Although no doubt a useful guide to serious researchers interested in the Haffenreffer-Herreshoff collection at MIT, this work's value to the yachtsman starts with Appendix C - the Herreshoff Manufacturing Company Construction Record. This appendix is a facsimile reproduction of the actual construction records of the Company, both sail and power, in order of hull number, and including original owners and yacht names. An invaluable guide for those interested in classic yacht restoration and history.

Good source of reference for HACCP subject matter

This is a wonderful pictorial tribute to the beautiful Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments that make our Christmases brighter! It lists the hundreds of ornaments produced from 1973 to 1993, provides wonderful color photos for each, lists the artist who designed them, and their original list price. It gave me a reference of all of the 'Baby's First Christmas' ornaments from the year that my son was born, so that I could fill in the gaps in my ornament collection. It also depicts special premiere and 'Collector's Club' ornaments that the public doesn't always see. I especially enjoyed the section that displayed an ornament from the 'idea phase' to the 'completed stage'. This Guide is a treasured resource to assist all collectors and a definite 'must have.'

For anyone working in accelerator physics, electron microscopy, or microwave tube design, this book provides an excellent and very up to date picture of the field. Each chapter is contributed by an expert in the field. Highly recommend it!

I found this to be a most useful book, especially the chapter describing the advanced forecasting systems developed at Quaker Oats. Kudos to the authors!

This is an excellent reference - extensive and comprehensive compliation. Good overview of fundamentals, also practical application. Must read for anyone interested in fluidization and fluid particle systems.

Collecting Books of this type from a century ago is a fascination of mine. Finding one written today that is understandable and relative is quite a feat. This is one of over fifty books on the subject in my library. It is the only one that can be used in todays machining world that does not overlook the contributions of authors of a century ago and more particularly authors writting around World War II. It has always been my opinion that learning to program a cnc machine tool does not a machinist make although many would have us believe this. However, if you are forced into that type of situation, without the aid of working an apprenticeship in a toolroom, this book is invaluable. Although becoming slightly dated in content, most of the off the shelf tooling mentioned in the text is still available. This should be require reading for all persons involved in metal machining industries. It at least let's one know what is readily available so that you don't have to reinvent the wheel. Practical knowledge for little money.

This is an excellent and relatively unique compilation of all the really necessary-to-know facts about current metalforming practises and technology. It is an essential read and necessary companion-handbook for everyone involved in the metalforming industry from the steel mill through to service centers and right down to the fabricator. Operational as well as sales people will benefit from the knowledge and be brought up to date with current practises and thought on this subject in especially Northern America.

It was rather expensive however, but one can understand that due to the specific and relatively small target market for this type of information, that there will be a cost to the low volumes. Anyone in the steel industry will know what I mean!

This book is advance technologies of next generation. So, too many student and enigeerers will read this book.
