your books are very well written, and i would like to know when your next book is going to be published.i am talking about who scored the first goal in Toronto at maple leaf gardens.

This book is about a girl's hockey team that goes to Miss WestMisent's Fine School for Girls. It starts out when they are on the bus and Miss Westmisent is taking the hockey team to the game in Buffalo. When they get to the airport they get on the wrong plane and go to Moscow, Russia. They meet a Princess named Anastasia. She has a Ukranian Egg with her. The story goes on from there.

It is a really good book for kids. I read it in the fifth grade and liked it a lot. I would recommend it to all my friends.

I get these for my husband! He loves them! He is a hockey pplayer and he enjoyed this one!

Very informative, updated, and containing full-color photos of past and present US hockey players in the NHL. Great chapter (Chapter 12) on USA Women's hockey - in preparation for the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics.

During the 70s I was a rabid New York Ranger fan and hated the Broad Street bullies with a passion. My biggest thrill was seeing Dave Schultz get his clock cleaned (which unfortunately didn't happen too often). Consequently I approached this book with a little trepidation since I was expecting a Stan Fischler type of read promoting the Flyers as a flawless group of men who put everything together for a few years and then rode off into the glorious sunset. This book is anything but that. The players and their coach are exposed with all their warts. Divorce, death in the family, alcoholism, depression and getting screwed by the organization are shown to be every bit part and parcel of the NHL player as they are the man on the street. I came away with a new found respect for these players who for years represented for me everything that is evil in the National Hockey League. (The exception being Bobby Clarke who proves what a jerk he is by freely admitting that he intentionally broke the ankle of a star Russian player just to get him off the ice).

Highly recommended for hockey fans who fondly remember this era of slam-bang hockey without face shields and few helmets.

this book is a kids book but it is probably the only book that is devoted entirly to the capitals history it tells mainly of the history of the caps many playoff defeats and their horrible first years of existents and the book ends in the year 1995 this book is good for the young caps fan in your family or the die hard caps fan like me

The book Wayne Gretzky "The Great One" is about a boy that grows up in Canada. He played in the WHL for the Soo Sault Marie Grey Hounds. Then he got drafted by the Edmonton Oilers. After 4 straight seasons they won a Stanley Cup. Then he got traded to the Los Angeles Kings. When he was in Los Angeles they won 3 Stanley Cups. Then in a few years he got traded to the St. Loius Blues. He didn't like it in St. Loius, so for the first time in his career he was a free agent. Then the New York Rangers wanted him, so he went to New York. In 1998 he retired from New York. He is still living in New York. He has 3 children. I nomiate this book to who ever likes famous athletes.

An easy to read and interesting account of Gretzky's career. He is truly a hero and this book really tries to capture his spirit. This book is appropriate for hockey lovers of all ages - I bought it for my 11 year old son and found myself enjoying it immensely. The photos are fantastic and there are many of them. This book is great for any hockey player or coach and ours is kept on our coffee table.

THIS A SHORT BUT INTERESTING READ COVERING MANY OF THE PLAYERS THAT HELPED MAKE THIS STANLEY CUP POSSIBLE. FROM BOBBY ORR TO PHIL ESPOSITO AND MANY OTHERS THIS IS A GREAT AND EASY BOOK TO READ. FOR ALL BRUIN FANS. ALSO HAS SEASON SCORING RECORDS, SOME GOOD PHOTOS AND MANY STATS. WELL WORTH IT.
