This really is a super cookbook. Great recipes and clear instructions. Nice little history of Western Colorado in the front of the book. I particularly enjoy preparing the "Egg Dishes" and the yummy cookies from "The Cookies Jar".

This is a fantastic book. Lots of great recipes with new adaptions to ones that have been around for awhile. Using a different spice or combining of various ingredients gives news twists to old standbys and favorites. I am an avid reader of cookbooks and don't have that much time to cook now that my family is grown and left the nest, but with this book, I am very anxious to get back in the kitchen and create some new and exciting things. Cookbooks by Jr. Leagues always have some of the very best recipes and this one is certainly no exception. Highly recommend whether just for reading, or looking for something new and different.

I love cookbooks and own a lot of them. I bought this book two years ago and have given many copies as gifts to peple who like to cook. My family loves the recipes. We made some of the recipes for my niece's wedding brunch in Denver last year and the guests raved about the food. The recipes and instructions are well-written and the results are great.

I love this Cookbook!

Of all the regional cookbooks I own, this is one of my favorites! This cookbook has great suggestions for things to take to different gatherings from Gold Cup Horse Races to Neighborhood Picnics. I especially love the tips and suggestions at the bottom of the recipes. So far, I have tried about 20 recipes and all of them have been fabulous! The recipes are clear and easy to follow. This book is a necessity for delicious homemade treats to impress your friends. It also makes a great bridal shower and teacher gift.

Kudos to Bill Lyon and Cynthia Zordich on a job well-done. A must-read for any football fan or even those of us just dealing with life's transitions. I hope they consider doing another editon featuring more players and their stories. OUTSTANDING!

This book is very accurate description of the first 100 years of baseball in the U.S. THe book follows the major leagues in incriments of 10 years up until 2000. Moreover, the book adds important information about how important times in history effected the game. For example- racism and the depression of the 1920's. This book is a MUST read for any serious baseball fan or "history buff."

This book is a great review of the first century of major league baseball. Not only is it extremely accurate, but it shows how baseball changed due to the problems facing the U.S.- ie the depression and racism. This is a must read for any baseball fan.

A bible for amateur radio operations and basic electronics.
Helpful Votes: 2 out of 3 total.
Review Date: 1998-07-15
This is the most comprehensive handbook available for the radio amatuer operator and others interested in practical applications of electronics. It's coverage of basic electronics is easy to follow and very readable. It should be on the bookshelf of every amateur radio operator, those studying for FCC licenses exams, and the casual reader interested in learning more about electronics. Pojects include those that can be built in one night and more complicated ones. This is the handbook to have for electronic foumulas, equipment construction, antennas, special operating modes, and every other aspect of radio communications.

The bible for the amateur radio operator.

This handbook, annually revised, is simply the best ever. The handbook covers basic electronics in detail in a very easy and understandable manner. All the information, graphs, tables, and formulas needed to construct and operate a variety of radio gear are well presented. The latest computer, SSTV, VHF/UHF, and data modes of transmission are covered in detail. A must text to aid your study for amateur radio FCC tests and operation of your station when licensed or just learning more about electronics.

Standard Repeater Reference, but PRICE IS WRONG!
Helpful Votes: 0 out of 0 total.
Review Date: 2008-08-01
This is a very basic reference book. There are really 3 major sources of repeater information: the ARRL books (this is available in a mini version also), ARRL's Travel Plus software, and the web. Although I tend to go to the web for the most up-to-date information, having a book on-hand is convenient when sitting down to plan which repeaters to use for, say, an upcoming trip. It's also handy to keep in your car (though the mini version is better for that).

The price as listed is incorrect. Hopefully Amazon will correct this. If not, you can find it properly priced at Ham Radio Outlet, AES, or other businesses serving the Ham Radio market. I believe Amazon will price match anyway if you call, however.

Wrong price listed (charged) on this and associated sites

The price on the cover, and the ARRL website, is $15.95. Since I cannot find any way of contacting Amazon with this information I am leaving it here as a review. If you paid over $30 for this book you are due a refund. I also don't understand why the used and new prices from other sellers are also so high. You can see the correct price either by zooming in on the cover, or visit the ARRL website here: http://www.arrl.org/catalog/?item=9914

Andy does a great job of capturing the essence of the World Cup in his book, 23 Days in Korea. The book was very easy to read (I actually finished it in one night) and brings back some of the greatest memories for any US soccer supporter. For anyone wanting to add to their collection of memorabilia, or simply get fired up for the World Cup in 2006, this is a great book to have. Well done Andy.

I met Andy over in Korea and he perfectly captured what it means to be an American Soccer fan. For many of us who attended the world cup, it has been difficult to share that experience with others because few words can adequately describe the passion that was shared amongst the Yanks in Korea. This is a great read for anyone who has fallen in love with the beautiful game and is a must read for anyone who was in Korea.

This medical suspense is a real thriller! The author, Dr. Rob Litman really captures the reader's interest by defining the characters and bringing the reader into the story to make the reader feel as if they actually are involved in the story. It is creative and a real masterpiece! The entire story is brought together in the end where you are left sitting at the edge of your seat from the fast-paced medical thriller. I highly recommend this well-written novel! Definitely one of the best I've ever read.

The Radio and Electronics Reference Manual
Helpful Votes: 29 out of 30 total.
Review Date: 2001-01-18
The 2001 edition of The ARRL Handbook is the latest and most up-to-date version of an excellent reference book for both the Amateur Radio operator or anyone interested in RF engineering. The Handbook contains information on the basics of radio operation and practices and detailed information for the RF engineer needing to know technical component details. The ARRL has again designed a wonderful book that will provide information for all levels of hams. Information on the new HF digital modes is provided, as well as the old standards of voice and CW. For those wanting to know the theory behind the radios, the ARRL focuses on the technical details - the how and why - of the radios and the modes, so that when you walk away from this book you will know the answer to your question (and a lot more if you keep reading!) The only real negative comment on this book is that there is a LOT of very technical information. This can make finding exactly what you want to know a challange, as it takes a little digging and knowing exactly what you are looking for. A very complete index does make this much easier. However, for the beginniner this book would do well to whet your appetite for venturing deeper into Amateur Radio, and for the master RF engineer this book serves well as a very detailed technical reference that can aid in every day engineering questions.
