As we mark the 30th anniversary of Title IX of the Education Amendments we take notice of its impact on the number of girls and women now playing team sports. The opportunities for girls and women to compete on the playing fields have increased greatly in the last years. Well writen book on pocket billiards or Pool. Shows how to from the most basic to very complicated trick shots.

I just wanted to say that I bought this book yesterday, and I LOVE it! It's got cool recipes for making homemade facials and baths, and lots of beauty tips. I don't know if they work or not, but it's still fun to do them. The bratz are so cute! And this book is awesome! I looked at the other Bratz books and they didn't really appeal to me--so I don't just go buying everything bratz. I just liked this book. So, if you like CUTE beauty books with simple and fun recipes--go get it!

My son is 8. He's addicted to video games. But when he's grounded, he's not allowed to use them. I have despaired of finding any activity that interests him as much as Mario games on the Wii...until his 8th birthday party, when a friend gave him this Quick Flip Books project as a gift. He has spent the last three days working on this, with only brief interludes to go play outside or whatever. Video games have not been touched! He's obsessed with the flip books and I only wish there were more (different) flip book project kits like this one. It's a real winner.

I have checked great numbers of these sorts of books out of the library and often find them to be disapointing, oversimplistic, or impractical. This book had a nice collection of games, rhymes, and craft activities, and seems worth the purchase.

This little book is great for young children to learn about Egypt. I teach art and intend to use it with 2nd graders. My state requires that this grade level learn about Ancient Egypt and I believe that this will be a great addition to other materials that I have. I have used his other drawing books with kids for years and they love them!

Nick Weall writes the definitive book on sail and boat tuning for the racing r/c yachtsman, with much information on race tactics and current rules to help you become a better skipper and race winner at all levels from club racing to world championships. Essential reading for the r/c yacht sailor.

I just bought the book and normally with (ANY) book I read, Especially HOW-TO books such as "Secrets of Surf Fishing at Night" I will just flip through and only read what interests me.

I read the Preface and before I knew it I was 33 pages into the book reading everything and a few times even re-reading paragraps just to make the info SET-IN.

A nice feature in "Secrets of Surf Fishing at Night" is that at the end of each chapter there is a numbered list to recap everything you just read. You could simply list the recaps as reminders while you are out fishing at night!

An excellent book for beginners and those wishing to learn how to sew activewear. Does not offer patterns, but provides detailed steps with photographs on how to measure, fit, add finishes, zippers, supplies, etc. Easy to follow and helps build confidence.

This book is perfect for the home sewer who wants to sew functional outdoor wear that has all of the professional looking features found in store-bought garments. The author discusses ALL of your fabric options; although many of them I have not found in retail locatios, I found the information very interesting. The book is written from the standpoint of altering ready-made patterns, so if you expect this book to cover every step of the garment construction, you will be disappointed. The photos and illustrations are thorough, clear and abundant.This book de-mystified a lot of techniques I never even thought possible for the home sewer. However- this book is not for the faint-of-heart: the techniques can be labor-intensive, but to me the results are worth it. There are plenty of fashion and embellishment ideas in this book, but I mostly bought it for the technical information, which takes into account weather, wear stresses and movement. With this book I improved upon the standard hunting gear patterns I had been making for my husband, and you almost can't tell that they are not store bought. I would recommend this book to someone who has sewn several projects and is comfortable with the basic construction process, but ready to move on to more custom, functional and professional looking garments.
