The Changing Seasons explains why there are different seasons in a very simple, elegant way. The experiments are fun and easy to do. I will be using this book to explain seasons to my elemantary grade students. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to understand why we have seasons.

Mike Mitchell has an uncanny ability to take you on a journey filled with wonderful imagery to places you do not expect. If you like C. S. Lewis, you will love Lessons in the Weather of Heaven.

Whatever the weather the stylized illustrations of Japanese artist Fumi Kosaka will bring enjoyment to all. Each of Kosaka's paintings, created with acrylics and dry brush, accompanies an easily understood poem descriptive of the weather.

John Drinkwater's ode to the sun is a happy refrain, while Aileen Fisher's "June!" presents a perfect time to go barefoot. Christina Rossetti's "Clouds" are pictured as white sheep; Margaret Wise Brown pays tribute to autumn when the leaves come tumbling down.

This pairing of art and poetry will be returned to again and again.

This is THE first systematic volume on light scattering by nonspherical particles and their practical applications. The historical foreword by van de Hulst, a legend in this area, was appreciated.

Its is up-to-date and very practical -- especially like the applications to geophysics, remote sensing, and planetary and space physics.

This is one of the best collections of information on lightning that I have found.

For anyone who is a fan of Mercer Mayer's Little Critters, this is a good book for beginning readers. And it has cute story too!

This book has a very good summery of all of the technologies used to detect wind shear. It also has detailed references to get more infromation. A must read for people who want to learn about wind shear.

Katiana, Regan , and Leah are 3 teenagers who live in California & love to surf. They go to Florida with Leah's parents to participate in a surfing contest. When they nget to florida the fist thng they do is head to surf! when they get there they fiund that the locals dont like sharing their waves. Katiana meets a boy names James who helps her catch a wave. they decide it time to stop and the two head to katianas friends. after that they all head back top the camp sight. As the story contu=inues james leads both regan and katiana on as Leah is busy with her own boyfriend. Along the way katiana meets a nice guy Francesco who who helps run his uncles water retal shop.Regan and Katiana begin to fight over james ina way. while all this is happining leah dosnt care shes bussy with her boyfriend. She is almost in her own litttle world and this is only half the book. You should go sand check it out becauswe it has drama, love and friendship and is really realistic so go and picck it up!

My kids love anything from the Magic School Bus collection and this one is especially fun. Very colorful and detailed and a good choice for young readers. This is a good book for early readers and would be about a level 2.
