My son was given this book at his birth. He is now 2 and knows every truck in this book by name and loves to "read" it daily. This book has a lot of technical information that is placed in a good context for children to understand (ie. a roller weighs 15 tons-as much as about 5,000 watermellons) but mostly it has great pictures of trucks. I have three daughters who do not understand his infatuation with this book, but truly it is his favorite. I would reccomend this book to anybody with a boy even as young as 2 (although I'll warn you we've had to tape several pages because of his age!).

The Mike Munves catalogs are super references if you want to know about electro mechanical arcade games. Their catalogs contain many games, some of which have completely disappeared. They make great references for restoring these older games which may have little or no existing paperwork or photos other than in the Munves catalogs.

Even if you are not an arcade collector, these catalogs are fun to look through. The language used in the 1950s is different than we speak today, the games and entertainment devices in the catalog are also very unusual and a stark contrast against todays modern video games and video arcade games. This is not a pinball book, it is filled with true electro mechanical arcade games.

A collection of these catalogs is a must for any arcade gaming collector.

I find this topic very interesting because it is related to my course which is Manufacturing Engineering.

If you apply William Atwoods principles, all that is left for you to do is "write the check." He lays everything out so simply that everyone at any age can understand the principles of investing for a real millionaire future. The best part of the book is the real life stories of people who are just ordinary, common wage earners, and how they put into place the way to financial freedom. The only way you can loose is if you don't really want to be a millionaire!

This book is a necessity for any serious collector of Mills bell machines. It is filled with reproductions of the original Mills sales literature, parts lists, price lists, pictures with parts callouts, etc. A treasure of information. See also Mills of the Forties.

The author talks about the philosophy of work. He successfully explains the differences between what or who is benefiting from ergonomics or from the ergonomist. Employer or employee? Does the state have the right to come forth & make guidelines on ergonomics,ethics, or how they're applied? Karl Marx or Frierdrich Engels knew nothing of ergonomics when they wrote the "Communist Manifesto" 1848. Is ergonomics for a Capitalist society or communist society. W.T.Singleton answered the question in true non-bias form so the reader can form their own opinion on the topics. Most authors claim to be bias on issues but make their views look politically correct. This book allows the reader to form their own opinion. Knowledge is what you believe to be true. If you don't believe something to be true you have no knowledge of it. Allowing the reader or people to form their own opinion is truly the way to educate the society. Well done "Singleton"

This is a good reference work for explaining practical

This book is a wonderful mix of fiction and non-fiction stories. The stories are so well written, the reader is unsure which is which. There is also a blend in some of the stories of both types of story. If anyone can find this book, read it and see for yourself. You will never get rid of it.
