One of the first Historical Romance novels I every read. From then on I was hooked. This book will make you laugh, and cry. The story line was extraordinary and the characters came alive. You FEEL every emotion that they feel, including the fear that is always following Thomasina wherever she goes. You will fall in love with all the men who play intricate roles in her life. I very much enjoyed the comical banter you will find among the characters at times. You will find this book VERY hard to put down!

In my opinion an excellent historical romance, well written, with excellent historical detail; an entertaining and compelling story of enduring love and passion without being overly repetitive, inaccurate or repugnant. For lover's of actual historical events mixed with a great love story, you will really enjoy this book.

This was my first Evelyn Rogers book and I loved it. I have a favorite keeper shelf and this book is on it. I fell in love with Sam Delaney and I had never read about the time period of the 1830's and the war over Mexico. She really gives you a detailed description. I have two copies of this book just in case I lose one!

The only series offhand that I can say lives up to the orignal's authors(Howard)story. Mr. Offutt authored a half dozen before his passing.

I found this book in a used bookstore and loved every page of it. Zac is one of those few male characters that I really love. Would love to see Ms. Fletcher write another western. Even though she seems to be concentrating more on magic titles with her lovely series of witch books.

This was a great book which I enjoyed very much. I really liked the way Audrey and Charles have their ups and downs, the same games lovers play today! Theirs was an arranged marriage, but they hit all the bumps in the road to true love that anyone else would. All the same worrying, crying, misunderstandings and jumping to conclusions, that myself and many others can relate to! Thank goodness things turned out as well for me as for her! :-) Bon apetit!
