I love this book. It explains all of the sewing techniques in detail with diagrams and pictures. French Handsewing by Machine includes the Heirloom Party dress pattern in sizes 1-10, and a Christening Dress pattern sizes 3,6 and 9 months. There are also instructions for making a French Blouse by adapting the party dress pattern, and a Round Lace Portrait Collar to go with it. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in learning french heirloom sewing.

Plays by Cocteau, Girudoux, Anouilh, Montherland, Camus and Sartre in French. With a well-considered introduction on The Theater in Modern France, and excellent essays on each of the playwrights. A superb collection for the student of French Literature, for instructors, or for those wanting a fine overview of French plays from this period.

Prof. Dwijesh Dutta Majumder and Prof. Sankar K. Pal, have done an amazing job in bringing out the root relations between the abstract aspects of fuzzy logic and pattern recognition. Their representation of the topic seems to make the intricate bonds between these varied topics seem more realistic than we are led to believe. This book is an excellent source of knowledge for someone starting out in pattern recognition and I recommend it without reservation to PR students. A good understanding of fuzzy maths, however, might be necessary to grasp the essential concepts of PR-deduction algorithms and set applications. A very commendable achievement!

A great book for young first time readers with lots of fun but good informnation very well explained with pictures

This is the book contains all the information you need to operate your sewing machine. It helps you along with step by step photos. Includes clothes for beginners to sew. This book is very easy to follow. A definate must for the beginner in sewing.

Frances Balkwill has the ability to write about science without making it seem to science-y or over kids heads. Mic Rolph's pictures are fun and draw kids in to the ideas. This book explains cells, proteins, DNA, as well as some current genetic hot topics. I use these with junior high students. They are always engaged in the topic!

Reeves and Rowe provide a very readable overview of what is currently known about evolutionary algorithms. While the book provides very good coverage of several recent models of GA dynamics, it would be worth the money if only for the chapter on the dynamical systems treatment of GAs.

Vose's "The Simple Genetic Algorithm" is a brilliant piece of work, but it also holds the distinction of being the earliest in a book that I have ever become utterly, completely, hopelessly lost. I refer to this book as "the one I use to figure out what Vose was talking about."

Genetic Programming helps computers to write their own software, make discoveries, and no doubt will help robots interact with humans in some not too distant future. This book is more interesting than most because each chapter discusses GP from a different perspective. Yet, chapters seem inter-related. By reading the whole book I have gotten more than the sum of all of the individual chapters. It is definitely a good source of information about the state of the art in GP.
