The first 3 books in the series were by far the best (the betrayal the secret and the burning) then the next 1- 10 were great........but after that it just kinda goes downhill, like off the original subject... but the book itself was good

This was definitley my favorite Fear Street Sagas book. Margarete Fier was a really great character, and her power was pretty cool, too. The flashbacks were interesting as well, since you were able to figure it the back story, which is sometimes kinda unclear in these books. I was dissapointed that this was the end of the series and that #17 never came out, but at least it ended well.

Book 2 of the Nikki and Michael series. Books may be a little hard to find, I had to order all 4 through borders. In this one Nikki and Michael meet again while on another case, but this time there's even more tension while Nikki admits to herself she feels something for Michael, there's the fact that his vamp creator is in the same hotel. Great sequel and it is best to read all these in orders, they don't work well as stand alone.

Keri Arthur-Best of the Best for Paranormal Romance

For those who have not yet had the joy of reading a Keri Arthur novel, all I can say is that you are truly missing out. Although her first book only came out just over a year ago, she is already an award-winning author and she deserves every kudos that goes her way. HEARTS IN DARKNESS is the second book in the Nikki and Michael series. Although it can be read as a stand alone, for the best reading enjoyment, I truly think that DANCING WITH THE DEVIL should be read first.

In HEARTS IN DARKNESS, Michael and Nikki have been apart for six months. Michael believes that the only way he can overcome his bloodlust is by staying away from the one woman who brings it out in him. But when he learns from the leader of the Circle that Nikki's death is imminent unless he goes to her, he of course can't stay away.

Nikki is overjoyed to have Michael in her life again, for she knows that she will never love anyone else but Michael. She just has to convince Michael that they are better together than apart. The case they are working on has them posing as newlyweds to find out who is kidnapping wealthy men from a resort. Dark magic and a woman from Michael's past are involved in the disappearances. Nikki also has to deal with the dangers of new psychic powers emerging-when she doesn't understand how or where they are coming from. They are in for the fight of their lives.

Nikki and Michael's continuing love story is fantastic. Paranormal romance lovers shouldn't hesitate to purchase this new series. I can't wait to read CHASING THE SHADOWS, the third book in the series, which should be out later this year. Keri Arthur's books are true keepers!

Michael has been gone for six months now, Nikki has all but given up on him and is deep in another case. While following a teenager, she is attacked by several vampires, who kidnap the teen. Just as she is about to follow to Wyoming, Michael reappears, having been assigned a related case by the Circle. Apparently a number of rich men have disappeared from an exclusive resort there and when they return, they stay out of the sun and only come out at night, but aren't obviously vampires. There is something odd about them that the Circle needs clarified and eliminated.

I enjoyed this addition to the series. Michael and Nikki are very appealing characters. The villians are evil enough, and there are several twists in vampire lore to be found. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

This book has one of the best Haunted House plots I've ever read about. The story line and the characters all tie in to one another. The Cover was astounding! That was one of the best parts of the book. While the writing itself isn't ment for older children, it still fascinated me.I love these three books and wish the authors would write a more advanced version of them.
I only have Book 1 and 3, but I hope oneday I can find the 2nd. I will treasure these books forever!

I didn't like it at all. I read part 1 of this book and it was good. This book didn't even close to as good as the other one. The author kept describing one thing and that wasn't bad. The only thing that was wrong, is that it ended the complete opposite of what I thought. I didn't like the ending either. At the end of every chapter, it had a good cliffhanger. When you read the next chapter, it didn't have much to do with the cliffhanger or it ended up not being good. The book kept you in suspence most of the time, but it wnt away too fast. You could guess who was making all of the trouble by just reading the first couple chapters. All of the main characters in th book were really cool and they stayed in my mind really well. Overall, I thought that this book wasn't that good, but I liked it a little. It would have been better if the story was mre suspenceful and the cliffhangers would end in a different way. One of the lessons I learned in this novel is never underestimate people no matter who they are. They could do anything at anytime. If you are thinking of reading this book, I wouldn't recommend it. I would grade this book a 2 on a scale from 1-10. .

THis book was simply amazing! I thought the plot was a little predictable and I kind of saw the end coming (but all my friends who read it couldn't). It was full of irony and weird twists. I think at the end it started to contradict the writing in the beginning. At any rate, the book was really good! I thought it had a few querks but all of the writing was awesome! There was great detail and everything was so believable! I thought it was great! But, since no one else has said this, it is a thrilling spine-tingler, but, some parts are kind of disturbing, I won't discourage reading it but there are a few creepy parts, to give yall fair warning. Thanks for reading my review.

"If He Hollers" is a suspense book written by A.G Cascone. It's setting takes place in a small town in present time. It is about a group of friends who saw a kidnapping, and tried to foget it, until ten years later.
There are four main characters you need to know: Stacey, Eric, Mel, and Jimmy. It was Stacey's sixth birthday party and all the kids from school were there, when Bobby Crawford was kidnapped. There was only one eye witness a girl named Mel. She saw the kidnapper and blamed herself for the kidnapping. She wished she could have ran out and stopped the guy. Instead she stood there and screamed as little Bobby Crawford was dragged farther and farther in to the dark woods. Exactly ten years later, the kidnapper comes back. First he take Stacey's brother and then Stacey. Jimmy, Eric, and Mel are all worried, and the police say that they most likely just ran away. No one will help them. Mel finds the courage inside of herself, and goes to find some clues in the woods. She finds a can of beer, the same brand the police found after Bobby Crawford disappeared. She brings it to the polce station and they match the finger prints of the kidnapper. Still the police have their doubts.
There was a lot of irony in this book, or a twist in events. While your reading this book you think you know whos the kidnapper is the whole time, when all of a sudden the books rotates a 180 on you. Nothing is what it seems. I think there is a strong surprise ending. You'll never guess who it is. There was also a lot of imagery. When Mel described the woods, I felt chills going up and down my spine. The characters were probably the strongest part of the book. It described all the characters so well. I felt like I knew them all of my life.
This was one of the best books I have ever read. I read the whole book in one day. I just couldn't put the book down. It was that good. I started at nine one night and just kept reading all night. I would recommend this book to anyone. It's simply the greatest.
In conclusion, I think you should read this book. I really enjoyed reading it. I dont really like reading, I find most so boring. If you're like me you won't want to give this book a chance, but please do. I promise you won't be disappointed.

I LOVE portrayals of monster rabbits because I have one myself--I took him in when I found him hopping down the street one week after Easter--yup, he was one of those poor abandoned Easter rabbits. He repays me by acting the savage beast. It is hilarious to be attacked by such an adorable creature, and his is SO WELL represented in this book!

Anyone who loves Monty Python, or who is a fan of Anya understands that rabbits are really voracious, man-eating creatures that hunt the night (or Knight) looking for the unsuspecting. And yet we continue to expose out children to them, believing that appearances could never be that deceiving. Finally, Michel Gagne has decides to take the lid of this secret scandal and reveal to the world the real horror that lurks between those sad brown eyes and cutesy tails.

Gagne was an illustrator in the well-known Don Bluth Studios until they closed in 1992. during that period he and another artist, Dave Kupczyk had a one-on-one competition about who could draw the evilest rabbit. While we won't know the real winner until Kupczyk publishes his own book, Gagne's rabbits are a delightfully evil and twisted as they come. The stuff of fluffy nightmares.

This is one of those books that is reserved for gag gifts for rabbit enthusiasts and excesses of cute, but it is fun for anyone that discovers it. Even as we speak, my cats are checking it out and whispering tales about that famous serial killer, Jack the Rabbit. You can't help but like this thin volume. Recommended for the light of heart.

There is a ghost in the girl's bathroom. And Ivy and Bean try to stop it. The main characters are Ivy and Bean. The setting of this book is at school and at Ivy's house. The meaning is Adventure. What the author is saying is have fun and stick up for your friend. My favorite part of the book is when they make a potion to stop the ghost. It actually starts in a funny way. It starts like they are eating lunch and playing with their cheese (actually looking through the hole in their cheese. A person would like this book if they like to read about magic, spells and being sneaky.

My eight year old discovered Ivy & Bean over the summer as part of a summer reading program. It was a total struggle to get her to read. Once she read Ivy and Bean she was willing to read anything I put in front of her if the reward at the end was another Ivy and Bean book. We just purchased this volume and she read it all through dinner, even telling her sister she was too busy to play video games. According to her "It's really funny, and Ivy and Bean are super nice girls except they like to play tricks sometimes and do other things like my friends and I do and it's not mean or scary and I laughed a lot. Oh, and in this one they think there's a ghost but there probably isn't and sometimes I think there are ghosts places too, but then they aren't there, so I liked that."

This is the last book of the series. I really enjoyed this series. It is about an amusement park (Fear Park). This piece of fiction (which I don't usually choose) takes place in a small town in Canada and combines history, intrigue, jealousies and tender compassion entwined amongst realistically developed characters who will keep you guessing as to their true natures. The Canadian Roma (gypsy) famila that passes through the community twice a year mixes supernatural tradition into the pot of history and current events, creating a captivating and touching story.

I've waited a long time for a book like Magdalena's Song to be written. Scenery is set up beautifully but the most impressive part of the book is definitely the plot. As the mystery spins out I was lured to turn page after page and entranced by the most unusual but believable characters. The intricately woven plot is woven with wonderful segments of description and lots of realistic dialogue. And, like the novels of Lucy M.Montgomery, every chapter in Mestern's novel is full of good food! The story is a symphony of words accompanied by a phantom gypsy violin. Great book! I couldn't put it down.

I'd like to thank Pat Mestern for writing the best book I've read in years. I purchased Magdalena's Song on a Sunday and am usually the type of reader that usually takes weeks to finish a book. I enjoyed this book so much I read it, cover to cover, in two days, closed the cover on Tuesday afternoon. What a wonderful book! I couldn't put it down.

Great story.

I've never before been so caught up in the lives of a book's characters. From beginning to end "Magdalena's Song" kept me entertained, intrigued and totally immersed in the story. The book made me want to pay a visit the area in which the story took place - Ontario, Canada. I've placed "Magdalena's Song" on my list of purchases for Christmas presents for everyone on my list.

Magdalena's Song is well written. Its pages are inhabited by wonderful characters set in a village you won't soon forget. I couldn't put this book down until the last page was turned. A number of us in our reading group are still debating one burning question - but then you'll have to read it to find out what that question is.

May Bird and Somber Kitty's adventures continue in this worthy successor to May Bird and the Ever After. The story is genuinely suspenseful and continues to display as much depth and originality as the first. Be advised that some younger readers may find the content too disturbing.

A strength of the story is the depiction of May. May is an ordinary child who finds herself in very extraordinary circumstances. Although May is suitably scared as she tries to find a way to escape the Ever After, she also demonstrates amazing courage and heart as she is faced with increasing touch choices.

I think it can be empowering for young readers to see a character in a story who shares their insecurities and self-doubts but ultimately finds inner strength that isn't born of magic or superhuman abilities.

As another character notes, May is small but she is also so much more.

An incredibly fun and creative read for intermediate students.

During my first year of teaching 4th grade, I had incidentally bought this book at a "Scholastic Book Fair" at our school. Having read the "teaser" on the back of the book, I began reading this book as a daily "read-a-loud" to my students. We absolutely loved it and they couldn't wait to read each new chapter. My students, both boys and girls related to the colorful characters. My girls especially loved the slow but sure transformation the shy May Bird underwent as she unwittingly explores the "Ever After."
A few of my students transferred to another school during this school year, and I made sure to send them off with their very own (signed by all) copy of May Bird, books one and two.
Word spread around about this book in our small school and soon siblings and friends in other classes were asking about this book. This year my new class of 4th grade students are already familiar with the story and are begging me to start reading it as a daily read-a-loud.
This is truly a well written and creative story that children will enjoy and remember for a long time!

May Bird-Among the Stars

May Bird- Among the Stars, by Jodi Lynn Anderson, is a fun fantasy fiction. It is also a sequel to the first book, May Bird and the Ever After.
May Bird- Among the Stars is about May Bird, and her journey through the world of ghosts. She is traveling with her friends, Pumpkin, a house ghost, Beatrice, who is looking for her mother, Captain Fabbio, who is looking for his lost crew, and Somber Kitty, May's hairless cat from home. As you might know from the first book, May and Kitty aren't dead, and soon find that they are not alone. There's a secret colony of "un-dead" underground.
I loved this book, because it's filled with adventure. If you liked the first book, you'll love this. Will May save everyone? Will Beatrice be reunited with her mother? Will May and Kitty get back home? Find out here!
