I thought the book the book was great! I like the way PC and Mackenzie solved the murder. I also liked the way they got the clues and figured out who murdered Professor Dunaway. I like mysteries because they keep you wondering what will happen next and I like to try and solve the mystery myself.

This book is an excellent insider guide into both the university and the city of Saint Louis. The facts in this book are given by students, so it ultimately is the best guide into how SLU really is. I definitely recommend the book if you are considering SLU or even attending. I have learned so much about the university that I would otherwise would not have learned by reading this book. And it is by no means a boring read.... I found the university more desirable after reading it.

Growing up in a very conservative family I new little of my great uncle Alex. Just that he had been a communist and that that was why my father always argued with him. All I remebered was that he was this happy man that looked to me like a more bald version of Einstein. I later discovered this book and learned what an important and amazing man my great uncle was. If you are interested in cellular biology, jewish american history, communism in america, or the McCarthy Era, then you should read this book. It is the story of a man who was a pioneer in both biology and cancer research that was systematically fired and black listed due to america's paranoia of the time. An interesting history of a dark time in our society

It's a good book with a lot of plot... There's an underlying plot as well; But avoid Vol. 2 because it's a waste of time...

Stanford is one of those schools that just seems to have pretty much everything (great academics, great facilities, great weather, proximity to San Francisco) and this guide seems to paint the same picture. It was interesting to see, though, that most of the kids tend to stay on-campus to party and don't venture out of the city too much. Luckily, the book also includes plenty of listings for local restaurants and nightlife spots - very helpful for someone new to the city. Highly recommended for those who aren't from the area.

If you attended Oneonta, you will enjoy this book. It contains photos with captions. Tons of info! Now you can find out who Milne, Curtis and Schumacher were! Photos from every generation. I especially enjoyed the photos of Old Main which was demolished in '77 when I was there.

This book is wonderful! It details the history of Airborne Warfare from the 19th century up till the book was written. Differant chapters detail the history of Airborne Troops from differant countries which include America, Germany, British, Russian, and more oddballs. Highly recommended for anyone interested in Paratroopers.

Measured, balanced, and readable "biography" by a former student at Northwestern. Based on extensive interviews with Leopold before his death. Harper writes so that the reader feels compelled to read on.

Nicely done.
