The Only Shopping Book You Need

I read this book about 4 years ago; what a read! I remember that my grandfather used to tell me some of the things James mentions (bargining techniques, etc) and not fully 'buying into' what was being said. At the present time, I'm using James' tips on a continual basis in my daily shopping expeditions. Additionaly, being that I recently moved; the information within this book will help me get great deals on everything I will need to furnish my new living space.

Mr. Paris presents an easy-to-read book that shows anyone how to make the most of thier money. Keep in mind, this book was not created to 'be cheap for sport'; but to free-up money that can be used to glorify the Kingdom of God. James takes every major spending category and creates tips and techniques that will help you achieve your dreams on a limited budget.

Purchase this book and save today. Highly recommended!!

We love David Alder at our house. He is the author the the Cam Jansen Series and lots more. My son who is 7 and I read this book together at the library.

It covers all types of money and money terms. Very educational. My son was surprised to learn that there was a time when no one needed money. Hard for kids to think about that concept in today's world!!

In this book, Amelia really reminds me of myself when I ever find something I want to buy but then later think why I ever bought it! This book is great for people who want to earn money and then decide which is actually something you want to spend it on. All the Amelia's Notebooks were great, but this is the best ever!

Usually figuring out my finaces is such a hassle, but once I read Mr. Johnson's book, I found an easier way. It was so simple that I was surprised how easily I was able to implement his system. The book itself was a quick read filled with lots of tips. I am able to reference individual chapters easily and the included disk helped me put my finacial fears to rest. I was able to see how I could realistically pay for my son's college tuition. Highly recommended!

Great Book - Editorial/Book Info correction
Helpful Votes: 0 out of 0 total.
Review Date: 2008-09-04
Comprehensive, detailed monograph for the student, professional, etc.
Note: Book Info above states "CD-ROM included" but mine did not come with one, there is no referral within the book to a CD, and standard bibliographic descriptions (WorldCat, Lib. of Congress) do not include any reference to a CD. I think the Book Info statement is incorrect.

Architectural Lighting

This is an excellent book. It provides a comprehensive overview while supplying specific design applications on the topics of natural and electric lighting. It illuminates many technologies and design principles with straight forward language and clear reinforcing graphics.
I teach architectural lighting at the School of Architecture at the University of Hawaii. I have reviewed many lighting books for this class and have found the Egan and Olgyay text to be very appropriate for the beginning and advanced student as well as a very useful desk reference for design proessionals.
