the youngest of toddlers will love this book, reading not required, it is fun to just play with and the pictures speak for themselves. my grandson loves this(2 years old, definitely not a reader yet)

My kid loves streetsweepers, its a nice book. He was 3 when I used to read this to him.

This latest book by Naomi Shihab Nye is warm and funny and endlessly entertaining. It is always such a pleasure to be in the company of Naomi Nye as she looks at our world. In this collection of vignettes, Naomi takes us traveling across the US and around the world. From the back seats of taxis and the lobbies of hotels we encounter peculiar, heartwarming and just plan wacky taxi drivers and clerks. Human nature is the subject and in the hands of Ms. Nye it is fascinating. I recommend the friendship between a cat and his driver in San Antonio.
Irresistable.

My 2 year old loves fire trucks, and this book goes in great detail about what a fire fighter and a fire truck do.

You'll cheer for Jeffrey the Jeep! It has a cute and meaningful story and colorful illustrations. It is not a board book and so is probably best for 4-8 years old but my 2 year old son loves it anyway.

The book was an easy read and filled with information and great photo's. We learned a lot and it was perfect to complete our project.

One of my soon-to-be-nine-year-old nephew's first words was "backhoe," so I knew his abiding interest in heavy machinery would make this book of great interest to him! This colorful and informative book is listed as suitable for ages 9-12--I think it's for people of all ages. Even adults can learn from it (it's chock-full of information, and a lot of it I, at 39, didn't know!), and very small children would still enjoy being shown the pictures. The only complaint I have--and it's very mild--is, I wish this book had an index. It would be nice to be able to instantly find the various cranes, bulldozers, hydraulic excavators. But then again, maybe this is a good thing: the book is short and sweet, and paging through to find the exact giant machine you're looking for doesn't take long, and leads to a lot of interesting diversions!

It seems to me that if you are good in managing your life it will carry the idea to be good managers in the company. I think that it is very true.

My son LOVES this book! It has a wonderful sing song rhythem and a beautiful sentimental story. This is a must read and well worth the effort to find this out of print book.

Your kids will enjoy this interactive book that allows the listener to actively 'toot' Little Clown Car's horn as they squeeze the plastic car in the middle of each page. The book is entertaining to both reader and encourages participation by requiring the listener to follow each word until they are required to 'toot' (squeeze) each time they see a certain clown-car symbol. Your kids will certainly have fun with Little Clown Car's Big Day words, colors and sounds.
