This book is an excellent work about the mechanical assemblies for whom is studying this subject.

This is an inclusive, detailed overview of the problems associated with designing and fabricating mechanical assemblies. Whitney covers every conceivable aspect of the assembly task, from mathematical models to product architecture to assembly system layout to assembly workstation design. I especially appreciate the way he explicitly connects the assembly design task to the overall task of product design.

The book is full of great illustrations and examples, and each chapter has plenty of references to point you to other sources. I plan to use this text in our product design program at Ohio State in the near future. An excellent complement to Product Design by Otto and Wood, and Bralla's Design for Manufacturability Handbook.

Outstanding Book, I have learn so much information regarding the Diesel Engine, very technical yet, easy for a begginer to follow;This book cover most of the Diesel manufactures including the most dominant at my work the Detroit Diesel Series 50.
In some instances some of the more season mechanics have thumb throu and found answers to their questions.

If you are searching for this book you probably already know what it is. If you are in materials related research, it is imperative that you acquire this book. It contains compositional tables that are invaluable if you often find yourself looking at an EDS spectrum and you are thinking "Hmm... what alloy is this?". Each metal or alloy (ferrous and non-ferrous) is addressed with at least compositional information, common applications, corrosion resistance, and mechanical properties. It is comprehensive and well worth the purchase.

As a lifelong collector of mid-century plastic jewelry, I have found the literature on the subject to be amaturish and rather incomplete. No More! This excellent work by Ms Klein certainly will become the "bible" in this field and I feel will overshadow other works in print. The histories, methods of deteriming material, and care and repair as well as the splendid photography make this book a "must" for every collector and dealer.

This is a great new book on plastic jewelry. I especially enjoyed Chapters 1 and 2 because of the interesting background information on the production of costume jewelry and the tips on how to distinguish one type of plastic from another. Organized by color, the examples of plastic jewelry are beautifully photographed.

I was pleasantly surprised to see several of my toy concepts presented in Ms. Baker's book, "Modern Toys". As Vice President of Product Concept & Development for Creative Playthings of CBS Toys, in the late 70's, when the broadcast giant also delivered quality educational and learning toys and games, my group birthed what I now frequently grace the tables of flea-markets and yard-sales. One series, "Block Family", is represented in the "Who-Sit?" category, to which I quickly responded with patent details for Linda's "next book", which I sincerely hope she may produce. I grew up with many of the classics in her array, and applaude her for preserving, at least in print, memories for millions of youngsters, of a more simpler period in childhood-Americana.

This book has a selection of toy pictures from all the big toy manufactuers, with an extensive section on Fisher Price, both for little people and their earlier push toys. A great book to go to for reference when I am checking on a set's piece count or number. The color pictures are wonderful, but coverage can be spotty....that is, not all toy manufacturers and their lines are as fully represented as I would like them to be. Nevertheless, this is one of my main toy reference books. Feel free to email me if you would like to know how well a certain manufacturer is represented, and I will be happy to look it up for you.

I was red the book about the type of method is the MOST and what I need to do to improve the actual activities of the work.
I think that the MOST is good method to improve the mesasurement of the work becausae explain of which it consists, and It had exemples to improve the explanation.

Having been an Industrial Engineer and Management Consultant for many years I am allways sceptical when a "new" tecnique is launched. It was in this frame of mind that I approached MOST. What a revelation, not new as such as it is based on the original tried and trusted MTM system, however it is a fresh approach, and a welcome one at that! Here is a system which is statisticaly accurate, quick to apply,and easy to understand. More importantly it encourages method development and improvement. As a recommendation I would encourage everyone in this field of operation to read this book and consider its application. I did and have just completed the approved training and certification course.
