (b/c to my knowledge, no one else has attempted to create something like this) , I still think that the PDNA is poorly designed. I'm even not sure that it could have been better, as these sorts of questionnaires are inherently limited anyway. We're all unique. It helps to look at others' experience, but most people find success by learning from others, making mistakes AND forging our own paths--NOT by simply adopting others' techniques and business practices before evaluating how well they will work for us. For instance, Sanders really sells the idea of outsourcing many time-consuming tasks--and file processing/editing/retouching in particular--in order to focus on marketing, finding customers, etc. I think that it's wise and necessary to spend the most time on what you do best, but I don't think that everyone will need to outsource the same things. And I don't think that you're necessarily harming your business by doing your own editing or album design. In other words, you still have to figure out what works best for you, your business and your customers.

No one tool, book, seminar etc. can give you all of the answers, so I'm glad that this has been helpful to many others starting out. It did give me some ideas, and insight into different personality traits, business models, etc. But when I need to move beyond the philosophy and into the practicalities of running a photography business, I've found The Business of Studio Photography by Edward Lilley (there's a 2009 edition now) and Best Business Practices for Photographers by John Harrington to be great resources....Glen Johnson's Digital Wedding Photography is also a wonderful book about wedding photography. The Strategy Avenue program by Laura Novak also gives you some good tools when developing a vision and plan for your business.

This book is well written with indepth knowledge of the Vietnam War from the inner circles of Washington Politics, to the Pentagon to the Command Staff of the Navy's Seventh Fleet.
"Fighting to Leave" is clearly the greatest military book I have ever read.

Well, it looks like Zenith Press has once again published another, destined-to-be BEST SELLER. This time Zentith Press (ZenithPress.com) has contracted with Colonel R.E. Stoffey, USMC, one of America's most decorated combat pilots from the Vietnam Era to historically recreate his memories of America's final two years in Vietnam. Stoffey, a three tour veteran of the Vietnam War, was, in 1972 - 1973, assigned to the Staff of Admiral James L. Holloway, III, then Commander of the US Navy's Seventh Fleet.
This book is well written, historically accurate and in my opinion is the most through book ever written covering the Vietnam War Era.

"Fighting to Leave" is well written, easy to read and provides the reader with innumerable accounts of events occuring in the final phase of the Vietnam War that have never been revealed to the general public. I found this book extremely fascinating.

I purchased this book for a child not yet speaking, to encourage verbal communication. It's a visually entertaining book, and requires no interpretation or adult assistance. Can be appreciated by both boys and girls and is neither juvenile nor mature. Could easily be enjoyed by a preschool to preteen age range. Has a simple, yet pleasing format and
when read, promotes self esteem.

A book with very cool technology that's not overly-expensive = a great find! This book impresses everyone who sees it, including three of my four kids. My 13-month-old doesn't notice that the movement comes when he's turning the pages, so he's not interested for long. My other three, ages 3-10 all enjoy looking it at. My estimation is that kids age 2-6 will be most taken by it and spend a good chunk of time looking at it. We saw it at the local library during preschooler story time and then decided to purchase it.

I bought this today at a bookstore for my 6 year old simply cos I thought he would love the way the pictures moved. The words are very simple but he is at the stage where he is just beginning to read, so not only did he love the fact he could read the book himself, he loved the way the book moved, but also after each page he had to do the same actions. Just a really neat book for a child I would say 2 to 7 (or from 2 to ie beginner reader level).

This book is about a fourteen-year-old girl named Beth. Beth was sick one day in the summer, her family was invited to cookout and she didn't go because she was sick. When her family was on their way to the cookout they got in a car accident, and the whole family was injured. The family was sent to the hospital. Beth was at her house when this accrued. The cops came to her house and brought her to the hospital. They called Beth's Aunt Camille and she got a fight to the hospital. She was Beth's only relative. Beth's parents, brother, and sister ended up passing away and Beth had to go live with her aunt and her family. Aunt Camille had a daughter Beth age and her name was Terri. You will have to read this book to find out if Beth likes her new school, makes new friends, or if her and Terri get along.

The things that I liked in this book were that Beth got along great with her family, she had best friends named Teddy and Marcie, and that her aunt and uncle treated Beth with respect and gave her a lot of support. My dislikes to this book were that Terri didn't get along with her parents or anyone, Beth didn't get to see or speak to Marcie before she left, and that people bought Beth's house and they didn't tell her who it was.

Over all I really liked this book. I could never put this book down. I would recommend The Girls Death Left Behind to a girl because it has a lot of sad and emotional parts in it. I also recommend this book to a girl because the main character is a girl. The events have great details, and I hope that those of you who haven't read this book to read it.

Best book I ever read!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
