an odd book. it only realy is a spiral bound book with a pouch of self stick googly eyes. the inside is just humourous depictions of what you could do with it. you could easily save money, but the inside is funny enough that it's worth it. though actually, these are the only self stick googly eyes available, at least that i've seen...

Bottom line: the title is potentially misleading. I feel a little sheepish admitting this, but I was hoping this book would actually tell you how to make a real hot air balloon. For $26 I figured it might (I got it for less than that used, but still...). With no editorial reviews or content info on the book, and being unable to find any other promising titles, I took a chance. But nope. Just a paper model hot air balloon. The history about balloons is concise and interesting, though. Enjoyed the reading. Have since found "Balloon Flying Handbook" by the United States Federal Aviation Administration for $19. That's more what I was looking for.

Although this may be a terrific book, it does not belong in a category with serious books on atomic and hydrogen bombs. It will be of little value in writing a high school physics paper since it is about yo-yo tricks.
Fortunately we bought one of the cheaper ones and it got here very quickly so there is still time to find something relevant to the subject matter.

I bought this book for my daughter's 7th birthday. She loves gymnastics and eagerly grabbed the book but after flipping through it quickly she declared, "Nice cover but the story is kind of boring." She would have loved more text and a more creative story.

As with all of the Instant Memories series, you not only get the beautiful layouts on high-quality printed pages perforated for easy use, but you also receive a CD-ROM with all of the pages and seperate elements presented as either 72 dpi or 220 dpi. If you like to create on the computer as well as tactile elements, you will LOVE these books.

This book in particular features busier layouts than previous editions. My favorite ones are the Anna Corba editions because they are beautiful on their own, but would work with additional elements you add. This book's layouts seemed so busy with the additional sewn adornments, I have difficulting incorporating my own ephemeria to the layout. However, as I said before, you can use each piece individually with the CD, or even cutting it out of the layout. So, even if you don't completely love the page layouts, you will not be wasting your money.

Good quick overall review of various types of musky fishing. A good starting point for the novice and part time musky fisherman. I enjoyed its layed back style but still packed full of useful information.

I bought this book for my son as he loves to tell jokes. The book is unimpressive in how the cover and interior are set up. there is no color to the pages and the pictures are not very entertaining. There were however several of the jokes that my son liked and has repeated. If you want a book that will give your young child some good jokes to tell this is a good start, however if your child is more of a visual learner this is not the best book for that.

This is a good book,which I enjoyed.It is a good buy.But I suggest borrowing it from the libary instaed of wasting your money on new books.

Good book with good illustrations, but lacking some of the important basics of segmented turnings such as: Choosing a turning tool, which type of turning tool works best for inside and outside cuts, methods of Flatening your rings, turning a vase type structure where you need to build up and turn the inside as you go. Section on building your own cutting sled needs more illustations and pictures...very vague. It's a good start for a subject that has little printed information up to now though.

I like the dummies books and I have read my share of golf instruction books. This one is alright. Nothing great and nothing lame. It does have solid instruction, but nothing novel here.
