I think that this book can be very helpful to any writer that wants to sell his/her book. I am using several of the ideas that I recieved in the book to sell my book 31 Steps to Your Millions in Antiques and collectibles. it has increased my sales. Daryle

I've never read a more informative book. It not only points out what you should do to promote, it actually gives you the tools to do it. Both phone numbers and websites that will really help you. It is the first self help book that doesn't tell you what it is going to tell you, IT JUST TELLS YOU. How novel. It will take me weeks to implement all the information, but each step is clearly presented. If you write to sell you need this book as flowers need rain.

through the self publishing process of my new book. More than a notion, self publishing is very rewarding but extremely time consuming, and SUPER hard work. I thought writing the book was hard. Ha! That was the easy part!!! Thank goodness I bought this book, as its given me many great ideas for marketing and promotion. Do you know when you should start marketing your book? Marilyn Ross does, and in "Jump Start Your Book Sales" she reveals the answer. (Hint: It's before you start writing it!)

Before, during, and after -- in fact. Regardless of where you are in the writing and publishing process, book marketing should be at the forefront of your thinking. Is your book even marketable? What is the market? What length of book are those people used to buying? Why would they buy yours instead of (or in addition to) all the other similar books on the market? What will differentiate yours? These are the kind of questions you should be asking yourself even before you put pen to paper, or fingers to keys, as the case may be.

These strategic concepts are the bread and butter of the pages comprising "Jump Start." Don't be surprised if you find meat in the middle that you can really sink your teeth into. This isn't another rehash of duplicative information available for free from countless websites. This is the real deal, written by the co-founder of the Small Publishers Association of North America. Can somebody please clone Ms. Warren? We can all benefit from her in-dept knowledge and experience of mortgage issues, not to mention making a perfect life-coach. Being that I'm a novice in the mortgage world, she has illuminated all the tips and tricks of securing the best mortgage for the money. This is fair-warning for people who don't buy this book before they take their first mortgage or even re-finance. You *WILL* be sorry!

This is a great, highly readable and very informative book for anyone looking to buy or refinance a house. The take home message is that your mortgage broker is in the same category as your car salesman, except that your home will cost at least 10 times what your car will cost. You can't afford to go into the process ignorant or you are a sitting duck.

My only caveat is that there are a few missing pieces about how to translate the YSP percentage into the mortgage rate effect - how much, exactly, does a 1% YSP increase your mortgage rate? A little more explanation would clear that up.

In addition, this book badly needs a second edition. It was obviously written either before or just at the start of the recent mortage/foreclosure debacle. She never talks about the effects of the current tight credit market on a consumer's ability to borrow and what fees might be charged and how much you can actually negotiate today. Her FICO scoring categories, for example, are very out of date. Also, I know that there has been some crackdown on the mortgage industry, and some of the practices she mentions may have been actually made illegal, or at least come under more scutiny, but I'm not sure which ones. An update here would help.
Overall, this is a great book. You will get your money's worth and much, much more.

Michelle Singletary recommended this book in the Washington Post. It's clearly written, full of very useful information, and fun to read. I only wish I'd had it before I signed the loan contract. But, no worries, an email to the author, a quick reply, and I received more valuable advice. Don't get a home loan without reading this book first.

This is a great book for anyone thinking of taking out a loan for a home or home equity. This book can literally save you thousands of dollars and give you a good working knowledge of the mortgage industry and all the scams they run to drive up their profit at your expense.

Unless you work in the mortgage industry yourself this book is a must read before picking up that phone and calling a loan officer. Even if you have had gotten loans in the past, this book will be the best guide through the, at time seems mysterious/dark, mortgage alley. It is everything you will need to know to ensure and feel confidence that you have gotten a good loan. And that's big for me, to know and be able to sleep at night on a relatively big financial decision. ALL your questions will be answered in this one book. It is all collected and packaged for you. Why spend hours to search online, browse numerous websites and collect this valuable knowledge? It is all right here! It was an easy read too! I personally read it like a novel, the next page seems to answer exactly what I was about to ask. Please read, learn and be a savvy loan consumer for you own sake. It will save you and your loan officer a lot of time, grief and MONEY when you guys are speaking the same lingo.

Now I'm convinced.

After reading this book, my main concern was "can I do this". After reading, I'm not only excited, but truly convinced that almost anyone with a brain can do what the book reveals.

I just finished reading the book and I'm beyond stunned! It's undoubtedly the most actionable, simple, surefire program I have ever seen. You could not pay me 10 times to give it back!

I read so many books on breaking into the adult film business...I even spent $1,297 on this course from www.adultfilmmaking.com, the "only" online adult film school, which was a total rip off. This book by Ray West and one other one that I downloaded off the internet for $80 have been the ONLY two books I've read that actually give legitimate, usable information on how make money in this business. I don't understand the negative reviews on this book. Yes, the book has grammical and spelling errors but if readers aren't able to overlook that for the information it offers then they probably should stick to their 9 to 5 job anyway. If you're interested in getting into the adult business profitably and successfully, you need all the resources you can get. This book is one valuable resource to get you started. If you're a bible-thumper looking for ways to condemn this industry then you're probably the ones who are degrading the content of this book. Why waste your time? Get this book if you want to make money in this business.

The book was great to read and very informative. the speed of Delivery was also a plus. It was at my door with in a week. can't complain about that. GOOD JOB!

This book was a blast to read. I heard about Ray West from a forum as being a guru to adult film making. After reading, I know why! Eventhough his book is 2001, I am going after his new stuff. I just can't imagine as a film maker how much fun this book has brought to my life. Ray West, you are a true genius.

All CD I purchased is in good condition also the music of soft voice even I do not understand the Language mostly Africa Rythem and Jazz of Paul Hadcastle.

I read this book in two sittings, taking down notes on the type of investment plans that should work better for me and referring to my Quickbook file to see if I was saving the right amount (I wasn't). I love the tone of the book as you share financial knowledge in layman terms without condescending and making reassuring comments for those of us who might have made a couple mistakes along the way. On My Own Two Feet is an inspiring guide for women of all ages to understand and get control of their finances. This book is a joy to read and after reading each section I was eager to implement Thakor and Kedar's ideas immediately for my own personal finances. I ordered Personal Finance for Dummies several years ago and it remains on my book shelf collecting dust. Not so with On My Own Two Feet; it is a guide that I consult and use often. Thakor and Kedar have included many useful tables, examples and summaries. When my younger sister called me the other day wanting to buy a new car; I consulted Thakor and Kedar's table "How much car can you comfortably afford?". It turned out she couldn't afford much, so she decided to keep her current car. I wish this guide had been available when I was fresh out of college; every young woman deserves to give herself the gift of financial freedom and On My Own Two Feet provides a great roadmap to get there.

I absolutely LOVED this book. I saw this book in my community library a few months ago, and liked the cover, so I decided to check it out. Little did I know it would change my life! It changed the way I looked at budgeting, and taught me many different things--HOW to save your money, WHERE to save your money, and WHEN to save your money, among other things...and made it all easy to understand. I am 16 years old, and am going to college next year, so this book will be a great help to me, especially in the budgeting area. This book will be a lifetime finance companion for me! =)

This book has been life-saving to me. I'm from a surface-affluent (actually financially volatile) family, and nobody ever taught me anything about personal finance except to pay bills on time, use credit cards "wisely," and save when I can. It wasn't enough, and I made choices based on perceived (and sometimes actual) needs that put me in a hole I was too embarrassed to talk about and too ignorant to save myself from. When I saw this book last April, I was instantly drawn in by the introduction. The clear, positive, and straightforward advice empowered me. I now have $4000 in savings instead of $4, my credit card debt is down from $14,500 to $8,500, I am saving for a down payment on a house I can comfortably afford, and I am contributing to my employer-sponsored savings plan for retirement. In short, I am on much more solid ground. I can even navigate [...] with reasonable confidence! Every woman should buy this book. Even if you think you know it all, but it: there are true gems here. And if you have never thought much about personal finance, DEFINITELY buy it for yourself and any woman you care about!

This book was produced by alleged channelling. Personally, I don't take much stock in this sort of belief system other than it being one meditating and getting answers from within...the source of the where is dubious at best. That being said, there is interesting information given within the pages.

If you think positively and do what you like, the money will follow. I think positively and do what I like. I earn less than $10,000 a year. Am I happy? I love what I do. I wish I earned more, but wouldn't trade what I do to make more money in doing something I hate.

My husband hates his job. He works hard and worries a lot. He makes $40,000 a year.

All my friends, and by all I mean 100% of them, who are into the thought-produced method to wealth is guided by postive thinking make less than $25,000 a year. My wealthy friends, those who make over $100,000 a year are professional lawyers and doctors who work very hard and love what they do in fields that are known to be well-paying.

By discounting the importance of money and focusing on service, the theory is the money will follow. Some people do this and run successful businesses. Some who do this will make less than normal for the job. Most people who do this will earn the typical of what they do anyway for doing their job. Whether you read this book or not, you will fall into one of the laws of averages.

I know someone who works at a shelter soup kitchen who loves what he does, but doesn't get money for this job. He lives a hand to mouth existence.

Another person I know is a single father who does the type of work he enjoys just so he can be with his children. They scrap by on welfare most of the time.

However, if you want to feel happier about giving your best at what you do and making your life in general easier by not worrying about the money (or lack thereof), then by all means read through this pep rally book. It is a good philosophy to live by and I would recommend this one over The Secret.

Give all your best to others and the odds that you will have something positive come back your way are great. It might not be money. It could just be good feelings. If you can be happy with that, more power to you. On chance, maybe you will hook up with a connection that can guide you to the wealth you want...but statistically, how many really get that lucky?

If you are thinking of getting this because you believe by manipulating your thoughts will draw riches to you without you doing anything else, then you will be disappointed. You must give something to receive something.

Meditation in general is a good way to focus on all of your options with a clear mind to help you decide a better path in getting things done. If your mind is clouded with worry, you tend to choose the less productive options and run into limited ways in dealing with problems. If anything this book is good at helping, it is to find a simple way to meditate.

Sorry to burst your bubble if you were expecting me to tell you this book is the key to your wealth. I won't. It is a good book filled with positive thoughts, I won't knock that, but it won't get you rich unless you do something that merits wealth.

I love Sanaya Roman and Orin. This book is my number 1 recommendation for people wanting to understand the Law of Attraction and how to attract abundance in their life. I first read this book 20+ years ago and still think it's the best. I use the techniques and tools for creating my own abundance. I know they work.

I was recently organizing myself when I came across this book. Creating Money was one of the first books I read when I was blessed with the ability to communicate with Spirit. This particular book gives thoughtful concepts and meditations that truly help you to magnitize the positive things most of us want in our lives. For me, it is the perfect companion to Sanaya's other books. Creating Money is very straightforward in relaying the simplicity of visualizations when used for your higher purpose. I am in the midst of reading it again, as nothing in life happens by accident. Jim Fargiano, author of The Spoken Words of Spirit: Lessons From The Other Side

This is one of my favorite books of all time. I've read many books on manifesting, magnetising, prosperity, spirituality - and this book incorporates all four in a very cohesive way that makes sense.

Whereas some books lean towards more on the "spiritual side of abundance" rather than the "money aspect" this book doesn't lose its main subject "money" which I found very satisfying. Also, some authors focus mainly on "deblocking" and "resolving money-related-issues and feelings" which I personally believe only gets you to the "zero state" (you've just gotten rid of a problem, but you haven't become "much richer"). This book has exercises that helps you to magnetize clients, a number of customers, and a sum of money which I found very helpful.

Bottomline is that the book delivers what the title suggests.

I have several books by Sanaya Roman, and the other books are focused more on spiritual aspects, but this one really does a neat job of talking about money, about creating money.

In terms of "immediate results" this book comes second to another book I have written by Babaji (sp?) but I still find myself reaching for this book over and over again, especially when I am in my "entrepreneur mode" of thinking.

I've been looking for a book like this one for over 5 years, and I finally found it. I've believed for a long time that the same ability that allows us to heal ourselves of physical ailments without use of medicine or other physical treatments must also make it possible to "heal" our financial lives. I've found many self-help books that are aimed at helping us improve our financial lives, but they're all based in and limited to conventional financial techniques. I've read dozens of books on "how to improve your life using spiritual techniques" ... and while many of them get into considerable depth on exactly how to use such techniques to heal relationships, physical problems, etc., none of them has ever devoted more than a brief chapter or two on what's really required to use spiritual power to heal our financial lives. I was beginning to think that such a book had never been written.

Then, a couple of weeks ago, I got past some of my own emotional baggage about money. Those of us who consider ourselves "spiritual" often have issues with having, saving, investing and just enjoying money. Many of us were taught that the love of money is the root of all evil. Well, once I saw and really let go of my own issues about wealth and allowed myself to see that it's just another form of benefit we're meant to enjoy in this life ... the next DAY ... this book crossed my path. And it's EXACTLY the book I knew somehow in my heart HAD to exist.

As my partner and I read this book together, we kept stopping to say to each other "this is just EXACTLY what we've been looking for."

The power of Love ... our spiritual power to create all and only that which benefits us and those around us ... can be used to create the wealth and prosperity we long for. As we read the chapters of this book that walked us through the "how to" of creating wealth, it mirrored our own instincts about the subject so perfectly, it was as if the book had been written for us. Written in 1988, on one level, I can't imagine how I never saw this book before. But I know that my own issues about actually EXPERIENCING ... HAVING ... ENJOYING money fully ... kept me from finding it. As soon as I was ready, POOF ... the book appeared in my life.

What does this book teach, in general terms? #1 - That as a spiritual being, you have the ability to create unlimited benefit in your life ... and that includes financial benefit. #2 - that the way to create that benefit is not through hard work, worry, greed or worldly risk. #3 - That the path to creating completely beneficial wealth ... wealth not only in terms of money but also in terms of free time, spending your time doing what you enjoy most and what benefits those around you most ... in ALL forms ... lies in taking personal responsiblity for the thoughts and feelings you have within yourself about prosperity ... and activing taking steps to change those thoughts and feelings so that you use your spiritual creative power to bring into your life the wealth you want. #4 - That it's not only POSSIBLE to experience the abundance you want while doing with your life what you really want to do most ... doing what you love most is essential to opening yourself to the abundance you have the power to draw into your life.

Easy to read, logically put together, the authors do a wonderful job of showing us exactly what we need to do to learn to use our spiritual power ... the miraculous creative power of love ... to experience total financial healing. They present a book in some ways similar to Louise Hay's books on healing your body and life through the use of the mind and heart. But where "Heal Your Body" focuses on using love and the power of our thoughts and feelings to take responsibility for transforming our physical health, this book does something similar in the real of finances, and it does a wonderful job.

I just purchased and read this book in the past few days ... I'll keep you posted on the real world results as they develop. But if my experience using this book is anything like my experience using the writings of Louise Hay, our financial challenges should soon be as much a thing of the past as are my old ulcer, knee problems, hyper-acidity, chronic head and neck aches, tendonitis and coutless other problems that used to plague me that are now completely gone.

This book goes into detail about the mystical FED. It confirms things you suspect and things you have concluded, but never talked about. I enjoyed this book and think it would benefit anyone to read.

Yes, OMG! What an education. We really are a nation of financially uneducated, brainwashed, sheeple. This book makes it perfictly clear why today's world and economic events "are as they are", and where we are headed as economic surfs. This book is clear and easy to understand. It should be required reading for everyone. Buy this and read it, you will be furious at our government leaders and want to know more about how all of this very real world wide economic fraud will chage your life. Follow the Yellow Brick Road!

You will need a spare copy, and perhaps more due to the overwhelming desire you will experience to spread the message of this book upon reading it. This urge became overpowering to me in the early chapters, and still remains as my original copy is out on loan.

The truth that is exposed by Ms. Brown is beyond a call to action, or the most powerful civics lesson you will ever come across. The story here, masterfully told, lies at the very heart of the concept of freedom. Inane acceptance of the status quo will most certainly lead to the end of the freedom experiment. It is evident that our Revolution was never won, and that the powers of despotism, oligarchy, and plutocracy live on, confident that we all have become weak in our collective ability to discern truth in a world of smoke and mirrors. This weakness has been enabled by those standard human frailties; greed, self-absorption, apathy, and of course ignorance. All of these deficiencies can be reversed, some reversals more painful than others, and they must be if we are to dig ourselves out from our present state of affairs. The course of correction requires tools, and first on my list is "Web of Debt".

I feel a deep sense of gratitude to Ellen Hodgson Brown for taking on this subject. It is not the fast track to the best seller list, and there will be no invites to appear on Charlie Rose. This effort expresses a powerful desire to put light on truth, and in so doing send a line of hope to the embattled principle called freedom.

I've been interested in the general topic of this book--our flawed and corrupt money creation/banking system and the albatross on the back of our society it represents--for a while now. Until reading this book, educating myself mostly involved absorbing the doom and gloom reality of the situation.

The best part about this book, as one reviewer already mentioned, is not Ms. Brown's immaculate analysis and presentation of the profound absurdity and utterly unnecessary folly of our current predicament. It's her optimistic proposal of an excellent, rational solution to monetary reform that could ultimately get us as close as possible to a utopian society, and in any case represents the system our founding fathers truly had in mind.

This book was the lynchpin for me that completely laid bare and clarified my thoughts about our f*cked up money system as it exists today and the fundamental, structural flaw(s) it inflicts on an otherwise prosperous and benign world, and the miserable consequences of its continued existence--then shows us the way out.

This book will undoubtedly provide every rational, thinking person with a brand new window through which to view the world. Understanding our dysfunctional and corrupt monetary system and how it shapes our society connected the dots for me in a way nothing else has and created an amazingly clear "big picture" that fundamentally changed my perception of just about everything. It also made most left vs. right/liberal vs. conservative political issues and arguments irrelevant since it pretty much overarches and transcends them.

I wholeheartedly agree with the majority of the reviewers here that it's one of, if not THE most important book you'll probably ever read. Get it any way you can and feed your head. Then spread the word to anyone else who will listen. It doesn't matter whether Amazon has it in stock since you can do like I did and buy the eBook version directly from the author's website: webofdebt.com. Given the timeliness of the material and the fact that the author does an excellent job of updating/revising the text and website to reflect the current financial meltdown as it's presently unfolding, that's probably the best method of purchase anyway.

If you agree with the author's general diagnosis and especially her proposed solutions, and believe like I do that she is correct in her assertation that a financial meltdown such as the one we are currently witnessing is the best chance to implement changes, then NOW is the time to act. First step: educate yourself....

Ellen Hodgson Brown has proven herself an absolute genius! I specialized in foreign languages in university, but economics was one language I really had no interest in, until recently, when I was awakened to the mass corruption governing our world and ultimately our lives. This book explains clearly and in an easy-to-understand manner WHO controls our money supply, who and what forces are and have been responsible for or behind the rise and fall of various currencies over the past decades, and why ours is going to be next. She also shows us a way OUT of the global economic crisis we now find ourselves in and proposes a number of possible and legitimate alternatives to the corrupt fractional reserve banking system that is sinking the American people deeper and deeper into debt, impoverishment, and enslavement. There ARE other alternatives! There IS a way OUT, but it is NOT, I'm sorry to say, the gold standard that so many people, most notably Mr. Griffin, author of "Creature from Jekyll Island", are hailing as the ultimate solution to our economic woes. Gold and silver backing didn't prevent the Great Depression! Gold and silver are just as open to manipulation by the people who CONTOL it! It's the fractional reserve system and the banks creating money out of NOTHING, and then charging US for it, that are to blame!

The original money used by the colonies was NOT backed by gold, and those were times of unprecedented prosperity! We were prosperous because we printed our OWN MONEY! That's the key! Gold and silver backing will do nothing until we get rid of fractional reserve banking!

To sum up, I have learned SO much from this book! I learned more from reading this one book than I did in all my years of public school education! This is a MUST-read for ALL who are interested in securing our release from the Web of Debt that currently has entangled us all.

I purchased this book for my mother-in-law who had seen it on TV. She was excited to get it. She didn't feel it contained as much information as they implied on the television show she had seen, but nonetheless, she was pleased.

I purchased this for my wife. She really liked it. My wife has been hand quilting since 1975, and her photo albums are stuffed. This book will enhance any book you might have on using 1930's fabric. Illustrations and instructions are very clear and easy to follow. You may wonder why this husband is writing this; because I'm a quilter too. Thread up that needle and let's go....Ken

This book is of such high quality and easy to read. I love all of her books.

THIS BOOK WAS EXTREMELY EASY TO READ AND PATTERNS FOR QUILTS ARE JUST FUN TO DO. I HAVE FOUND THAT ELEANOR BURNS GIVES THE BEST DIRECTIONS FOR HER PATTERNS AND THAT THE YARDAGE IS RIGHT ON THE MARK.I REALLY LIKED THIS BOOK.

I bought this book for my mom for Christmas and she absolutely loves it! She couldn't wait to get started on her next creation and says the patterns are easy to use and that this is one of the best gifts she received.

I'm not much of a sports person and so, even though I really enjoyed Dice Angel, I didn't know if I would like this one as much. I couldn't put it down! Rouff's books are as much character studies as they are exciting stories. Just as in Dice Angel, I REALLY cared what happened to these people. I wanted to laugh when they laughed and cry when they cried, and when justice is served in the end, I sent up a cheer. Great book!

MoneyShot is an exciting book to read from start to finish. We follow extensive character development of Alan `Nick' Nichols as he goes through a mid life crisis.

MoneyShot is a demonstration of how a person's life can change unexpectedly for the better. We see Nick's transition from a boring and unfulfilled advertising executive, husband and father to an impulsive man gambling away his future a la Vegas style.

Very easy to read and with a witty dialogue, I couldn't put it down till I finished reading it. The only fault I found with the book was that it had to end. Write more Brian Rouff! I loved it.

I have had the good fortune of finding Brian Rouff completely by accident. I read "Dice Angel" first and fell in love with his writing style and his quirky characters (see my review).

When I received "Money Shot" I did not think I would like it nearly as much as "Dice Angel" -- I am not particularly a basketball fan -- But I thought a lot of Las Vegas was in it so it would be a good read from that perspective. Man, was I ever wrong!!

I LOVED "Money Shot" -- I fell in love with ALL the characters, Nick the hero of the story, a burned-out nine to fiver advertising exec drinks a soda and the bottle cap offers him the chance of a lifetime -- sink a three pointer at half-time during a championship game and win a million bucks -- Nick, being skeptical, lets the bottle cap drift aimlessly among the detritus of his car. Luckily, Jason, the young up and comer at the agency sees the cap and tells Nick it's the real thing -- the real deal and he had better call so he can win his million bucks.

From that point on, Rouff hooks the reader better than Hemingway hooked a fish -- You can't put the book down -- Nick is one of the funniest people in fiction -- his asides kept me in stitches -- as I turned every page of the novel dreading coming to the end of a GLORIOUS READ, I realized (after having devoured "Dice Angel" Mr Rouff's other novel) what a genius this writer is.

He seams the story effortlessly among his characters that live and breathe like humans -- but humans you want to know and get to know -- no card-board, stereo-typical archetypes in Mr. Rouff's writing -- He's a writer's writer and a great, great story teller.

His dialogue is brilliant as are his created characters. I read "Money Shot" in one sitting -- it's fast, complex, human, with more twists and turns than a New York pretzel -- And the surprise ending nearly makes you delirious -- Don't despair though -- Mr. Rouff's endings are one of his greatest fortes -- they do not disappoint!!

I highly recommend any novel Mr. Rouff writes -- You will not be despairing until you reach the last page where it says THE END.

A genuine delight to read, and sprinkled with humor throughout. You don't have to be a basketball "junkie" to enjoy this book. "Nick" Nichols, the main character, has some stellar non-basketball moments in the book with his wife (and his perceptions on married life); with his co-workers (both the good and the bad ones),and with his teenage daughter.

Brian Rouff has created a fantastic story illustrating how even the biggest skeptic can achieve his dreams. This book was fast-paced and a very comfortable and enjoyable read. It was refreshing to read a novel that engaged me yet did not weigh me down with material that was too dense.

I think this book is perfect for both the avid and casual sports fan based upon the subject matter involved. However, because of the sacrifices and the journey taken by the main character in the novel, even a non-sports fan will be captivated the idea of a person and his family taking a shot at a lifetime of financial security.

I am greatly anticipating Mr. Rouff's next book!

In this day and age there are a lot of books on the shelves that have been written to aid people going through certain stages in their life. Perhaps one of the stages that have remained nearly untapped, or unaided, is that of the high school graduate on through the mid-twenties. Nicholas Aretakis has come to relieve the youth with his book, No More Ramen: The 20-Something's Real World Survival Guide. Aretakis writes with a clear and level-headed pen, engaging his young readers with schooling, employment, money, and still more. Aretakis has gathered information from hundreds of young men and women, 20-somethings as he so aptly names them, and not only lays out simple directions for many of the youth's questions but brings about those answers in a personal way by drawing upon comparisons of his own life as a 20-something 20-some odd years ago. Aretakis answers questions like what readers should look for in an employer, how business traveling schedules should be broken down between work and play, how to boost credit scores, and even tips on remembering fellow workers' names for those initial anxiety-filled times at a new job. Whether stuck in a rut or getting out into the blinding lights of the adult world, No More Ramen is an essential read for every 20-something looking for a bit of guidance.

After reading No More Ramen: The 20-something's Real World Survival Guide, by Nicholas Aretakis, my advice to prospective readers of this book is: do not be misled by the title; you do not have to be living off Ramen noodles to benefit from this book! ANYONE from the ages of 14 to 50, maybe 60, will find the information in here useful, because it covers such a wide range of topics that focus on advancing one's career as efficiently as possible. One topic I found particularly useful was about planning: analyzing what exactly your goals are and then developing a clear, direct path to achieve that goal. There is an abundance of useful information, resources and exercises squeezed into about 230 pages, but it's not repetitive and you don't need to memorize; the topics within the chapters are divided nicely, making it easy to use the book as a reference. If you are confused about what your goals are, I highly suggest you read this book, because it will help you put your life into proper perspective. Before I read this book, I was confused about what I really wanted to do in life, and about internships, graduate school, everything else that you hear about in college, and reading this book has helped me decide what I want to do in life, along with what steps I should take in order to achieve that. I feel more secure and confident about where I am now in life because I know I am doing what I should be doing. No More Ramen is an essential read, and the sooner you read it, the better.

Aretakis's book is a casual, conversational read, privileging readers with forgotten tips like what to say in a conference, what to look for in a job, and how to translate academic success to professional success. For all of you out there who have heard too often the clichéd schpiels about dressing to impress, running over portfolio pitches or simply following your heart to that perfect job that seems nonexistent, Aretakis gives you a little bit of that--and then blows you out of the water with the more important specifics.

I have to say, I was a little skeptical in reading a book entitled "No More Ramen". It wasn't exactly seeming like it would be very informative but boy was I wrong. I picked up this book and couldn't put it down. It was extremely insightful and surprised me with how true everything in the book was. Nicholas Aretakis takes complicated subjects that are plaguing all of us college age students such as budgets, graduation, work, interviews, co-workers, investing and other topics that most of us are clueless about, and gives advice on how to handle it. The book is also written so it's very easy to read. It's written in a no B.S. style and he really tells it how it is. It includes numerous charts and spreadsheets that will help you map out your goals and plans and even sample charts on how to set up a budget and start investing. He provides answers to questions such as: "How can I get what I want out of life? How do I balance work, family, and fun? How do I gain financial independence? How do I keep myself on track? Why does it feel so overwhelming to be a 20 something heading out into the real world?" These questions and many more are all answered in this book and I really gained valuable insight.

As a graduating senior I'm in the process of looking for a job, planning my future, figuring out how to pay for everything, and planning to live on my own which can be a scary thing but this book definitely give some good guidelines to help get you started so you don't flounder once you leave the safety net world of college. I know I have a ton of questions that I'm sure I wont know the answer to until I actually have to experience them but this book definitely gave me a head's up on how to handle those situations.

Even though this book is geared to 20 something's, I really believe a person of any age could benefit from this book because it speaks to a lot of different topics and concerns that even some 30 and 40 year olds haven't quite gotten the hang of yet. Nicholas Aretakis went cross country and interviews thousands of 20 something's and compiled and analyzed all the data and turned it into this book in an easy to understand format. It really lets you know that you're not the only one panicking and having problems but that a majority of the rest of the youth of the country has the same worries and anxieties that you have. At the end of the book there is the chapter entitled "My 11 Must knows" where he gives a sweeping overview of the book and his last words of advice and he does a fantastic job condensing all the information. He says that there are 4 qualities that make up a happy and balanced life: Freedom, Accomplishment, Money, and Enjoyment. Nicholas Aretakis takes them 4 pillars and explains ways throughout the book on how to achieve them. I very highly recommend this to be on every 20 something's bookshelf and maybe even their parents' bookshelves because it truly is a very useful and insightful book to read. Well done Mr. Aretakis.

Author offers support in his forum, that is wonderful. I still have many questions after reading the book, I joined his forum, and he is able to offer support. For example: I could never see my own looks in astral, author told me a way on his forum. It is like a personal teacher right next to me. Great author. And every buyer kept this book, I am the same, whenever I forget something, I can always refer to the book. WONDERFUL.

This is most useful astral projection book, I have used the methods myself. These books from Sapphire are actully very good, I am keeping all the books.

I had a car accident, I was sitting at the backseat. However, due to the accident, I got my first OBEE experience, I was floating in the air near the car and saw my body was rescued by the ambulance workers. And later, in the hospital I had a near death experience. I could not quite comprehend all of these, then was referred by a friend about this book.

I have no idea astral projection could be so easy. My mother was curious about astral projection also. According to the author, this is one of the skills to find relatives who passed away. I share this book with my mother, one day, she told me...she found my father in astral who passed away ten years ago. Thanks to this book.

No one re-sell this book, it is the proof. And self explanatory about... why this book is a keeper and will last generations.

What I like about the author is: Author is straight forward, will not waste your time reading million worthless words, I mean who has the time. This book is certainly my style. Astral projection opened my visions, found many wonders that cannot be explained by human nor scientists. Like this book and recommend it.
